We're chatting with the cast and creators of Love, Victor; Michael Cimino, James Martinez, Ana Ortiz, George Sear, Marcos Luevanos (producer/writer) and Brian Tanen (Showrunner) to talk about season’s 1 impact, and what’s in store for Victor, his family, and his romantic life in season 2 as he begins his junior year at Creekwood High.

Ana Ortiz was fabulous in season 2. James Martinez was great as well. Obviously Michael is my favorite..but still.

Excellent interview. I'm surprised this has so few comments. It was really interesting/wonderful to hear from James. What a mensch. My heart goes out to him. His experiences reflect what many GLBTQ+ people go through, especially those of us that are older and/or living in less urban environments.

Thank you so much Monica !! I am Filipino and my husband is Latinx, I am so relating to what James Martinez talked about. that.s my family. OMG! it is hard that your sibling is Queer then you find out that your daughter is Queer and getting married,. it was WWWIII and the silence was deafening. Wow!

I really hope the doorbell is to Lake's house. To talk to her mom about broadcasting his love for Benji over tv. That would introduce a wealth of new content and characters. Like someone seeing it and wanting to meet Victor, or someone hating it. Victor's grandparents finding out that way. Issues with opposing basketball teams, etc. So much, but what's most important is that Victor ends up with Benji.

Interesting how Michael has white fingernail polish. Looks great --- he's carrying his support 'off camera' as well.

"Support" right, I guess, for impact, they save up the fact that Michael is "bi" or gay in real life but will wait for season 3 for marketing impact. Then he makes tons of money. George on the other hand is simply a really good actor and can play any roles he is given, be it gay, bi, str8, etc.

Ugh, an actor's sexuality should not be a basis of whether he or she is hired for a project or not. Are you saying that Jim Parsons or Neil Patrick Harris should not have been cast in their hit shows in which they played straight characters? Should they be confined to gay role because they are gay irl? How closed minded.

I don’t really see how that is a wrong thing. It’s still representation. He is an open-ally of LGBTQ, and he doesn’t do anything wrong with portraying a gay character.

I don't think the actors sexuality should matter at all, but I actually would even say it's a good thing that they are straight. All you can do to erase the "divide" between gays and straights is good on my opinion to erase the stigma that still exists around many in the LGBT community
