Im rooting for the Skaven because our disgusting self absorbed hypocrital petulant distant cousins the pathetic Aeldar can go fornicate themselves upon She Who Thrists phalice for all I care.
They managed to blow up one of the moons of the Warhamner world, kill Slaanesh, and force the Empire's officials to pretend that ratmen do not exist despite them outnumbering every mortal race and the dwarves being very upfront about their existence.
The Skaven pretty much were the end times, they destroyed a moon, wiping out the lizardmen that stayed on the planet, then they wiped out Cathay and Nippon, and defeated the Dwarves, Tilea, Estalia and the Border Princes. Chaos struggled to defeat the Empire, and the Elves.
It’s probably a good thing that the Skaven don’t exist in 40k because it would be as bad Ork… but with more numbers and more dangerous weapons. I mean, having them as a personal army would be nice since I could just keep throwing them till I win a fight
@@Spartan135 Well in a general sense yes but I more mean what they represent in their genres. The Skaven represent the Giant Rat trope seen in Fantasy with their tech representing DieselPunk, the opposite of SteamPunk which is used by the Dwarves. While the Tyranids represent the generic space bug seen in Sci-Fi with their "tech" being BioPunk which is one of the forms of Punk missing from the Imperium. You can do this with any Warhammer faction and find there analog.
The Templin institute did a video on Kavzar and its fall too. Also quite chilling. I think they kept slightly better mystery about when the bell called forth from its corrupting perch atop the desecrated temple. They didn't go into the full detail of the mounted doom from the clouds though. 6:33 That is a Halfling. A far as I know, the city was overall actually happy and successful. After all, the greater bounty, the deeper the tragedy. Ah, but this was an ancient time of peace, before the Skaven thwarted Nagash the irksome even. Though that's not an excuse for not realizing the time to flee was present if not passing. Though it is possible that the rains blocked escape. This kind of mud and flooding could have ground travel to a dead stop. Though if the bell kept ringing, I'd say dying on the roads may be better than staying to see what else happens. When even the ruinous powers and their dread nobles do not hear your call.... I'm wanting to show the Skaven they aren't the biggest baddest or most toxic out there while thinning their numbers. Saryns Prime could do a number on them. Even with toxins and viruses. Resistance isn't immunity after all. And that's before weapons. Yeah, once the tide of rats was happening, I doubt flight was an option. Would Brtiannia really elicit much more sympathy than the Dark Elves? The scariest thing for me is that for a ravening horde, they have made terrifying technological gains rivaled only by the finest machines of man and the lost might of the Dwarves. Miniguns, snipers, artillery, even nukes of warp stone. With just bit a little more widespread organization, they could rule their world. Standardized guns and knives en masse when emerging, and suddenly.... Hey, you're not the only repository for useless knowledge. See my memories of GI Joe Sigma 6 and Transformers Cybertron for evidence of that. Though those were my gateways to anime, so not entirely a loss.
Btw Just thought I'd say as a skaven player, The green "liquid" isint what you think it is. Its warpfire It burns way hotter than normal fire and cant be put out.
The denial and covering of the existance of the Skaven makes them even more interesting! "Everyone was happy" always ends well. Always great seeing some more Fantasy reactions 👍
Yo dude, I've got THREE recommendations from Thorgi's Arcade for ya!: 1. Who are the best fighting game monsters 2. Bloody Roar Fighting Game Retrospective 3. Tekken X Street Fighter Build the Roster
If you like this, you should check out their "Into the Realm of Chaos" series, where they explore the lore, armies, worshipers, and domains of the four chaos gods. The narrator for that one is really good at explaining it and keeping you engaged.
old warhammer fantasy lore catches you heavily - just by showing the influence on daily life EDIT: yes these are miniatures, games day displays probably
