The others is one of my favourite gothic horror films. I bought the Studio Canal version which was released before Criterion version. I thought the transfer was great and feel that Dolby Atmos mix was reference quality.

I'm new to the channel and am happy to be here. Great review! The Others was one of my favorites growing up and couldn't ever find it on any streaming service. Just got my criterion copy and loved it!

“69mbps. It was nice” I see what you did there All three were auto buys for me. Meg 2 was one of my fav movies of this year. Might wait for the criterion sale to save a little bit on the Others. Shame it won’t have HDR

Thw Others knocked my socks off. The Dolby Atmos ranks up there with the top audion encodings this year.

Need to know which has the better encode/compression: Criterion or Studio Canal for ..THE OTHERS 4K. I know Criterion has better extras but I'm more about the encode.

Can you do a 4k vs 4k comparison Capelight studio vs Kino Lorber The Great Escape 4k. Kino is without HDR and Capelight has DV/HDR-10+. Please 🙏

Without HDR I don't think it's worth the upgrade just to get better color mapping

Limbo is already on Pre-order... And has been ever since it was announced. ...Funny you should mention Meg 2 The Stench. I don't NORMALLY buy brain-dead movies. Okay. I do own all of the Transformer movies, and all of the Fast & Furious... Anyway, as I was saying [sit down Resident Evil!] I much prefer intelligent films, but I got hooked and took the steelbook bait while I was in Best Buy, and bought another stinky Jason Statham movie. Does he ever make movies that require more than a few braincells to rub together? It's good to hear that the Dolby Atmos track is excellent and the transfer looks good... I'll just use a palette cleanser after watching it. Interstellar? 2001: A Space Odessy? Upstream Color? Vanilla Sky? Parasite? Old Boy (original or remake?)
