This game is designed to be beaten in 15-20 hours, it's not really trying to be Isaac or Hades. It's still very good and fun to play/watch Egg play though.

I beat the game in 9 hours and 59 minutes. Even if he goes full completionist I feel like it would still take only like 20 hours. It's not going to last unfortunately.

Had an idea - what if the extension let people create their little cultist character in advance and it just pulled that if you got chosen in the raffle? Would be a fun little character creation game on its own and it would avoid having everyone waiting on a single person each time a new follower is added (And if you didn't have a prebuilt character, it would be the same as it is now where you'd just make one on the spot)

I think there's not that much data - a number between say 1 and 40 for each attribute's value, times like 5 attributes, times number of chatters (maybe 30000 across all streams on an amazing day). Not that much for a computer!

The only issue here is that not all the cosmetic choices are unlocked to start with. So i guess they would have to either ignore what the player has unlocked or unlock all the cosmos for the player.

They should start the raffle at the moment the follower is gained, and end it when you try to convert the follower in town. Or even end it earlier than that at a certain % chat has joined the raffle (setting by streamer) so that they could start(and maybe finish) the follower building process before you begin the conversion.

Weird to see so many options for the followers. First thing I did was chop down all the trees and mine all the ruins. Pretty much before the first level. While the trees do grow back. Getting rid of the ruins gives you a lot more room in general.

In regards to meditation I have been told that "The less time you have the more important it is that you set aside time to meditate". Essentially the more that you feel like you don't have time the more hectic and stressful your days are and the more you will benefit from actually setting aside time and meditating.

It's got that perfect addiction curve. Some high quality excitement followed by reaping the benefits from the run and then prepping for the next run in a more low-key bit of gameplay, rinse and repeat. You can quickly do one cycle if you don't have a lot of time to game, or you can go on for hours. It's also not as stressful as something like isaac. Full-on intense roguelikes aren't for everyone (I don't really like them most of the time) and this game strikes a really good balance

@@tedesco7219 How can you say that when you don't know me or the game? Listen, every enemy in the game has patterns, learn them, don't get hit. Pretty simple. For example, attacking the normal/regular enemies will stun lock or break their attacks so you can essentially button mash each of them individually. Again, easy to not take damage.

Cult of the Egg while a different Canadian streamer I watch also named his cult Cult of the Egg. Unlike NL, he's a variety streamer so it's unlikely and rare if he ever goes back to it unless it's game clearing. NL likely will have the true Cult of the Egg.

I'm loving it so far....who knows about replay. I don't know if anyone has completed a game yet. But there are different build types. You can go for more of a curse using build, or a better weapon user. There's lots to unlock. It's definitely worth a purchase. I have a tough time getting into games nowadays and get bored quickly. So far with this I get sucked in and a couple hours have gone by without me realizing it

I have been absorbed in it for several hours, its got a great gameplay loop between managing your cult/cultists, dungeon delving, and exploring/planning ahead. I think I will need to play more to the endgame to see how the replay ability is. I think if the ways of playing the game over again are different, varied and interesting enough, you could come up with some unique cult setups (as you choose between doctrines that influence what rituals you can perform and how your cultists react to things)
