If you are one of 12 people with a sliding table saw and parallel guides, this video may be for you. I find it a pain to remove my parallel guides so I build my F&F around them. This video shows the build.

That’s a pretty cool video. Thanks. I am thinking of putting one on my slider but haven’t had the time yet. But I’ll get to it soon enough. You have a nice slider by the way.

If you aren't going for parallel guide level accuracy, you can certainly make the job a lot easier on yourself. Good luck! :)

Hey just found your channel and this video. Excellent! Looks like you’ve posted two videos several months ago and then…. Hope you’ll find time and interest to make some more. It’s a bit challenging to find videos from shops with a sliding table saw.

Thanks for your support and patience! I know it's been a while. You're right, I do have quite a bit of footage that I've yet to edit. It can be time-consuming but I promise I'll get to it eventually!

Thank you for the support. The sliding table saw is a SCM ST5ES with a variety of options. I hope that helps.

Hoping to join the slider club in the not so distant future. Happy with the SCM machine? Did you look at the Felder lineup when you were purchasing?

Well I had written up a nice long response to this, but RU-vid errored and I lost it, so now you get the short version. Yes I saw both in person. The SCM felt higher quality to me than the Felder although I originally planned on buying Felder. I am happy with the SCM machines but there are a few problems I haven't been able to resolve because support is so lousy. The sales system is lousy too, I tried very hard to buy a wide belt from them and couldn't even get a response. I think Felder is probably more responsive but I can't say. I'd probably buy Martin or Altendorf if I had to do it again. I bought this unit specifically because I wanted to eliminate my standalone shaper, which has worked well. Email if you want to discuss further, hello@pixelwoodworks.com.
