We heard a few reports of the Osight not holding zero, so we had to figure out what was happening with these customers' setups. We have tested the Osight with tens of thousands of rounds without issues, so let's see how we can help!
We are grateful to these two awesome customers for allowing us to visit, which has helped us greatly with future development!
The Osight package now includes different screw sizes. For better security, you can apply a blue Loctite thread locker to the screws and tighten each one to 17 inch-pounds.
*Please follow the manufacturer's installation instructions if your firearm requires an adapter plate.

I really like how Olight stands behind its products, and I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with their customer service the few times I’ve needed to contact them.

I've never had to interact with their customer service, which is a testament to their product quality, but it's encouraging to see how good they actually are.

99% of the time it’s going to be the plate to gun or optic to plate mount. It looks like Olight has designed it well. I bought two and haven’t had issues. Witness mark the screws for a visual.

I like Olight, I do, and recommend them without a thought, but this video rubbed me wrong, it felt like customer blaming. If the issue was that simple then surely the same problem should be repeating with other sights correct? But it seems to be isolated. You want the customers to loctite and torque to exactly 17 inch pounds? OK, then include blue loctite and a properly calibrated torque wrench. Other manufacturers do not seem to have that issue. I can mount a Holosun for example with nothing but the included allen wrench and just torque it until I can’t turn it anymore and there are no issues. Why can’t the Osight do that?

That's what I was thinking. There are lots of RU-vid reviewers I have seen that have never had a problem with all these other sights but do with the osight. Could maybe understand if it was only people who have never mounted a sight before.

Olight’s does have amazing well made products and amazing customer service, no other manufacturer would meet up with a customer and solve their problems, good job olight

I'm glad Olight came out to investigate. It angers me that it was user error each time. As an enthusiast one should know how to properly mount and diagnosis issues such as improper mounting or loose screws

Mine hasnt lost zero - but I am concerned that since my optics cut slide has rear irons I cant fit the charging hood on it so when the battery finally gets too low I will have to remove it from the slide to charge, then re-mount it. Will have to wait and see how well it holds zero after being physically removed and replaced.

Although it's not an ideal solution I have seen multiple people just cut away a little bit of the plastic on the hood so that it does fit over iron sights that sit that closely. Just trying to give you an option. 1 guy just used his pocket knife and it didn't even turn out that badly and another used his Dremel. There aren't any wires or anything at least on the back side. There shouldn't be any on the front side either but I haven't actually seen anyone cut away from the front of the hood.

So you created a video to blame the sights not holding zero on the sight moving on the mount. #1 the screws are there to keep it from falling off not hold it from sliding. That is the job of the pins. So if its sliding around on the mount; thats what yall need to address. #2 that doesn't address any elevation variations seen on multiple reviews. This seems more like a propaganda video than what you are basically saying is an instruction manual. I dont personally own one only because of the poor design causing a reflection of the emitter and base in the glass. I look forward to the 2nd generation where stuff like this are addressed.

Well, at the moment I'm not completely sold on olight either since i have had a few issues with a lazer n light and also with a flashlight . So I'm siding with Tim right now.

Oh well, it’s downhill from here. You better get that enclosed emitter and fix the issue and get rid of this disgusting ugly style of an Olight site. The mailbox shape is the way to go like the Aimpoint ACRO

I’m sorry…but olight is airsoft teir stuff. I’ve bought a few things from them and they didn’t last longer than 6 months. Even if they will replace it I’m not gonna buy something that I gotta replace every few months. STOP scamming people with trash tier equipment. Put your money into making a few good products that work, instead of new hot garbage every month 🤷‍♂️

You’re full of it! I’ve been using a large variety of Olight products for more than 5 years and have had just a few issues. Most products seeing moderate to heavy use as a Police Officer/SWAT Operator..

I can't speak about their optics but I have a S2R Baton II that's been going strong with continued use for well over 5 years as well as other EDC lights and weapon mounted lights and I've never had a problem with any of them. Olight are trying to cover the more affordable product market and I'm sure the vast majority of their customers are very satisfied with their products. If you're not then why not just choose another, more expensive company to buy your products from?
