We are the developers of The Penjikent Creature! It was an absolute blast crafting this short horror experience and we are glad to hear that so many of you, amazing people, really enjoyed your playthrough! :D Our game has many secrets and a surprisingly deep lore. Feel free to come by and check it out yourself, as it can even be played on your browser. We hope you have an amazing day! :D
why did you rip off that one slideshow scene from Portrait of God? like are you really that uninspired and unoriginal that you just straight up copy other people's ideas?
I always like how clean your let's plays are. You look around the environments showing what the viewer might be wondering about, but also don't linger and bore the viewer. You also convey a lot with the camera, how you try to pick up the lantern but indirectly show that you can't 9:27 , how you frame important plot elements clearly in the camera (painting empty) and the hilarious 'nopes' with the shaking camera. It's clear that you try the games on your own pace first and then very thoughtfully make the perfect showcase for video afterwards, and it works so, so well. Cheers.
Thank you very much for your kind words about my gameplay style! When play I always try to showcase the games as well as possible and keep the viewer in mind (almost like I'm shooting my own little movie). Glad you like it and thanks for watching and commenting! :)
So what I'm getting from all of the endings is that the old lady IS the ebegn. And she can apparently pop in and out of the mural painting. She probably wears the costume as 'camoflauge' in the dark and it seems like she hides all her victims in the painting itself.
@okkThat or that the creature has some sort of other sway over her, given she mentions at the start of ending 1 how the painting has "only brought bad luck to the family" and the protagonist mentions that the creature causes "mass hysteria." Given that the protagonist for some reason doesn't go to the police in ending 2, and the report doesn't mention the grannies’ ninja outfit, I think the implication well is that the mural now controls him.
"Oh that painting in kitchen is called Carnivorous Attack Trance aka CAT." I do like that Playstation 1 style graphics. Also the music and sounds are great while wearing earphones.
I reeeeeally love this one! Art style and presentation feels similar to Daniel Mullens’ stuff and the monster and scares remind me a lot of a really great short film on RU-vid called “Portrait of God”- really hope these devs make more stuff like this!
Man I love cool lil games like these! Nothing like nostalgic graphics to bring you back to a simpler time and just enjoy the creative process of it all! Great stuff, I like how the player looks around before going on to the next thing so we can get a better look at the surroundings 😊great stuff 🎉
@@AlphaBetaGamer - Even more important similarities are the dark candlelit room, the wall on your lefthand side, and everything but her face and hands being hidden.
You seriously need to chill and stop spamming this. Its not ripping anything off. It’s obviously inspired by the short film but so what? Every movie and every game borrows ideas from others. Stop being an ass and rude to the developers. With that said if that homage of the scene offends you so much that you act like this then I say great. Ill drink those fake tears and sleep well knowing this 10 second scene annoys you so much. Fantastic.
Lmao Portrait of God did NOT invent the projection-monster-becomes-real trope. It was used in IT, it was used in Sinister, and it's been used in other horror films. You need to chill out.
