I started with Arena right after Oko was banned and didn't get into limited until much later. Eldraine got a lot of flak but it will always have a special place in my heart. I very much enjoyed the flavor of the set and I purchased a whole booster box of the set so I could set up some cube drafts if I ever end up with some actual friends....

Mono Blue was always the way to go. It didn't matter if you had a splash color you just played as many Didn't say please's and merfolk secret keepers and milled your opponent out. Blue-Red was not a strong combo if I recall. I'm surprised the drafters in your pod weren't first picking those solid blue spells.

Mono blue was super strong yeah, more so in the quick drafts because it was easy to scoop up a lot of secret keepers. The UR deck required some of the uncommons to really pop off but was quite strong if you did have the gold card enchantment or the rat producer. Decent amount of ways to draw cards at common made it so you only needed a couple of the uncommons for it to really purr though as well. This on top of the red removal at common being really solid and blow having decent fliers to take over a game that way. Loved the eldraine drafts so much, glad Nummy is doing a couple.

maybe consider running the faerie token enchant(s) and the team-pump mana rock; already have 6 cards that free trigger the enchant and lots of Mystic Sanctuary for inevitability looks like all the Paladins do is eat removal, and are not a reliable wincon

I think the paladins are still reasonable here, but the enchantments seem like decent includes since this deck likes going late game with the clocktower and he also gets thrill to trigger them on opp or his turn. They're just such high upside with this much removal to ensure you get to the late game.

I did 5 drafts in eldraine so far and it didn't go well somehow. Even though I opened oko twice and ended in mono color decks 4 times (just the games went bad kinda)

He had enough mana to pump to 12 counters which returns his graveyard to his library and draws a new 7 cards. OP couldn't attack and was most likely just going to flood out the rest of the game with only having 6 lands out and 20 something cards in library.

As a limited only player who isn't that amazing, the last month has felt like horrible matchmaking and/or unbelievably bad mana screw. Variance is a thing and maybe it is just a bad streak, but I am starting to feel like MTGA limited is a waste.
