I mean, Kol did kill Davina at one point so out of everyone, he is probably the only one that understands what he is feeling.

This was so wonderfully played by Daniel, it was like you could feel his heart break when his memories of Hayley came flooding back.

honestly this was some beautiful acting normally reactions to deaths are soo shit and I am so just wowed by that acting you can really see Elijah losing a love someone he cared about deeply ahh.

I think all fans of the show feel this way. I also feel however, that after a thousand years, there had to be an end for this family, but the last season felt really rushed. Like they had a time restraint, and had to push the ending. I feel it could have been just as dramatic with a more positive outcome. It's horrible that Hope's life brought about the families destruction.

“It’s been said so many times, “forever to a vampire, is a long time”... you’re so right. Elijah woulda been a changed man for the rest of his life. But little did we know in just a couple weeks, he’d be dead. His death was the most nonsensical of the entire show. Even Daniel thought so. Worst ending ever. Julie has a thing for killing everyone. No doubt Alaric will be on the chopping block when Legacies comes to an end!!

A lot of the actors and actresses from the CW shows are fantastic and unbelievably talented, but they're overlooked because the CW shows are just seen as melodramatic soap operas for teenagers. It is ridiculous they don't get the credit and respect they've earned.

He had the choice to help her. Hayley looked directly at Elijah and said his name. He KNEW he loved her and although he didn’t have his memories, letting someone you loved in the past get killed just because you don’t remember them is incredibly selfish. Now Hope lost her mother and soon after that her father falls too. (yes I know Elijah dies as well.) He could’ve saved someone from the pain of losing a loved one ESPECIALLY a parent, but no, he chose to stand up for the wrong family. A family he has known for seven years compared to 1000+ years of family and “always and forever”.
