Thank you for this tutorial. I have my grandparents' house and the gardens had been neglected. I'm pretty much starting from the beginning. I'm planting trees, shrubs and perennials. Growing from seed is such an economical way to add flowers and therefore, beauty.
It is such a great way to grow as it saves a fortune and wildflowers are great for the insects. Glad you enjoyed it and found it useful . You're garden restoration project sounds lots of fun. Thank you for watching.
Your gardens are spectacular! And naturalizing is the most cost effective way of gardening to me. I´ve had very good luck with the naturalized verbena bonariensis and with the camassia. May I ask for a follow up video next year? How can one get rid of chouchgrass? To me it seems impossible, similar to bindweed. Thanks for uploading, it is always a pleasure to follow you in your amazing garden. Best wishes, Hanni.
Thank you Hanni we really appreciate that. We have just planted some more verbena bonariensis as I have some self seeded ones from last year but we wanted more. I'm definitely doing a follow up video next year to show the results. You never know we might get some flowers this autumn. I just did the couch grass out as much as possible.
I love these flowers; along with poppies they rate as my favourites but try as I might I never have had much success when I have tried to grow them. I put them in a flowerbed but I was told they don't like well cultivated soil. Could you suggest how I could prepare the ground in order to grow them. Thank you very much.
They are the best sort of flowers. I love things that self seed . Ive never tried letting my Rudbeckia seed, I always dead head them. Might give this a try
Hi there, I bought ox eye daisy seeds from my local garden centre, can you tell me roughly how many seeds to drop into the holes? The holes are half inch deep, thank you
