I am on the side of not wanting hope to be like that but Hayley don't talk as if you are completely innocent and don't forget that Elijah is over a 1000 years old there's going to be some bad things there

Well Hayley that is basically Hope destiny the moment it was revealed her father was Klaus Mikelson.

Hayley is such a hypocrite. She's done and is willing to do monstrous things. The direction this storyline just took ruined the entire show for me.

A little late to worry about what Hope learns from his family, right? 😒😒

I have never been a supporter of Haley and Elijah's relation mainly because of how badly she treats him. Didn't you Haley say yourself you spent the last five years betraying and killing people just to cover your tracks in an attempt to keep hope safe from danger? He's one of the oldest vampires in history and on top of that is the brother of Klaus Mikaelson who is basically a serial killer psychopath who spent his entire life murdering people for fun plus he's the father of your daughter who cursed you into werewolf because of his own selfishness and your worried about Elijah with your daughter? This episode broke the camel's back for me with this sad ass excuse of a relationship.

This was honestly just bad writing. She sees one dark memory from his past centuries ago and suddenly she's repulsed by him? She knows the Mikaelsons have all done terrible things, including herself, and yet how easily she is frightened away.

Poor Hayley little did she knew that she gave birth to a cub . Cub would definitely hunt, Naturally!

Everyone has a dark side. Especially a 1,000 year old man. I am scared of the person who doesn't have one. But did she except? All sunshine and rainbows up in there?! I really really did not like her from the moment I saw her

Haley has point she wants that Hope become a better person than all of them

I didn’t like Hayley in the early seasons, but S4 made me like her more and this scene drew it home. By S5, I loved her. [I know this doesn’t actually apply to Hayley and Elijah, so don’t whine to me that I’m implying that.] “I worry that she’ll see that I’m okay with it.” When she said that, I was thinking more along the lines of abusive relationships/marriages rather than supernatural stuff. I know it’s not as simple as “She should just leave if he’s abusive,” but just staying there forever and not even trying to get outside help so that no harm comes to them while they leave? (Unfortunately, my dad’s younger wife is staying with him. But fortunately, he’s blind and will spend the remainder of his life - he’s 64 - being dependent on others, even if that doesn’t affect his mouth and any verbal abuse he’d use) A father constantly calling his wife or daughter “stupid” (for example) until the daughter is no longer fazed by the insult can carry over to relationships as an adult. Children shouldn’t be desensitized to abuse. No one should be thinking it’s normal to be pained, or cause a child pain. Unfortunately, not everyone grows out of the cycle of abuse and breaks it with their own children.

Honestly hopes opinion doesn’t matter. Elijahs waited too long

I feel like people are too harsh on Hayley and not really seeing the bigger picture. She’s a mother first and has to put her child first. That’s all she’s ever really done throughout this show.

I get Hayley’s a mother first and putting Hope first, but what did she expect? Klaus was abused and pursued by mikael for centuries and targeted since he was an innocent child and his lunatic mother could have easily gotten rid of mikael as a human but didn’t protect him, nor let him be raised by Ansel his biological father. I hated how she treated Elijah whom just tried to save his brother and family. She acts like she’s righteous and innocent, it’s not easy and I get her point of Hope seeing it but it is her blood family and sooner or later she would ask and need them. I always thought if she had succeeded in raising Hope with Jackson she (Hope) could of been resentful she never knew her father despite everything. I think yes she would of loved Jack but would of preferred Klaus because blood calls and she needs him and the mikaelson family. Elijah deserved better perhaps a peaceful life with Gia, whom despite everything saw him as the man he is and treated him as such. She admitted later she loved Elijah because of what she always knew he was. Hope was a mikaelson by birth and blood 🩸 sooner or later she was going to find out but I get her point of wanting to protect her innocence as long as possible like Klaus has mentioned because no one protected theirs
