I gotta say as sad as Hayley’s death scene was, these episodes after are even sadder. Seeing everyone’s reactions to her death is so heart wrenching. Especially Klaus’s. I really loved their relationship, and seeing how much her death affects him in not only this episode but the next one is very intense. The scene of Klaus carving her name in the tree and calling her little wolf was so beautiful and heartbreaking. She really touched a lot of people in this show.

Daniel Gillies (Elijah) truly had the chance to shine in this season. His acting always just drives the nail to the coffin. Especially in this episode, the next one, and episode 11. His acting truly is phenomenal and it makes you feel every nook and cranny of the pain and anguish that Elijah is feeling. Not only Daniel, but Josef Morgan as well. Truly they are brilliant and they gave this show that X factor that made it perfect.

This episode is so sad I cant believe they actually killed Hayley, I definitely thought she would be the one to survive especially for Hope. When Klaus said little wolf it was heart breaking.

I was sad for Hayley to die, but this show honestly did her death justice. She wasn't brushed under the rug. You could really feel the ripple effect of the loss and how she affected other characters, particularly Klaus.

one of the saddest and most emotional things about this episode is seeing Elijah reluctant to get his memories back. he doesn't remember, but he knows where this can take him... and all the pain...

Downside to Elijah not remembering Klaus, he had no idea the cruel punishments Klaus could give him.

I think this episode really shows how Klaus and Haley‘s relationship was like Klaus loved Haley in a different way. He loved her because she was the mother of his child and I think this episode shows how sad he really is without Haley

Such devastating episode from start to finish. Hope finding out is such a painful opening. Elijah made a smart offer, appreciate that Klaus wanted to protect Elijah like that. Attacking Haley's funeral was as idiotic as it was cruel. Not surprised Elijah dosnt want to let the memories back in, the pain that must come with it. Really love the bayou funeral, beautiful scene. You can really see Klaus's growth as a character in this season.

You all remember in season 1x7. Elijah is talking to Sabine while she was in the bath tub in a flash back. Sabine said it would take 100 witches to put Klaus in his place.... Now just 1 witch, apparently any witch can drop not just a Original but The Original Hybrid Klaus. Kol with a huge Paragon diamond amplifying his powers, made Klaus bleed a little but Klaus could have easily killed him had he wanted too.

I love this episode so much. As much as I hate how wrong the first funeral went, it makes sense because that's never what Hayley wanted. Hope felt like everything was all wrong with everyone dancing because Hayley specifically said earlier in the show "if I died and someone threw a party I'd be so pissed." The werewolf funeral is her real funeral because that's who she always was at her core, she protected werewolves her whole life, even if she didn't get to die as one.

gosh i was annoyed with everyone this episode - annoyed at hope for her mother's situation; annoyed at klaus for rejecting elijah; annoyed at elijah for being pretend-elijah ... open the door elijah!

I’m using that “your offer is rejected” for any small situation lmao. Although we know Klaus needs Elijah and Elijah will get it when he gets his memory, but it was satisfying to see that rejection, because even if Elijah doesn’t know what he did Klaus does and it’s nice to see the caring he had for Hayley, that he wouldn’t want Elijah back because he killed her. (Although there was also that decision for Elijah) She meant a lot. In her death we see his love. Hope is lowkey annoying like BIATCH YOULL DIE AND HIS LOVE WAS SHOWN BY STAYING AWAY, like I get it but it’s not HIS fault, you can feel that pain but you need to understand why it’s there which will make it easier. Hope refused to understand 🙄

This was a good episode. I have my feelings about the whole season and last episode was horrible, this episode was really good but just really sad. Seeing how sad both Klaus and Hope were was heartbreaking. My favourite moments in the episode was when Klaus said: ur request is rejected! and the other moment is Klaus and Hope saying goodbye to Hayley together. It made me genuinely feel like they were father and daughter. Although i do like the teenage actress for Hope, i think Summer and Joseph had more chemistry but the last scene with them was just so good tho!

When the Vampires attacked the funeral parade in the Vans.... Umm why did Freya do NOTHING to help protect Hope?? or attempt to retaliate against them. Hope at least destroyed a van. We have seen Freya kill vampires by waving her hand... Radicals associated closely to the people who killed Hayley. Now just tried to kill Hope at her moms Funeral. Freya yells and has Josh a baby vampire save Hope. I must be forgetting something! Did Freya become weak? or is this just something that makes no sense. Ivy can take Klaus down apparently.... Yet Freya watches as armed vampires attack and try to shoot her niece.....
