The Out-of-Body Experiences of Ms. Zürcher 

Some thirty years ago when I was twenty one, I experienced two out of body experiences in the space of a few weeks. They both occured at a friend's house, where I stayed the night after going out drinking with several friends. In the years prior, I'd read a great deal about OBEs and had tried, unsuccessfully, to master some of the techniques mentioned. Although unsuccessful, one technique stook in my mind - namely, that during a lucid dream, if you're flying (say in an aeroplane) to dive it into the ground as though trying to kill oneself. The idea being, that this action (albeit in the mind) will shock the astral body from its physical host. Anyway, back to my story. On one of the night's I was staying at my friend's house (sleeping in the top bunk of a bunk bed), I found myself having a lucid dream in which I was at the controls of an aeroplane. Remembering what I'd previously read, I immediately turned the steering column down and dived into the ground. Instantly, I found myself out of my body, at the foot of the bunk bed. Despite the darkness of the room, I could make out my sleeping physical form under the sheets. As I was mentally grasping the enormity of what had just happened, I felt a hand on my left shoulder. It was pulling me backwards. I knew that immediately behind me was a built-in wardrobe. Terror took hold of me, and in a split second I was shocked back into my body. As for the second occasion I experienced an OBE, once more I found myself having a lucid dream. This time, though, I decided to try another one of the techniques I'd read about - namely, to roll out of ones body. So, I began to mentally imagine myself doing just that. To my amazement, I was successful, finding myself on my side, mid air, in front of the bunk bed. Unfortunately, no sooner was I out, than I returned back to my body.

A remarkable interview. Thank you so much for doing it. What Ms. Zurcher says about humans slaughtering animals is to true. The situation is horrific and unforgivable. I'll be shocked if I am ever forgiven for eating so many hamburgers and steaks before I realized what was happening and stopped eating meat and dairy products. And as for peace, well, it's obvious most humans love killing other humans, or if not actually doing it, certainly reading about it, watching movies about it, etc. We are barbaric creatures. I don't fear death, but I know I have not done enough to improve this deplorable situation. Few of us ever do. Wonderful to hear from such a special woman. Thank you again.

Wonderful interview. LOVED what Ms. Zurcher said about the slaughtering of billions of farmed animals. This is so important as we need to raise our earthly vibrations and one way we can do this is by not supporting the killing and abusing of these animals. I had a most awful, unique OBE many years ago, all of a sudden. It was about 11 a.m. when I sat on my chair to read a comics magazine. And lo, I found myself out of my body, a-floating through the air in my room, watching amazed my body sitting. Out of the blue, a most hideous creature showed up, hitting me with waves of hatred. I'd say it was a devil, no doubt about it! But why? Why me? People, believe me: the hatred he addressed at me was unbelievable, deadly, kinda physical! When I got on the verge of despair, a voice on my left side said: In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit! The evil creature imploded in itself, spinning at the speed of thought, and desappeared. And behold, I was back in my body.

I wish she explained more about lower and middle astral levels (which is the places most people end up). who ends up in each level and if/when/how they go to higher levels. as for reincarnation, people will never be able to do better if every time they come here their memory is wiped out. if we could, we should have seen millions of saints around us since many souls have come back hundreds of times already but they are back to square one every time!

This was one of my favorite interviews on your channel. When Ms. Zurcher described how these OBE journey's began, it very much reminded me of what the late Robert Monroe described had happened to him. It began spontaneously. He thought he may be going mad, so he consulted with his regular physician, and then a psychologist - who assured him, that he was, in fact, not crazy. He went on to experiment with these out of body journey's, and founded The Monroe Institute. I hope that you may interview her again, as listening to her gave me such an overwhelming sense of peace and happiness. Most important explanation is about the silver cord which is tethered to us until our final death. The point being that those who experience an nde - their silver cord has not yet been broken, therefore, they have NOT truly passed over to the other side, they are at an in-between level that is petitioned off from even the astral planes, that is why they are told it is not their time and they must go back to their body - from perhaps a guide or a loved one, as we hear in their interviews. If the silver cord was broken they would not be doing interviews on the Earth plane! Love this interviewer and appreciate his highly-evolved guest and the information she presented, right up there as the best in my opinion.

I have regular "lucid dreams" in which I am able to control where I go and who I see. The best way I can describe them is a kind of altered state of reality - but it's a reality even more lucid than my current waking reality. It's kind of like an ultra-real computer game which I am in control of. I am not sure if these are "out of the body" like the lady above describes, but it certainly feels like I am away from my physical body. In fact, in one lucid experience I was able to fly at will, similar to Peter Pan flying. I only wish everyone had these experiences because they are literally OUT OF THIS WORLD.

Some of the interviews I have listened to sound so fantastical, as did this one, but then Ms. Zurcher mentioned something that really riveted my attention because I, too, am painfully aware of the suffering, and I find it unbearable....the farming and murder of billions of animals each year. I always wonder, how can this reality escape the minds and hearts of so many people across the globe???? It seems so outrageously obvious how awful this is, but most people do not recognise it at all. Animals farmed for food, and perhaps even worse, animals tortured in the name of science. The sadness and pain of it is literally unbearable. I cannot think about it for very long. I cannot bear it. If I do think about it, I am at a loss to explain why everyone does not see, does not realise or understand how horrible it is. It is pure EVIL. Why does not everyone recognise this? It does not seem as though it takes any special intelligence to see what is happening. I hate to use words like sin, but this is SIN. It makes me wish I could escape this world once and for all forever I am not young. I am reasonably well educated and lived amongst human beings my entire life, and now nearing the end of my life, there is one thing I feel sure of. Human beings know nothing. Our formal educations are worth very little in the long term. The people we deem smart, leaders, wise, good, are in reality none of those things. They know no more than a small child about "reality." I have never been religious, but more and more I think this world is not the true reality. I do not know what is the true reality, but this is not it. I wish I could explain it better.

Thank you for sharing, I recently discovered Dolores Cannon's books, a hypnotherapist who specialized in past life regression, the reincarnation of the soul, what the soul does, and where it travels in between those lives. How ridiculous that medicine and more specifically psychology still treat the existence of the spirits/souls and the spirit world as hallucinations, mental instability although there are numerous studies since the sixties or even earlier through hypnotherapy.

I've had an OBE in 1986 when I was 26 after fainting. It was sudden, unexpected and not a pleasant/happy experience. I've never taken drugs and only drink alcohol in moderation, and had not drank at all before the experience. The “trigger” was a kind of “phobia” I used to have at the time. Misteriously enough, different people (some people at least) have different “phobias” (if you can call them so, like for instance: some faint when they see blood) and mine was a strong sensitivity to people's eyes when they suddenly roll upwards, for any reason, which made me feel sick and almost faint many times before and after that OBE, until I worked on myself to overcome that feeling. I was at a jazz club attending a concert and I was watching the saxophone player during one of his solos, his eyes were closed but, every now and then, he would suddenly open his eye-lids and when he did that, his eyes were rolled all the way up and you could see the white of his eyes only (or almost). After two or three times of this happening I fainted, falling from the chair to the floor. During the fainting, I found myself in a dark place where I could see nothing and no one; the place was dead silent and filled with anguish (or perhaps it was just my anguish) eccept for just one sound, every now and then, that was similar to “electrical discharge” and the sound seemed to match with a strong pain in my legs (like electrical discharges in my legs). The pain in my legs was the only contact I still had with my body (which I could not see “from above” as the upper part of my body was immersed in total darkness). So my consciousness was in this dark, silent (eccept for the “electrical discharges” sound), lonely “place” filled with darkness, anguish and sorrow, while my body was still at the jazz club, I felt “trapped” there and clearly remember thinking how on earth had I got there? Where was I? And, especially: how would I be able to return to my body and my life, to the place I came from? How long would I be in that dark place? Would I be there for ever? I don't know how long the OBE (or “half” OBE? Or was it an OBE at all?) lasted for as, when I “woke up” from fainting the first set of the concert had ended, there was no more music being played, the lights were on again in the room and people were walking over (not stepping on, thankfully) me, with nonchalance, trying not to trip over me! To this day I have not had a clear, fully satisfying, explanation of what exactly happened to me and where my consciousness was during the fainting. Someone who is into shamanism once said to me: “You've been where the 'lost souls' go!”. Someone who had a long experience in Yoga practices said to me: “The eyes of the saxophone player were pointing towards his Brow-Chakra/Third Eye (which connects us with the ESP) and, since you were 'so fine-tuned' to him through the music aswell [afterall I'm a musician too], you 'took off'... but your Root-Chakra was 'fighting' to not let you go and to pull you back into your body”; and, ok, that seemed to make a bit of sense to me, kind of made sense of the pain in my legs/”roots”, it certainly spoke to me. Still, I would like to know, more and better, at least the meaning or spiritual reason, if any, for this experience. Any further insight would be welcome. From both physicians/doctors and/or spiritual seekers. Have any of you had a similar experience? This seems the right place to ask. Thank you so much. Beautiful channel, by the way!

These out of body experiences are fascinating however, they seem to tend to be rather disconcerting and frightening.

I have read about kunalini awakenings in yoga books, there is actually a yoga callled kundalini yoga.

The Indian Sages (Rishis) have been doing OBE's through meditation since 1000's of years. Also, Kundalini Awakening is a complete science explained by the RIshis in the Vedas. It is a pity that the world does not know much about this.

I was 21 back 1996, when I heard this called silver cord from my spiritual teacher and I'm surprise that Ms. Z shared in more detail about the silver cord the size and color and how it's dangerous to some practicing unless have knowledge or guidance or protection (such as prayers) before doing it. Astral body or out of body exp. can happen any time. Be in the Christ consciousness always and become all is well. Don't forget your true purpose while in the earth, know well your self first approve unto God, a little more patient to your fellow man, brotherly love, sisterly love, if you do or help those little ones you did it to Christ.

Kundlini is an ancient Indian Yogic/Tantric exercise. Awakening Kundlini is not a bad thing, only accomplished saints and yogis can do it.
