The Originals "BLOODLETTING" (S1E7 REACTION!!!)

There is no love triangle in this show. Thank God. Klaus is incredibly possessive of his siblings and he doesn't like to share their attention with anyone else. This is how he's come to the whole "Hayley is conspiring to turn Elijah against me" thing. He also fears that Elijah would take his place in his child's life if anything happened between Elijah and Hayley. The core of most of Klaus' actions stem from his insecurity, paranoia, and his fear of abandonment.

So this is the point in TVD when Tyler broke up with Caroline and said he was going to go take revenge against Klaus for killing the hybrids and his mom. Remember when Tyler left for New Orleans and said that Klaus ruined him there? Yup! This is it

Currently 3 minutes in and I already knew you would hate this episode but I’m pretty sure you will love the end haha

Hayley and Elijah were obviously wrong in assuming that Klaus knew about being able to sire hybrids with the child, but you can’t really blame them either after everything he’s done and the fact that he always seems to be five steps ahead of everyone all the time.

Ughh again, I just really love the way TO handled bad/toxic traits and unhealthy dynamics and how they held their characters accountable for their actions. Those last scenes with Klaus we can both feel bad that his family is thinking the worst of him when he wasn't even trying to use his baby to make hybrids, but also totally understand that Elijah and Rebekah of all people have every reason to believe that Klaus has ill intent. So as a result, its easy to not side with either of them completely and to just feel torn like wait make up and be badass siblings again pls!! 😭 I LOVE that it doesn't even take real convincing for Elijah to realize he was mistaken, he knows his brother so well that he sees past Klaus' coy ranting and in the middle of it he tries to backtrack. I think he was gonna say "Klaus if I offended you/wrongfully doubted you" and apologize bc he's noting that he was almost being hypocritical for assuming Klaus was using his baby based off his past when Elijah and Rebekah have dark pasts too. Then I love that Hayley chimes in that she's done horrible stuff as well and she doesn't try to excuse that or to pretend like she knows Elijah's the perfect brother. Hayley only specifies that the brothers are different, and Elijah shouldn't be playing a comparison game. She isolates the fact that they misjudged Klaus from the fact that he is still Klaus, and that isn't negated by the fact that she and Elijah have also done horrible things. None of it is mutually exclusive, and she quickly became one of my favorite characters in the TVDU after this episode when originally I despised her in TVD lol.

The Return of Bitchface, honestly I thought he would've worked better on this series than TVD, there was story potential there, his relationship with Klaus and the only remaining hybrid, there was something there that the writers didn't capitalize on

There absolutely is a connection between Elijah and Haley but it’s not necessarily gonna be just like TVD, with the brothers, which was a welcomed change in my opinion

I appreciate the route the show takes in showing the similarities and differences between Klaus and Elijah and not making it seem like Klaus is this absolute evil in the shadow of his morally perfect angel brother. It gets really interesting and complex but like... in a clear way if that makes sense? I just thoroughly enjoyed what it did for each character as it was broken down that the concept of the show would heavily tie to Klaus' narration a few episodes ago when he says he doesn't believe there's a true good or evil, just people doing what best suits them no matter the cost. That's how he feels, and the opposite is how people usually view him and his family (just plain evil or a more solid definition of good (Elijah namely), but I'm excited for you to see how it all gets explored. We're on episode 7 and I'm still geeking about how hyped I am for your TO experience lmfao. This was during the time in TVD season 5 when Tyler and Caroline broke up and he went to New Orleans to get revenge on Klaus. If you remember he was gone for a couple episodes over there. Also in a way you can't blame them for thinking Klaus has other intentions with the baby given his track record.

Also the difference between klaus making hybrid and the baby making hybrids is completely different. When klaus wants to make an hybrid he gives the werewolf his blood and then kills them and when they wake it was established in TVD that they have to drink elena’s blood. And in the baby’s case they give the werewolf her blood and they kill the werewolf and when they wake they have to drink the baby’s blood again. The reason why it is a different process is because Esther after she binds klaus’s werewolf side before he eventually broke it. She also put a curse on him in case he ever broke the spell that keeps him from becoming a werewolf and try’s to turn people to be like him. She cursed him that he needed the a doppelgängers blood to help make hybrids. If she didn’t put that extra curse on him klaus will just give a werewolf his blood, kill them and then when they wake, They drink his blood. But Esther was too smart. The reason it has to be a doppelgänger blood that helps to make hybrids is because the curse was made with a human doppelgängers blood that’s why only a human doppelgänger can help make hybrids not vampire doppelgängers. So if elena had died when klaus broke the binding spell that stops him from becoming a true hybrid he wouldn’t have been able to make more hybrids. The baby doesn’t need a doppelgängers blood to make hybrids because she wasn’t cursed.

When the vampire diaries and the originals were both on air together they played on the same night. So I would watch an episode of the vampire diaries and then there would be an episode of the originals right after that was happening at the same time. So that helped me understand the flow of time really well between the two. It was cool to see something happen in tvd and watch it result in other events in the originals afterward.

It makes me mad a little every time I see Elijah so easily judging Klaus here... Even it that scene, Klaus asked them how it's possible that there was body of hybrid and they still accused him of knowing everything. That's have no sense for me, especially that Klaus didn't want the baby at the beginning and how he supposed to knew about it? Also it don't suit too much Elijah character in my opinion, when he is the one who always pretends to stood by his family, talking so much about giving him a chance and believe in Klaus the most... Yeah, Klaus did a lot terrible things to him and he has every right to not trust in Klaus completely but still Elijah was shown as the one who despite everything believed in him and wanted to stood by his side even after that 1000 years of Klaus bad behavior. So it's just weird for me that suddenly it was so easy for him to believe in what Tyler said.

I won't say how long he's on TO, but after this plotline, Michael Trevino went on a hiatus from TVD/TO. He just really HATED how his character kept getting written.

I don't know if this is classed as a spoiler but it may be so: SPOILER: The Originals were created by their mother to protect them from werewolves. The bite does not kill them but they still get the same symptoms as normal vampires.

This whole Rebekah and Marcel "happily ever after... not buying me. I mean it's sweet that Marcel planned it and I have no doubts that they loved each other back then and there is still so much feelings between them, but just the fact that when they escaped New Orleans after Mikael found them, they left and didn't came back before bc they thought Marcel died. In the other hand he knew that they just run away and are still fine. He didn't reach out to them, didn't tried to find them or just Rebekah to be with her even tho they claimed to love each other so hard and even all this house plans he showed her in this episode. I feel like that's the main reason why I can't ship Marcel with Rebekah, I don't like them together now and why I like Marcel as a character and his bond with Klaus, but I can't forgive him that he just stayed in New Orleans after what happened and it seems he pretty liked his new life without Mikaelsons and didn't miss them.

I still wonder why klaus and hayley never became a thing..maybe bc they were too similar, abandoned and turned away by parents for being different, only wanting family.. he would only see his pain reflected in her eyes, maybe why he could never hurt her too, no matter how she hurts him🤔

this episode started my last favorite dynamic for a while in the show, which was josh and davina! yayyyy lol!

Completely disagree with two things you said Tyler is not the worst that's Elena, she's literally the most useless character, the only things she serves a purpose for is a hole for the Salvatores and her blood. Using his baby to sire more hybrids is a completely reasonable thing to think Klaus would do, he is a complex and interesting character but a monster when it comes to his personality, a very charming damaged monster.

I don't get the hate you have for Tyler out of all the vampire characters he's one of the ones with the least amount of innocent blood on his hands.
