This video contains activities at Great Southern Railways Adelaide Parklands Terminal (Keswick Interstate Rail Terminal in South Australia) on Friday 14th September, 2012.
These activities include: The arrival of Pacific National locomotive NR17 for use on The Overland as well as the arrival of NR88 and 8046 for shunting purposes (DL39 is also included as it was to be used on the Sydney bound Indian Pacific).
Shunting The Overland consist and the motorail wagon into platform 1 ready for departure and then the departure of The Overland to Melbourne (Victoria).
Arrival of The Indian Pacific from Perth (Western Australia) with Pacific National locomotive NR43 at the head of the train, departure of the Trans Australian Railway Centenary Train and some other shunting movements.
This day is special as it marks 100 years since General Lord Denman turned the first sod to build the Trans-Australian Railway Line in Port Augusta (South Australia). To mark this occasion a special train ran from Adelaide to Port Augusta and return.
This train was unique as the Australasian Railway Association (ARA) had asked freight operators Pacific National, QR National, Specialised Container Transport (SCT), Genesee & Wyoming Australia (GWA) and Chicago Freight Car Leasing Australia (CFCLA) to each provide a locomotive for the special train.
In total 6 diesel locomotives were provided with the consist being:

QR National locomotive 6022
SCT locomotive CSR004
CFCLA locomotive G512
G&W locomotive GWU006
Pacific National locomotive NR18 (In new Indian Pacific yellow livery).
The special train also consisted of 5 carriages for special guests and dignitaries, the consist being:
HM 958 -- GSR Luggage Car
AFC 305 - GSR Gold Lounge Car
DF 934 -- GSR Gold Dining Car
AG 374 -- GSR Sit up Car
HGM 297 -- GSR Power Van.
