Chat and the streamer managed to mix up “inhuman” and “inhumane.” Different concepts. The top secret info about the black box was saying that, since Yorha is ultimately a disposable unit destined for destruction, it would be inhumane (aka immoral, unjustfiable, needlessly cruel, etc.) to design them using the same AI matrix that humans developed. However, by basing their codes off the machines - aka the alien invaders - now they have no qualms about using and then destroying Yorha, because they don’t really consider them androids anymore; now they’re just machines that superficially resemble androids. Basically, it’s racist logic.

It hurts, but you have to keep walking the path... Until the end...

23:20 - When the aliens and machines arrived, the androids already existed. It wasn't until a few thousand years later that Yorha was created and the council of humanity was fabricated.

A2’s killed the two people 9S cared about in front of him. I wouldn’t hear her out either lmao

9:10 Ohhh nooo. This area needed just a dash of Luni exploration. If you fully enter that chamber on the left, it locks you in with 3 enemies. When you defeat them, all the salmon is removed from the last chamber lmao 22:32 This is it. This is what you were already onto at 52;40 - 53;05 in the Part 16 VOD. YoRHa androids and machine lifeforms share the same fundamental core. So they do have the same hearts after all, and the violence and hatred of the whole Machine War is a metaphor for humans killing each other throughout history over superficial, perceived differences. 1:04:20 This game is so good. Sucks that it's so damn unstable on PS5! 1:12:40 When Song of the Ancients kicks in 😭🤌

the reason 21o was treating 9s like a child was becuase she saw him like a little brother her remarks for wanting a family allude to that as well, btw if you want to feel worse you didnt have to kill the bucket brothers if you walk away rather than towards them A2 will leave them alone

OH NO LOL ahhh, damn ; - ; I feel like it was such a strange, sudden shift from 21O that seemed to happen out of nowhere, especially with how strict and to the point she was before, it felt so sudden but this makes sense I suppose

I know your ahead so I'm not sure how much you figured out already. But from the info you gathered: -The tower is a cannon aimed at the moon. But it doesn't sound like it was supposed to fire artillery. Sounds like it was made to gather and send information there instead. -The resource collection structures are also for reclaiming and processing androids. -Yorha black boxes are made from machine cores. That's significant for a variety of reasons. 9S and 2B Said several times machines don't have feelings. Pasquel mentions machines live as long as their core is safe, but they can lose memories and stuff when switching bodies... sounds very similar to how the androids work. Also, machine cores were used because it was considered inhumane to use human AI on android's that were 'Ultimately destined for disposal.' So the question I'm left with is... ...What was Yorha's actual purpose? If the humans wanted to get rid of them after they served there purpose, that'd be evil, but I can follow the logic. But the Yorha's were built well after humanity died out. The commander kept humanity's downfall a secret so that the androids would have a purpose. Not even she knew she'd just be 'reclaimed' at some point. I dun like where this is going.

Both the androids and the machines see the war as being fundamentally a pretext for evolution. Yorha was just one of countless steps in the direction of creating ever more powerful, intelligent, adaptable successors to humans.

I love reading the comments for this game, because even though we've finished the game, there are so many small details that I may have not realized or missed that are mentioned and brought to attention by commenters, so I love this! 🙏

Another reason for YorHa is based on something the Commander said: "We need a god worth dying for." Something along those lines at least. The Army of Humanity (ALL the androids on Earth) knew mankind was gone. They were fighting at this point just to preserve what was left. But morale was at an all time low and less androids were being made. They were going to go extinct if nothing happened. YorHa was designed to create then perpetuate the lie that Humanity was still alive. That the androids' gods still lived, still loved them and still needed them to fight. Then, once a certain point was reached, YorHa would be destroyed. An intentional backdoor in their server for the machines to use and wipe YorHa out. So the lie would never be discovered. So that their god would still be watching over them and the androids would have a reason to live on.

I only played Automata after watching a streamer playing through and loving it. Are you gonna play Replicant? I actually replay Replicant more than Automata. Just can't get enough of its story.

from hacking and doing too much damage you missed a small but pretty emotional line of dialogue from 210 saying all she wanted was to be with 9s (not romantically)

you would have gotten an additional dialogue during the fight against the bucket boy if you had only attacked the little ones 😁 and if you hadn't run to him after the fight but just walked out, you could have let him live 😅

What the other guy said. First half is solid action rpg. Good, but I wouldn't call it legendary. Then the bloody training wheels fall off and the damn thing goes off the rails. Prepare to be stabbed in the feelings.
