Is this the reason why I'm dying with thinking and dealing with my thoughts?.....I don't have a good heart and I have an evil soul...I can't see myself happy......I think I'm not a Filipino.
I bet you, If this guy writes a book about his experience living in slums in the Philippines, he can sell the books and help more people in the world. Thanks Vanessa and Fernando for sharing this story. God bless.
"Being grateful is the key to happiness." What you said is absolutely true. We Filipinos are grateful people even for a single grain of rice and still smiles. Posted from Los Angeles, California
Got teary-eyes here. Filipinos are really hospitable, very welcoming to anyone. I cried when this foreigner gave money to the girl. He felt the needs of those unfornate people and it's great to see giving back the kindness he experienced from those strangers. Spread love and kindness always. Be blessed!
I am from the province of Benguet... The safest province in the country. Lots of us had really had that difficult childhood but no one among us had slept on the roads... At least.. the Igorots (we... people in the Cordilleras ... my neighborhood) have our own huts or small houses. We don't beg on the streets. We work on our farms ... Our parents would work from dawn to dusk... Hot or cold...
Filipino hospitality is very real. We are very welcoming. Just don't abuse it. Learn to appreciate and experience the culture. Do not cross the line. Be respectful always and we will respect you triple times.
Its just makes me emotional.. seeing and learning how Filipino people share and being kind even its the only thing that they got.. maybe we are blessed to have this unique culture and ability to share and selflessly love just like what Jesus thought to be.. always be grateful and kind like a good samaritan. May God bless us all..
Singh, thank you sir: Fernan and maam vaniz. For sharing this story. That kid is really genius. He came in the Philippines as missionary, he spend his money wisely. He has a big heart a compassionate heart. God will Bless him more. I will pray for you kid to continue what you are doing. God Bless you. And sir:Fernan and maam Vaniz as well.🙏🙏🙏
We filipinos loves who appreciates what we did even were poor. We give love and care to those who needs, we give what we have through simple sharing. Thankyou for featuring the beauty of our country. To HAPPY REACTIONS and especially to MARSHALL HODGE "MABUHAY"💕 #ProudToBeFilipino💯

As I was watching this I literally had tears in my eyes not for sadness but for sure appreciation for life and not that some places in the world does a person receive unconditional love and hospitality but doesn't expect anything in return but mutual respect!😘😍 my original Heritage is from Finland my ancestors and extended family is still living there!
The family shown what Filipino bonding means... touch it, feel it, and then cherish it. We are always welcome visitors with great hospitality. Thank you for choosing us.
I lived in the philippines in my entire whole life. The life their is so hard at that time but still hold on to it. Honestly, vannesa and fernando..id love to watch your video reactions and you guys are amazing. Poverty in ph could not stops us from showing our kindness to those who are in needs. I becme emotional when he gave money to the girl. But im happy watching this seeing the kindness of my fellow Filipinos to a foreigner. If those young boys are really living on the street we do have DSWD (department of social welfare and development) who takes care that kind of kids and those very unfortunate poeple. Danke.
Thank you guys. Especially Marshall for being braved. If you show your concern and love even in a less fortunate people in the Philippines, for sure we Filipinos we will returning it to you twice or more...
Love you guys!!! You two are awesome!!! I'm a Filipino and the real face of Philippines is so awesome! Thank you for loving our country... kudos to you two!! Stay awesome and stay safe...
I had the honor of working with an amazing chef in S.F., every year he'd take 6-8 weeks off, and travel around the world, his favorite was the far east, what was really cool was, he'd stay away from the tourist traps, and explore the interior, he'd find some remote village, ask who's the best cook in town, and offer to pay them, if he could stay with them and teach him how to cook real food, very cool.
This is how we filipinos treat visitors....... part of filipino tradition.... hospitality always there.... even not enough money for everyday life.. they find ways to give him the best he ever forget the rest of his life...... luvu both guys from 🇨🇦
The video made me cry and your reaction towards his video also made me cry. Honestly, i always complain about work etc but after watching your reaction video, it slapped me and made me realize that I am still blessed. I never regret subscribing to your channel. Love lots from Manila! 💗
weslou caballa awww thank you so mich for the support ❤️❤️ sending all the love to you!! And yes that is soooo right... i also catch myself sometimes complaining about “dumb” things... let’s be grateful with everything we have. And than more comes😃❤️
Great videos to wacth...what a wonderful American guy, very adventous with Genuine heart ,GOD BLESS him cuz his sooo Brave & humble man....Mabuhayyyyy ka ..
Honestly, as a Filipino myself, I cannot attest to the so-called "generosity" and "hospitality" of my fellow Filipinos. The thing is, locals are nice and welcoming almost exclusively to foreigners. They are very welcoming to those who visit our country but not to their own kin. I've seen street children or beggars asking for food in a restaurant and they will always drive them all away because for them they will bring bad luck. But for foreigners, they will even give free food? how is it that we love foreigners more than we love our own kind?
Im a filipino like u.. I give food to beggars specially to kids & old people.. Honestly, But i felt bad coz that's all i could give..wish i could give more If you can't actually see those who give our fellow filipino, maybe because ur not 24/7 in the street.. The problem is.. U just saw those fucking rich or feeling rich fellow filipino who can't give and even treat them bad.. But not all like them..
@@joydemol7521 I share you're feeling bad for not being able to give more. However, the fact that you give out of love and compassion is more than enough. Even though we don't have enough resources like money, clothes, food, etc. to give to the needy what we can give is already sufficient to those who receive it especially when they suffer from want. The although these may not kind and comforting words we give to others may cheer up a broken heart.
Maybe because some of us still suffer from colonial mentality so we seem to adore the foreigners, more so, if they're white. As you said, some of us welcome foreigners esp. the white, and give them nourishment, something that we don't offer/give to our fellow Filipinos. Pero depende siguro sa ating pagkatao. I believe that genuine giving to and/or care for others isn't discriminating. BTW, charity begins at home , doesn't it? Thus, even before we take care of others, we have to take care of our own first. Otherwise our charity is fake, a show-off, or a means to impress others.
I am overwhelmed how much u appreciate and amazed our country which sometimes we can’t see from our own eyes. Hopefully we get to be more grateful as much as u do. Thank u so much for loving our country.
Amazing American guy... he had 4 amazing unexpected days of normal Filipino life ...the most unforgettable experience he will ever remember his entire life..God bless .....Stay Safe 🙏🙏🙏
Teary eyes for this video, thank you guys for loving our people. I've been your subscriber for a while now. We live in Canada but you guys have more than 10 million of us all over the world, Thank you and keep up the good works...
"Once you are grateful with anything you have, it doesn't matter with whatever you have, you're gonna be happy." - Vanessa aweeee I guess everybody should hear this. I love both of you please keep on reacting ILOVEYOU both! ❤
One of the genuine people I've seen here in RU-vid . Filipinos mostly spend their time watching here and that makes other vloggers to make Filipinos as their target audiences . But I've watched almost all of your videos and I wanna thank you for loving our culture , our nation . ♥️❣️
huwaw !!! and marshall hogde on the house, 😄😄 i love all of his video, im one of his subscriber, i love he's concept . he's showing the different side of the world, and he's brave enough to travel on a far away lands when he doesnt know what will happen to him 😅😅
Marshall, I admire you for being honest and down to earth. Life here in the Phils is the opposite of what you're experiencing in America simply because you opted to be with ordinary Filipino people. I salute you for your effort. As you may have noticed, we are poor but we are rich in hospitality . Considering that you're a transient pax and awaiting for your connecting flight decided to mingle with people unknown to you, I can only aporeciate you for your brave gesture. Thank you my friend.
Yes seen this video and I agree it is very humble and beautiful this is real the real which so many other RU-vidrs just gloss it doesn't become more heartfelt than this 🇵🇭🇵🇭💯💯🙃🙃🌹🌹
It's my first time to see Fernando become emotional .. actually i was teary eyed too cause i can see the sincerity of marshall and yen towards each other and it is a magical thing
Hi guys, I thank you so much for letting the world know the kind of people we are. Your videos humbles me at the same time makes me proud in a good way.
