@@Tiara-1015 Hope knew why Klaus and the others couldn’t be there. She was mad at Klaus for what happened years ago. When Hope was smaller she did a spell that actually allowed her to see Klaus in person and she came at the wrong time, Klaus was killing someone and took their heart out. She called his name, he turned and saw her and screamed at her, “Get Out!.” He and her would call like she does with her uncles and aunts but after that day he stopped talking to her. Hayley had no idea of what happened between them.

I guess he was a guy that she got close to, Elijah wasn't there, Klaus barely called or responded to their messages. He seemed kind. But she wasn't even dating him in the first place, he was in over his head.
