Had my a3 saloon for a few months now and love it, averaging 40mpg with mostly in town driving and odd longer trip. Super easy to drive and looks great. Nice review!
I really like this channel and presenter. They deserve more attention than some of the others. This has a personal touch like Jay Emm. She's really informative and friendly.
I’ve had my sline 35 for about 3 months now and I absolutely love it. I’ve been really impressed with how much the handling has improved from the previous model, yet the comfort has improved too. Also totally agree, when you make a change to the drive select, it actually makes a difference (especially dynamic). Some materials aren’t as good as the old model, but everything is well built and sturdy, plus infotainment system is very impressive. Anyway, great review, keep up the good work 👍
I agree, I took delivery of mine in December and although I was like a kid in a sweet shop with the options list I absolutely love it, and it’s a vast improvement on the previous model it replaced.
I like these . I drive a 19 plate 7.5 GTI PP and I love it . On long journeys if you drive sensibly. I have had 53MPG .VOLKSWAGEN went to far with the Digital cock pit on the Mk8 . The A3 still has functionality and buttons. Happy New Year to you and your family Tish 🎉
Thanks for another great review, I have a VW Jetta and can’t get one in the UK anymore. This has me thinking that the A3 saloon would be a good replacement with excellent fuel economy. Your reviews are always well presented and give just the right information. Happy New Year I look forward to seeing more cars from you for years to come.
I’ve got the exact same model & specification, really good car, the B&O sound system is special for sure, I like the fact it’s nippy & very economical & looks the part too, nice honest review
Happy New year to you Tish! Loved the graphics showing the roadtrip route at the start. As for the car love the colour (always wanted a yellow car) and like the overall styling of the A3 saloon, but just don't think Audi now is as good as previous generations. I would also be concerned about the durability of the engine and gearbox too.
Happy New Year, gorgeous Tish (that dress looks fantastic, by the way!)! ❤Love the car (though I probably wouldn't be able to afford it - it's an Audi, after all!), and I do agree about those wheels not being cohesive with that Python Yellow color. I can't wait for you to bring back your Travels With Tish channel (perhaps your three-country trip with the A3 being a separate video?). 🙂
As usual a cracking quick review of a decent car. It certainly looks good and gives decent fuel economy but as you mention the standard equipment could be described as a tad sparse. All this adds to the initial purchase cost. There are other models within the VW group that arguably offer better value for money but the Audi may offer better residuals for older cars so I guess it's a balancing act that needs to be factored in. I might consider an ex demo or a used version of this car but I'd seriously look at other options before signing on the dotted line. My current car has the 1.5 VW engine 7 speed auto with four wheel drive but it has the aerodynamics of a cathedral so economy is mid 30's which is pants compared to the A3 Saloon. That's the price you pay for an SUV I guess. Many thanks for sharing.
1.5 VW engine means it is the code or model of the engine or 1.5 is the engine size such as 1.5L? If it was the case, i wonder how you use it as i think it sounds rather dangerous.
Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz... it's hard to beat the "Holy Trinity" of the auto industry, and this car proves it. Right off the bat: the colour! Python Yellow fits it to a tee, really showing off the body lines, and the black to go with it just makes sense. Yeah the rims are less impressive so that's a zonk. Everything else is spot on. Luxury, adequate performance, functionality and fuel efficient. Tough to beat. Not to mention the sheer comfort of the whole driving experience. Audi knows how to deliver for all customers so it's not surprising at all. They know what they're doing, and will continue to elevate their game with later models to come. Great review, and Happy New Year. On Throttle!!!!
I prefer the interior of the older one. I like a clean uncluttered dash. The old one has no screens. (if you choose the hide it), I am of the opinion that screens are a distraction. It's still a great car though.
Have to agree about those wheels they really don’t do the rest of the car any justice ! I recently bought a A3 Edition 1 which has the Audi Sport wheels they just transform the car, a nice set of rims would make a big difference to Monty Python.
I have this car in black and it is awesome. Do agree that it feels Audi have been a bit stingy with some stuff such as a reversing camera, but overall it’s a solid car with a decent engine.
I had a 67 plate 1.5 S Line, didn’t even get folding door mirrors as standard. This has always been a problem with so called premium brands from Germany. I’m now a convert to Toyota and haven’t looked back.
Happy 😁 New Year 🎉🥳 to you Tish and the team behind the scenes. All the best for 2024. Great 👌 review, but Audi could have done better with this sedan, from exterior design to interior and dashboard. They usually build more luxury cars and could have done much more with this one. I'm not so impress by it. As for the color I would have gotten it when I was younger, but at present age NO.
Can you do a review on the Audi Q3 please? torn between the Audi A3 Sedan or the Audi Q3 as a second car after my first car as a young driver ❤️ also is it comfortable driving?
@@AutoSocialUK Yes I have always been a saloon girl myself and its nice to see a small saloon like the A3 saloon doing good. The Mercedes A Class saloon did not have the same success unfortunately and it seems more and more that its just big cars like the Audi A6, BMW 5 series, Mercedes E-Class, Volvo S60 aa well ask S90 and whatever Lexus's one is called now that are saloons and only very well off people can afford them now.
If I’m being honest I’m not overly keen! Yes I’m sure it’s a very nice car to drive etc. It would look so much better in a darker colour IMO but I suppose in yellow you definitely stand out from the crowd 😂
Agree on the wheels, they just look wrong. The car seems good and on a personal note I prefer fewer gadgets that the Audi, BMW & Merc offer because I reckon that if it is a car that I'll keep for a couple or three years there are fewer niggles.
Just prefer the previous model. I owned one and loved it. I used to marvel at its level of quality which was class leading. The current one is nowhere near that level. I hate that you can’t see the untrimmed metal around the window in the interior. That’s cheap.
@@AutoSocialUK That was a quick fix. How is the infotainment on the A3? I've heard bad things on VW Golf and other new VAG cars. What about audio system and road noise?
Hate the black grill/badge/door mirrors and silver wheels combo. Apart from that it looks nice enough, yellow is a great colour and livens up a fairly boring car!
I just got the S line version with the better grill and chrome (in my opinion) toyed with the idea of the yellow when ordering but my dealer wanted £1000 deposit for the option, instead of the usual £250. The salesman said it was because of a very limited resale market (if I was to back out on my order). I opted for the safe Daytona grey instead. Absolutely love the car though and has exceeded my expectations in virtually every aspect.
Not easy to watch this informative review and keep my eyes on her fashion sense. Her perfectly designed top in lace bordered on tulle tissue shines more than the Audi she reviews. Was she inspired by French fashionistas in France. I’m in my first week since I subscribed to this channel and the cars she reviews weren’t the first thing I saw. Her glamorous figure and stylish sense of fashion prompted me to become one of her subscribers.
Nice colour, I agree about wheels, probably the basic wheels would be better as they are darker, Why can’t Audi offer the 200bhp 4x4 like in other countries, it’s a big step up to the S3 , 150bhp when the car is 1.5 ton is not that good if you live where there are hills, ok on flat I suppose,
The A3 is a nice looking car but German brands are stingy with their equipment. I have just purchased a Mazda 3 and the amount of equipment you get as standard and premium feel interior is far better value than the Audi , but I suppose a lot of people are attracted to the badge name that's why you don't see many Mazda 3's about.
looks nice outside although centre console looks cheap, we had as company car just saloon version, last year I done round trip Oxford-Manchester and was shocked about noise level my mazda cx30 is like tranquil shrine compering to A3...where is that luxury ?
@AutoSocialUK that was 72 plate s line and was September doubt that was winter tyres, we have also skoda, vw ,Mercedes and BMW so quite a spectrum lol...and Audi was my worst experience..although fuel consumption insanely good as handling too..
I’ve gone right off Audis, seen to many engine rip offs, apparently your first 10,000 miles you will need repairs, and an ars to work on…. All I’m seeing is ££££ signs
Went to a audi dealership and got told to use the adaptive cruise assist you would have to buy extra to get it activsted. Shame Audi charging more for that . Also got told there is no wireless charging pad even as a extra . Its already expensive but get less as standard.
No - big yellow flag right there. Maybe for the youngsters. ONLY 150bhp - reviews always promote the bigger engines which is fine if you don’t care about purchase price or running costs. I just bought an A3 saloon 30 1 litre and it’s ideal for me - even more power than my old A3 Sportback 1.6. Bigger isn’t always best for everyone - don’t rule out the 1 litre.
Typical audi 🙄, u have to pay extra for reversing camera and heated seats etc , something Kia and Hyhundai either as standard or paying not much more 😉
Interior materials and quality...it's simply not true what she is saying. The current A3 is a step back compared with previous in terms of materials used. On this A3 even the front doors have hard scratchy plastic and lower parts of the dash. People should go and see for themselves
Nope . Audi. Association with poor driving skills and arrogance (used to think a cliche… but seems to be true). Used to be BMW drivers in the 90’s. Then Audi really took over and now I think Tesla are starting to battle for the title.
