Recently discovered your channel, I live on a long narrow "in city green belt" with a VERY tiny creek that I have been working on for almost 40 years, building rock step dams strengthened by the roots of Crack Willow trees. In a roughly quarter mile stretch, I've made over 20 ponds and planted over 250 trees, stopping erosion and turning a gully covered with thistle and willow brush into "a piece of country" in the city that people go out of their way to enjoy the bike path running through it. At times I was discouraged by how destructive little boys can be when they play, but the Crack Willow roots would prevail and make the step dams indestructible and trees would shade the water to keep it clear in the summer. Over the years I've struggled with many strange "weeds" and in the last decade Cleavers have invaded causing me to "give up" in my old age, your video on them was an eye opener and although I can't do much out there anymore, I have peace of mind knowing that many of these "weeds" are food and medicine and I can just "let it be". I've planted apple, cherry and peach trees plus a huge raspberry patch, the little ponds look so natural you can't tell that they are manmade. It's almost priceless to be able to look out my back window at "a creek and woods" instead of a row of houses less than a 100 yards away. I appreciate your love and understanding of plants and sharing your knowledge, how different it is now from even 10 years ago to be able to find information on anything one is wondering about.

Thank you for your comment Mark 😁 what you've done it a beautiful thing & somthing we dream of doing ourselves one day. That's time on earth we'll spent & will bring great benefits to wildlife & people for many years. So many birds will go to bed with full bellys because of what you've done! We see the weeds as just being natures way everything seems to find a balance in the end. About the information your right these days it's all become a big mix it's not as simple to get the knowledge clear cut anymore. We plan our channel to be a kind of modern archive 🙂

We are out in the wilderness with my little girl in Latvia 🇱🇻 and we've been picking bilberries and heal-all and wild strawberries and saw a lot of ox eye daisies. Found a bench in the middle of the woods to sit down after all the berry picking and see if we should pick some ox eye daisies, too... so we searched on RU-vid and so glad we found your channel. We will keep watching and leaving likes and comments. Now we are going to pick some daisy flowers, too. Greetings from Latvia 🇱🇻 you're awesome 👌 👏 💐🏆😚

Brilliant video, thank you. I have them growing in my garden, large swathes of them. They used to be in the fields around my house but now they're in my garden telling me to be patient. I love your highly informative and engaging manner, I've dabbled in herbal remedies for many years [over 40!] and you have a way of engaging the viewer. I'm going to eat them, make herbal syrup and maybe even a tincture.

Such a beautiful video (apart from pixilating but that was probably my signal!) I just love what you say at the end about being present and patient and being really in this beautiful world! I'm trying to create a wildflower meadow and having problems getting a decent amount of seeds, especially ox eye daisy. Got huge virulent grasses in our meadow which choke everything. Need some advice. Can you recommend anyone please. Love, blessings and happiness for you and your family in 2022. Xxx 💖🙏💖🌟🌟🌟
