I liked this season and I like that its short bc 23 is just far too long. But I liked this season bc we got to see a different side of klaus especially when he let kol and devina go... and got to see elijahs not so good side, got to see freya fall in love... got to finally see hope a little more grown up. I liked the story of the hollow and how she was the reason of werewolves... bc we all knew how vampires were created etc. idk about everyone else but i liked this season. Its far more better than TVD although i am obsessed with both shows.

I've been loving this whole season. I'm not sure why people are complaining about the direction this show has gone. The characters are still strong characters and I'm loved the way they've all grown and evolved. I'm glad that Klaus and Elijah aren't exactly how they were from the start. It wouldn't make any sense for the experiences they've had to not change them.

I'm not sure how I feel about the season overall. It wasn't bad, but I expected more.

Why are people upset that Klaus isn't the same person from TVD. Did you really expect him not to change for his daughter? You guys do realized that in the VERY FIRST EPISODE, through the dialogue with Klaus and Elijah, they laid out the foundation for the show. The show is about The Originals starting again in a new city and hopefully becoming better individuals through and for Hope. You really can't expect Klaus to be the same monstrous guy now that he is a father and you can't really expect Hope to not be a prominent character. Without Hayley being pregnant with Hope there would be no basis for this spinoff.

Klaus cannot always be the villain and this season was to bring a softer side of him. I hoped for a longer time jump tho one where hope would be a teenager or something and where she's not only a witch I sorta hoped she would be the exception to the rule that a person cannot be a witch and a vampire.

The season finale just broke my heart, it actually felt like a series finale 😕 so beautiful yet sad 💔but I still want Klaus to b happy though 💔

IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE SHOW JUST DON'T WATCH IT. QUIT COMPLAINING. IT'S JUST A SHOW YOU CHOOSE IF YOU WATCH IT OR NOT.

I don't discriminate against people who send their kids to boarding school, I'm sure it's very educational, but the main reason I feel so strongly against sending Hope to the special school, is that Klaus and Hayley will miss so much of their daughters life- which sucks because Klaus has only just gotten to know Hope and has only known and raised her for a short while, he's already missed SO MUCH. He deserves to raise her and watch her grow up, not ship her off to school. Lizzie and Josie get to be raised by Alaric and Caroline, which is only fair because they LIVE inside the school and OWN it. They get to see their parents EVERY DAY. I understand that Hope wants friends her own age, and a normal life, but do you ACTUALLY think she'd realistically pick having friends over her parents? After wanting and yearning to meet her family for so long, and FINALLY having a bond with her father? Also, the Originals aren't very liked in Mystic Falls. And, if there's a time jump to when Hope is a teenager, then it'll be all about Hope. I like the show revolving around Hope, but it's mainly about the Originals, Freya, and Hayley- which I like. I want Hope, her being a regular character on the show would be great, but not as THE main character. She's a big part of the story, but I don't want her to be the next Elena. The vampire diaries was about Bonnie, Caroline, Damon, Stefan, Elena, Matt, Jeremy, and Tyler. But, overall, the show mainly revolved around Elena. The Originals is about Freya, Marcel, Klaus, Hayley, Elijah, Rebekah, Kol, Camille, and Davina. But, overall, it revolves around Klaus. I don't want this show to mainly show Hope, I don't want her to become the next Elena or Klaus. She's interesting, and she'd be a great regular on the show, but we don't want her as THE regular.

So Klaus, Freya, Rebekkah and Eljah will have to be separated till the episode ends and maybe next season Klaus will go in Mystic Falls and use her "daughters" and Bonnie's powers to defeat the hollow. One of the possibilities.

*I think many of us are reluctant to realize that the season and the entire show is coming to an end, they ordered 13 episodes instead of 22 which we are used to* .Normally this would be a mid season finale but it is the overall season finale - which came so quickly. Normally a season of TO focuses on one main problem/villian - the witches, Marcel etc but this season had so much more problems and dynamics (which may have been all over the place a bit - jumping from one scene to another) . We saw Freya fall in love, Marcel and Klaus reunite (his love for Marcel) , the Red Door again, Hope scenes and her innocence/pure. *And mending characters is a step towards resolving everything so the series can come to an end without viewers questioning* situation, example PLL). After defeating the Hollow and having one last season, I really see noting else they could do to further stretch out the series.

The Originals is not meant for 13 episodes. It needs a full season. This is why many are disappointed.

Honestly I have no idea what you people complain about. Firstly when the show was supposed to be canelled all of you were crying. This show has the drive lots of show don't have. Action in every single episode. For me this season has showed us a lot - especially the young lady Michaelson and her power. And again the true meaning of ALWAYS AND FREVER. I'm really looking forward to next season, because tis show worths it like nothing. As far as I can say it has beaten TVD like nothing. But yeah - when you expect something diffretn cancel the show, but when the show can really be canceled - boo boo. True fans, really congrats!!

U guys need to chill!!! We're getting another season & if the rumors bout another time jump & a spin off series is true then we need to give it a chance. I agree the season was a little rocky but they had to in order to put more for the next season. And don't go hating on Summer, she's an incredible actress & played Hope very well & if she's not gonna be in the show any more cuz of the time jump thing well yeah I'll miss her but I think that she may somehow knew that due to not say anything bout season 5. And if we're gonna get a teenage Hope we must give that actress a chance like we did for Summer. So instead of complaining just watch it & give it a chance cuz they've made another season cuz of our support & if they're trying to do a spin off then we must do the same. I feel like they will split them up for the finale, but then Hayley will still be with Hope and will raise her.. And her whole life, Hope will fight to defeat the Hollow once and for all, and when she gets the Mikaelsons all back, she will be all grown up and the hero of the day.. Saving them just like they saved her.

i think season 5 will be there last cause they are trying to make a spin off with hope ,with vpd and reign gone i see it happening for mid season 2019

I thought they will be raging in madness after what happened. Klaus lost control when he woke up next to Kami with her blood all over the bed. Season 3 made the family look weak and now Season 4 makes them look even weaker. The originals are supposed to be very strong and fearless and angry not pathetic.

finale ending would be like klaus hope and Hayley will leave and live together maybe in Mystic falls , Freya will leave with keelin , I'm not sure about Rebekah but she will leave anyway and Elijah will Remain in New Orleans and maybe a little twist in marcel Sofya and Elijah ;)

Farewell CW - Vampire Diaries Ended :( - Reign Ended :( :( - and The Originals, well I'll just say it won't bother me to miss any episodes. This entire short season (Thank Goodness it wasn't longer) has been scattered and disjointed. So much jumping around - and suddenly Freya is in love with a woman when she has never shown the slightest interest in sleeping with women before. The only good thing to come out of this season was Davina and Kol are together and gone!

This will be an intesting season finale. For anyone saying they wont watch it if it's not about the originals. The show is called 'The originals' and it will continue to be about the original family and their extended family, that includes Hope and Marcel. I hope there is less Freya next season. I cannot stand her and that werewolf forced romance. There should be more Rebekah and more Kol too. Get rid of Sofia now. This season has been a little dull and this was the only show I could count on as I dropped many shows recently including The Vampire Diaries in season 5.
