Elijah wasn't only their older brother, he was the person they each looked up to. He protected them and stood by them always and forever, even if it meant sacrificing his own happiness. This is the only reason why he had to erase his memories in season 5; he knew that, despite his better judgement to stay away, he won't be able to stop himself from going back the minute he hears that one of his siblings need him or is in danger. He is a better father than Micheal could ever dream to be and they are very lucky to have him.
The sad and ironic thing is that Elijah had his memories erased BECAUSE of his absolute love devotion and loyalty to his brother. Elijah's sole purpose in over 1000 years has always been Klaus' redemption and to stand by his side through everything always and forever. Klaus said so himself that Elijah has always been the keeper of their bond of always and forever...it is the very core of Elijah's being. He knew his instincts would kick in and he would lay down his life for his brother and interfere to try and protect Klaus if he went off the rails but he knew how important this was to Klaus and his family and for Hope especially when Klaus made him vow not to come after klaus if he found himself in darkness so he made the ultimate sacrifice and had it all taken away to keep his word. Heart-breaking that he lost himself for a while only to remember it all and suffer immense pain at realising the love of his life is gone and he didn't save her. But I'm happy that Hayley waited for him in the afterlife and that they would finally be together. I really hope in Legacies we get a moment of them all watching Hope peacefully, Elijah and Hayley holding hands or linked arms to show they are truly together as they look on at Hope and Klaus by their side feeling proud of his daughter. (The hug Klaus and Elijah share in episode 11 of S5 was SO emotional and so much needed! Klaus really missed and needed his big brother/father figure/best friend and he got him back.) I love how Elijah is almost like their father as well as their big brother, they all went to confide in him in France and needed their big brother's advice. Just goes to show Elijah was the glue holding them together. So beautiful and moving that he and Klaus died together, even in death Elijah could not leave his brother's side.
@@Hop3fulRomantic even as klaus had asked elijah when the time comes to leave him he himself/Klaus goes to visit his big brother in france that is how much he love him!!!! i love their bond!!! i just wished elijah didnt kill hayley because klaus never got the chance to talk to her after so many years!!!! i know he didnt have his memories but he knew hayley and klaus but still chose the other woman!!!
I was smiling when Elijah slammed him into the wall, but the way Mikael just tosses him casually across the fucking room struck fear into me. There's no way Elijah could have stopped him but he tried.
I fuckin love how powerful the michealson's are. Makes the story so much more interesting than The Vampire Diares since Stephan and Damon are vulnerable but yet the michealson's are unstoppable!! Best series ever
That makes absolutely no sense! Them being unstoppable is what makes it more predictable, and less exciting....Which is why I love that Marcel can put them down, whenever he feels. They now know true fear.
Mikael was ruthless but Klaus took Henrik see werewolves turn and came home with dead Henrik. Second dead child he couldn't take. But then again married a witch and slaughter her family long before vampire were even born. So yup good writing.
Well... imagine you and your family get slaughtered over a tantrum of a patty college vampire girl who did not get the dress she wanted for prom night... still awesome?
Jesus. The way Michael just threw Elijah across the room without effort fucking shows how god dam powerful and stronger he is compared to the other originals. jesus
i know he's stronger than an average vampire, am just saying elijah and his family are original vampires, which means they are not average vampires. They too are also stronger than average vampires.
Ppl who are judging micheal need to understand becoming a vampire amplifies who you are at youre core he was A: a warrior B: a viking who's customs were rooted in battle and in name ... he never had a choice in how he saw the world or how Esters manipulation would impact him, while yes he should have softened himself during the battle against Dahlia for freya they show you he admires Klaus's ruthlessness in battle yet can not understand how his approach to raising klaus might have impacted him negatively
At least he's no where at crazy as Kai yes he probably killed more people and that's horrible it's the way he acts u can tell he's not a soseopath (Kai) or Valentine
I swear it on my life, I never ever saw such an epic crossover of two shows that finally and ultimately connected the dots for the plot to come to a conclusion. The way this single season of The Originals is written is tremendously amazing ! The crossover of Mikael and Niklaus is the most epic thing that I could've asked for after I saw them in The Vampire Diaries... So this is what exactly happened back in 1919 in new Orleans when Niklaus and his siblings ran off when Michael arrived to end them😮 the similar plot was shown in TVD when stefan was held captive by Niklaus and when they showed the flashback of 1919.
What’s funny about Mikael threatening Elijah with the old White oak Stake is, if he did kill him. The Stake would’ve been burned up, and he wouldn’t have anything to kill Klaus with.
@@sadhana4578 I'm one year late to replying but there are two movies. One based on the original pride and prejudice written by the author Jane Austen and the second one is called Bride and Prejudice which released in the 2000s.
Mikale is way stronger than Elijah, it took all of Elijah's strength to stop him from streaking him with the white oak steak. While Mikale was not even trying at all.
@@thegreatevil1642 Mikael is the upgraded one...... hence why Ester said "I will make Alaric like Mikael". That's the reason he's stronger otherwise all of the originals would be equal in strength. They all turned at the same time.
Vampire Mikael is actually younger than his sons and daughters and yet he's more experienced in hand-to-hand combat than even Elijah who can best Klaus.
Eternal Sentry they were all turned around the same time, the reason he is stronger then any of his children (minus Klaus when he has access to his hybrid nature) is because he was a fully trained, fully grown battle hardened Viking warrior before he was turned which carried over to his vampire life.
Hand to hand combat maybe, but Klaus was always the most skilled with swords, he could best both Elijah and Mikael even as humans. Mikael however wins with physical strength and combat ability I suppose. If you'd give both a sword Klaus would probably have an easier time fighting him. He also always bested Elijah hand to hand too in the modern day. Since he has the advantage of his werewolf side and all, he can fight with anger. The angrier he is, the stronger he becomes. That was shown when he killed Gia and Elijah lost it and fought him with anger. Klaus put him down faster than any other time as Elijah is not used to fighting with rage, meanwhile Klaus was royally pissed around that time from the whole daggering and Hayley trying to take Hope bit.
I mean he took Michael down with that blade and in that warehouse when he and Michael fight he won the fight but got distracted saving Cami Klaus is stronger though
@@emptysoul2757 nah also his way of morality and nobility. In TVD, he followed a code which made others respect him. He was the nicer original than the rest. In TO, oh boy. He ditched his code of conduct and became a extreme reckless and aggressive vampire. Klaus became an Elijah progressed through season 3 to season 5. Twist to the entire show, they switched
If anyone is wondering about the power scale in the tvdu look no further than this comment as I am about to explain the power scale of each race and and how fights truly went down the way they did. Let's start with the most basic-vampires: Non original vampires - Vampires posses the most advanced kind of superhuman strength and speed(as well as general powers but for this I'm simply referring to physical abilities and shown fights) mainly because in addition to they're already extreme strength compared to humans upon completion of they're transition a vampires physical abilities grow proportionately with they're years of life at an unknown rate so vampires of greater age are shown to be stronger than all ( normal ) younger vampires and most supernatural creatures in general. Vampires can easily break bones, overpower or lift humans with 1 arm tear apart bodies and even rip out hearts as send humans and other supernatural beings flying by showing or throwing them. While a vampires strength is mostly dependent on they're age it also depends on they're diet and emotions. Vampires who drink human blood are much stronger than those that consume animal blood. It has also been shown that if angry or otherwise emotional enough vampires can temporarily gain centuries worth of bonus physical strength and younger vampires can overpower older ones in these cases as shown when Caroline was able to shortly overpower Damon to protect her dad or when Marcel was able to push Elijah's arm of his shortly in order to protect Davina. This in turn means that vampires are at they're weakest phase when they're humanity is turned off. A vampires strength is also busted by the amount of human strength someone had before they turn though it is unknown if vampires can gain extra strength from exercises upon turning. Original vampires - Originals are the most powerful kind of vampires in the world and as such are generally considered the physically strongest in they're race mainly because being the first vampires of all time they're strength has grown the most with time though they are possibly also slightly stronger from the start in comparison to normal baby vampires. Each original vampire has different levels of strength which mostly depends on the amount of time they spent undaggered. Originals do not grow in strength while daggered by a white oak ash weapon as demonstrated by Klaus and Elijah's superiority to they're siblings as well as Kol's physical inferiority to non original vampires as old as Lucien. Elijah being the only one who has spent over 1000 years awake is shown to be strongest vampire in the world while in the absence of his father and modified originals and such Elijah is much stronger than all non-original vampires. Elijah has even demonstrated his sheer strength in comparison to a 500 year old vampire named Trevor when he decapitated him with a swing of his bare hand. Originals can generally overpower non-original vampires and even turned warewolf's with ease. Mikeal Mikealson - Mikeal the destroyer or more commonly known as the vampire who hunts vampires or the original vampire hunter has demonstrated and extreme amount of physical strength even compared to other originals. It is unknown how Mikeal posseses such superiority in strength though it could be attributed to him being the father of the originals, the first ever vampire and having already an extremely high degree of normal human strength before turning or his diet of vampire blood which has unknown effects on a vampire. Mikeal has been shown able to easily overpower all his children including the original hybrid Klaus. Mikeal was able to easily defeat Elijah on 2 occasions even while weakened by warewolf venom from an earlier fight and has been shown to do the exact same against Klaus though with more difficulty and later even while being further weakened by Papa Tsunde's blade was still able to overpower Klaus with only minor effort. Mikeal was also able to slaughter an entire bar of warewolf's armed with moonlight amulets with ease. Mikeal's only disadvantage against Klaus appeared to be his slightly lower speed which did not pose a big issue during most of they're fights. Enhanced original vampires - Alaric J Saltzman was the first and only enhanced original ever created. Alaric was modified to be able to kill all the originals and as such appeared to be stronger than most if not all of them as he was easily able to defeat both Rebekah and Caroline in a fight clearly demonstrating greater strength than Rebekah and was shown to even be comperable to Klaus as he was able to fight Klaus to a standstill when they grappled over the white oak stake. He was also shown able to easily defeat Stefan and Damon in seconds both of whom have been vampires for around 150 years at that point in time. It is unknown how strong enhanced originals are compared to Mikeal and Upgraded originals but Alaric appeared to be inferior to both as he had far more physical difficulty against Klaus though this could be attributed to an unfinished fight. Upgraded original vampires - Upgraded originals are a modified version of vampires specifically designed by high levels of magic to be superior to all other types of originals as such in addition to they're strength while they were normal vampires they gain the bonus strength of a full powered original vampire upon turning and as such Lucien Castle had the strength and speed of roughly a 2000+ year old vampire and and Marcel that of a 1180+ year old. Lucien was shown to be able to easily defeat Elijah and Finn in a 2v1 fight as well as Klaus later on and has also shown incomperably greater speed than any other charecter in the series as he was able to easily out speed and dodje attacks from the original hybrid. After Lucien's death Marcel became the second and last upgraded original vampire in the series and although still able to fight originals was seemingly inferior to Lucien as Marcel struggled a lot more in his fights against Klaus. Augustine vampires: Augustine vampires are those who have been infected by the ripper virus in order to feed on they're own kind and as such are modified to be much stronger than normal vampires they're own age. Jesse a new turned Augustine vampire was able to easily overpower Damon who is over 150 years older than him and nearly bit his head off with minimal effort. It is unknown if Augustine vampires are as strong as they are due to engineering or they're diet of vampire blood though both could be attributed. Warewolfs - warewolfs in human form are stronger than humans but vastly weaker than even baby vampires. However warewolf's in wolf form are shown to be stronger than most normal vampires and could even take down an original in small groups though they appeared to be inferior in speed to vampires who are 200 years old or above. Evolved warewolf's - as they're name suggests they are an evolved version of a normal warewolf created through the fusion of 2 or more different packs in order to share they're abilities. It is unknown how to compare them to other supernatural creatures but they appeared to have they're full power even in human form as they were able to even fight Klaus in large groups though this could be attributed to Klaus not wanting to kill them. Hybrids - hybrids posses an extreme amount of physical strength being a combination of both warewolf and vampire they posses a head start against vampires due to they're warewolf heritage and as such are stronger than most younger vampires and all warewolf's in human form. Hyrbrids however do not posses the full power of they're transformation while in human form as demonstrated by the fact that vampire who are 140+ are much stronger than them. This was shown when Damon was easily able to defeat Tyler in a 1v1 that seemed to just be a contest of strength and it has also been shown that both Stefan and Damon could easily slaughter entire packs of hybrids. Nikalus Mikealson - Klaus being the original hyrbid is stronger than almost all other supernatural creatures including most original vampires. This show of incredibly high strength has been demonstrated only by Klaus. He manhandled Marcel's entire vampire army with brute strength alone he also slaughtered 12 non original warewolf-vampire hybrids with ease. Klaus being a 1000 year old hyrbid posses the strength and speed of his brother Elijah and the bonus strength and speed of a warewolf in human form as he's shown to be just barely able to overpower Elijah in pure strength and out speed Mikeal in they're fights. While no match for Lucein Klaus was later seemingly able to defeat in Marcel in a 1v1 fight with only mid level difficulty and always made him struggle when they had a contest of strength though this could be attributed to reluctance to fight on Marcel's part.
Only thing that doesn't make sense is that in a fight between Tyler and I believe rose, he over powered her and said "young hybrids are stronger than old vampires" anybody else remember that? So no I think Hybrids are stronger than most vampires
@@AZ-iu5fe First of all Tyler never fought Rose. He fought Nadia who had been a vampire for almost 500 years. However he did not overpower her. Tyler caught her off guard, pinned her with the upper hand and bit her which temporarily weakened her but even then she still easily overpowered him and he litteraly screamed in pain from a simple head butt. Hybrids are weaker than 100+ year old vampires.
@@AZ-iu5fe Depends on what you mean by old vampires. If it's not Klaus or a hybrid with a ceremony granting them great power like Hayley had after her wedding with Jackson or if it's not a full moon all hybrids are weaker than 100+ year old vampires.
Elijah loved Klaus more than everithing . He loved him like a brother but also like a son because he say to Klaus that he knew the love Klaus has about Hope. Klaus was his raison of living, his goal, his guilty. He loved Hayley so much but honnestly even if she lived he would still die by his side.
@@kingkayfabe5358 Indeed and Against a Mikael who was bitten by half a dozen wolves Enough venom to knockout 3 originals And Mikael not only kills all the wolves, beats Elijah and almost beats klaus Losing only cause he thought klaus was unarmed And he STILL removed the tunde blade with the Wolf venom in his system No original, ordinary or enhanced or upgraded ever even came close to that
@@Tonycillian5 that’s just here, and it’s only cause he has a burning desire to make Rebekah suffer. Every other time, he’s very happy to be in her presence, in a way he’s not for anyone else
Yeah kinda weird since your not supposed to make romantic relationships with your clients in psychiatry because they are already forming a trauma bond with u toxic ass relationship
Elijah looked absolutely disgusted by what Mikael was saying about his brother. Also the way Elijah emphasises on the word 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 just shows how deep his loyalty & love is for his younger brother.
cool stuff 306 haha true but I doubt Klaus just had their bodies laying anywhere. I’m sure he hid them from Mikael so he couldn’t kill them while they were asleep.
You know this is the reason I love this show it doesn't tell you everything, but it gives enough subtext for you to come to your own conclusions. To me Mikael was the first vampire to turn the humanity switch off. Klaus killed his wife and told his family he did it. If you watch him throughout the series and compare him to the other characters when they shut off their humanity, they act very similarly. Except no one knew that Mikael did this. Just watch this scene, Mikael's reasoning for not killing Elijah isn't love but pride to have a warrior son. You'll notice after he comes back to life that's when the intense anger shows up. Watch how unemotional he is in Vampire Diaries compared to when he comes back in The Originals. Compare him when he was a human, a witch told him she wouldn't help him and he accepted it. Compare that to him burning down entire cities just to catch Klaus and you can tell he turned off his humanity.
I think it was Rose who said that as vampires get older, they lose the ability to turn it off. Originals can't at all. Why do you think the originals or any of the ancient vampires never turned it off?@@captainkirk265
Klaus asked Stefan something like " don't young vampires with their humanity off often over indulge in feeding? Or were you the exception?" In the episode "Because the Night". That made him sound like he had no idea about how turning off humanity worked or felt@@captainkirk265
We who watch this series and make different comments should look and see the the writer and director is showing one thing to us which is FAMILIES MUST HAVE A BOND WHICH CAN'T BE SHAKEN OR BROKEN BY NOTHING AND NOBODY.
Also like The Vampire Diaries doesn’t happen none of it Elena would’ve lived a perfectly normal life because literally Klaus entire sireline would’ve been destroyed no Marcel no Lucian No Damon no Stefan no Catherine like jeez
I know that Elijah should've stayed alive to be there for Hope but honestly, I don't think there's a better way for Elijah's life to end than to be by his brother's side 😢😢😢😢
Cami: “What is that?!” Klaus: “A White Oak stake. My own version.” Um, not really Klaus. Your witch mother made it by imbuing the invincibility of the Gilbert ring to a regular White Oak stake with her magic. None of that involves you.
SMBComix I love Klaus but he should give credit where it‘s due. His mother created that White Oak stake and Alaric killed him with it. He shouldn’t be so fond of it as to claim as his own when it can destroy him and his siblings.
Dameceo Springs at this point no he didn’t have access to his hybrid nature so he was only as strong as his siblings (who were weaker then Mikael) and he was afraid of him.
Actually one of news article I read that Klaus's can access his full hybrid powers after Turning into Werewolf..... But The originals people don't have Budget for that....so they never showed his Warewolfs transformation! And yeah klaus was more powerful... Than Alaric as well But don't forget about bloody white stake (it doesn't matter who's powerful)! U can clearly see that whenever klaus fight with Mikael Klaus always gets emotional... He has suffered a lot because of Mikael's Abusememt and torture! ... U can see any kid who get bullied by soemone throughout his life then it's obvious that he'll fear you.... And also Mikael was warrior that's why He had very good fighting skills... And instead klaus was interested in arts and music and Esther had given Klaus necklace to make him weak!... So Klaus was weak all the time next to Mikael
@@clarkkent4565 No he wouldn't. White if a white oak stake is used on an original it burns their bodies the stake with it. Klaus used the Stake Mikael had in the video and it did exactly that. Same thing happened to Fin. Then Esther had another white oak stake and used the Gilbert ring (that bring people back from the dead if they are killed by a Supernatural they come back) to make the white oak stake Klaus just had indestructible. Till Daliah destroyed it of course
Ghost 627 no really because I just remembered back when Alaric enhance original for example stack klaus when he was in the coffin back in tvd season 3 final he pulled the stack out of klaus heart and the white oak was still there in Alaric hand my guess is that if you leave the white in there body when it's on fire the white oak goes with it but I could be wrong Alaric probably had a different white oak stack than the one mikeal in this scene.
So if Michael was stringer than an original like Elijah and even Klaus, is he stronger or evenly matched with Marcel after he took that thing that made him even stronger than an original? Michael was already stronger to his sons anyway
Mikael wouldn’t win against beast marcel but mikael would put up a very very very very good fight!!!. But if mikael has the dagger that can kill marcel then mikael would win
He’s a beast, he’s a legend He’s a abomination, he’s a living weapon He’s not my blood, you wished he was Mikael is a jealous, evil vindictive old man, ur woman cheats on u with a werewolf and u take the anger out on her offspring. Klaus didn’t want u to do anything but loved him. And instead u Resent him cuz of what he was born into, he never ask to be born with the werewolf Jean, he never ask to be forced into a vampire, Klaus will forever be known as a legend.
I mean people always say that that original family was on the run because Mikael was after them ,but mickeal wasn't after all of them he was after only Klaus ,he wanted to kill Klaus only and for that he had a perfect reason ,if you clearly see the story you will understand that Klaus is real monster ,he killed his mother and told his siblings that mickeal killed their mother and he will kill all of them ,but that not mikeal never wanted kill his children ,he loved his children ,he wanted kill Klaus because he killed his love Esther and drove his sons and daughter away from him by telling them lie, I mean if mikeal wanted kill Klaus he could have killed him the moment he know that he is werewolf but he didn't... Klaus told the lie to his siblings and destroy their thousand year life ,and lived his own life
well mikael abused him bound his wolf side killed his real father who he didnt even have a chance to know. and all this while esther supported mikael in it. she should not have bound his wolf side. what evil had he done? klaus did right killing her. he finally stood up for himself
Michael is so much stronger then Elijah it is a mountain and Elijah can stand a fight some what best Klaus. Michael is that one of the first that can best them. Six first Originals that beats the rest.
One thing I find interesting about Mikael is that as an upperclass Norseman he most likely had other women in his life outside of Esther. I know that the writers of TO didn’t always consider historical accuracy in this show. in norse society a man that didn't/couldn't satisfy his wife didn't have a right to be mad at her infidelty. at the time of esthers affair Mikael was neglecting his entire family die to him believing Freya was dead. sorry aboit my rabbit hole comment lol😂
Mikael is the oldest if we count human years and apparently they count, aswell as mikael was more enchanted as a vampire then the others, luckily Klaus has his werewolf gene so its rather close. Mikael have the mental advantaged over klaus because they fear him. kinda sad that both times klaus fought him he won the fight by element of surprize twice. Mikael seemed to have the pure strengt advantaged tho when they fought.
4sure he has a warrior spirit :) also he's tollerance for pain is rly high, like Enzo if you've seen TVD. That's why he didnt get unconscious, when he got stabbed by papa Tunde's blade.
Charlie Corke Mikael was a fully trained Viking warrior before he turned that’s why he was stronger then his children (excluding Klaus’s hybrid nature)
Everyone loved klaus except for his father, yet he pissed off everyone of his siblings by stabbing them. Thats why kol and Rebekah want to free of him.
Banana Joe Esther used a different spell to make mikael like she did with Alaric. So if you put The stronger vampire version of Alaric against mikael. Mikael would still win because mikael was a trained Viking (PLEASE CORRECT ME ABOUT SOMETHING IF IM WRONG
@@thegreatevil1642 That doesn't matter in the slighest..... Ester made Mikael stronger so he could control the kids...... Fin would be the strongest yet he gets beat by everyone even before Klaus got his hybrid side.
I never understood why Mikael is way stronger than them i mean yes he drinks vampires blood but why does it make such a huge different and okay he is stronger than them but Klaus? The hybrid? I believe the producers could have make this way logical
I’m not sure either, I use to think it’s cause he was already stronger than klaus physically when they were human and it just added to his vampire strength. Now I have no clue but man is he a mega powerful vampire
And I think that TO writers were having weed while writing the things 😂...cause many times they have shown even Elijah gives much tough fight to klaus!... And even Tyler too 😂😂... I don't know what the hell they wanted to do with my klaus 😏
I’m pretty sure Mikael is an enhanced original. Add to that his kids were just teenagers compared to his daddy strength when they transformed. Not to mention him being a Viking warrior being enhanced. You saw how easily he handled multiple werewolf bites and him pulling out Papa Tunde’s blade from his chest.
Because he was actually turned before them but not long. Plus since he was a Viking he was in great shape. Plus could take a lot of pain and suffering. The reason he's stronger is because he's older in human and Vampire years. Plus he doesn't fully rely on his strength but the siblings do.
@@arianparker1150 no nik has been stronger than everyone in the family even elijah mikael only beats him because he well is stronger than nik in strength
@@Yxsukawa_A first generation Original Mikael was stronger that's why Klaus couldn't beat him without a weapon/help. He never beat Mikael along or without a weapon that could hurt him. Yes Mikael had White Oak, but Klaus was not stronger or faster or more durable. Mikael was on another level even after Klaus unlocked his Werewolf side. Mikael showed his dominance over and over. Three originals couldn't move and/or stop Mikael when he destroyed New Orleans. Klaus has never beat two or more of his siblings. Mikael has done that. Klaus as a hybrid was still losing to Mikael. After The Papa Tunda Blade he was weak and it still was help needed for them to beat Mikael. There was Davina, Witch Kol( Witch Kol is very skilled in magic), Marcel still a normal Vampire tho, and Hayley a hybrid. Yet again a weaker version of Mikael after the effects of Papa Tunda's magic.
We don't know if Marcels venom can kill him we've never actually seen him get bitten or having the venom inside him. But i don't believe that it will kill him seeing as hybrids aren't affected by any werewolf venom.
Klaus john12 than the venom should be able to kill marcel to because remember Lucian used the exact same spell as Esther to make the serum hence why he needed white oak to finish it. The serum might make you better than an original but you still have the same weaknesses as them so the venom should kill marcel to if it has white oak in it but it can't because it doesn't.
