1. Caught Somewhere in Time 2. Wasted Years 3. Sea of Madness 4. Heaven Can Wait 5. The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner 6. Stranger in a Strange Land 7. Deja- Vu 8. Alexander the Great
Side A: 1 The trooper (starting fast and galloping) 2 Run to the hills (another galloping one) 3 Infinite dreams (slower, more proggy) 4 Different World (a bit faster, heavier) Side B: 5 Rainmaker (picking up the pace before a longer one) 6 Hallowed be thy name (getting stronger and longer for the last act) 7 Can I play with madness (fast and energetic before the climax) 8 When the wild wind blows (long, epic, and ending on a calm, concluding note)
Aces High (best opener) The Trooper (fan favourite) Killers (keep the pace going) Remember Tomorrow (ballad to slow down) Transylvania (best instrumental) Hallowed be Thy Name (the epic/ can be replaced by Phantom of the Opera) Paschendale (best post 2000 Maiden song) Fear of the Dark (best closer and brings the crowd together)
Great list man. Mine would be something like that: SIDE A 1. Caught Somewher in Time 2. The Ghost of Navigator 3. Dance of Death 4. Only the Good die Young SIDE B 1. Aces High 2. The Trooper 3. Hallowed be thy Name 4. Hell on Earth Bonus track: Prowler (Live version with Bruce on vocals) I tried to put one song from each of the classic Bruce albums + 3 newer ones. These are all my favourites. If it was a double album, I'd put in 22 Acacia, Where Eagles Dare, Rime, Out of the silent planet, Moonchild, Evil that men do for sure.
My definitive Iron Maiden "personal edition" LP: Side A: 1. Flight of Icarus 2. Phantom of The Opera 3. Charlotte The Harlot/22 Acacia Avenue (both songs should always be together) 4. Where Eagles Dare 5. Revelations Side B: 1. The Ides Of March/Wrathchild (both song should always be together) 2. Aces High 3. Remember Tomorrow 4.The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner 5. Hallowed Be Thy Name
Aces high El dorado Stranger in a strange land The prisoner Where eagles dear Revelations Bring your daughter , to the slaughter The thin line between love and hate
History of Iron Maiden, and why. 1- Aces High. Great album opener, great concert opener. 2- Prowler. Gotta have Paul on here, and just a great early " dirty song" 3- Wasted Years. If you wanted to show someone a " radio hit" to introduce them to the band. 4- Evil that Men Do. Simple riffs can be amazing. If done right, a phase as a chorus can work. 5- Blood On the World's Hands. If you are going to go Blaze, go dark. Talking history, have to have all singers here. 6- Ghost of the Navigatior. Modern heavy. 7- Legacy. Modern long Maiden can work, if done right. 8- Hallowed be Thy Name. No better closer.
Side A: Wildest Dreams Infinite Dreams The Prisoner Dream of Mirrors Side B: The Talisman Out of the Silent Planet When the Wild Wind Blows Hell on Earth
My album: A) Moonchild 22 Acacia Avenue Phantom Of The Opera Powerslave B) Hallowed Be Thy Name The Trooper The Number Of The Beast Rime Of The Ancient Mariner
1. The Trooper 2. Where Eagles Dare 3. Caught Somewhere in Time 4. The Clairvoyant 5. Infinite Dreams 6. Killers 7. Powerslave 8. Hallowed be They Name. Your album isn't bad. Do this for Metallica and Megadeth.
I made myself an album with some Iron Maiden favorites. It was very hard since I love their epic songs and didn't want it be over 80 minutes. It ended up like this: 1. Paschendale 2. Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son 3. Dream Of Mirrors 4. The Time Machine 5. The Trooper 6. Rime Of The Ancient Mariner 7. Caught Somewhere In Time 8. For The Greater Good Of God 9. Hallowed Be Thy Name
Something different: My 2000s Trilogy Album: 1. The Wicker Man 2. Rainmaker 3. Dance of Death 4. The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg 5. Different World 6. Blood Brothers 7. Paschendale 8. The Legacy
Really a great choice !! Would be a killer Maiden album. Also love the Dance Of Death album a lot altough I'm Maiden maniac since 1986! Killer album with terrible artwork... Here my tracklist: 1. Caught Somewhere In Time 2. Aces High 3. The Clairvoyant 4. Phantom Of The Opera 5. The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner 6. Strange World 7. Sea of Madness 8. Hallowed be thy Name Cheers from Switzerland

Best song ever: Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner 8. Long Song: The Red and the Black I made the album more based on different Maiden themes, sacrificing its cohesiveness. I’m young and have bias towards the newer stuff so that’s why there’s more of it. I wish I had room for a Blaze song (The Clansman) and a Brave New World song (The Nomad) but I don’t have room. 6:14 I’ve been a Maiden fan for 19 years. Coincidentally, I’m 19. I was raised on this stuff 😂
1. Flight of Icarus 2. Phantom of the Opera 3. Hallowed Be Thy Name 4. Flash of the Blade 5. The Evil That Men Do 6. The Sign of the Cross 7. Caught Somewhere in Time 8. Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Mine would be something like this: 1. Aces High 2. The Prisoner 3. Revelations 4. The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner 5. The Writing on the Wall 6. The Man of Sorrows 7. Afraid to shoot Strangers 8. Rime of the Ancient Mariner Bonus: 9. Hell on Earth
This was pretty challenging but I think I'd have to go with: 1) Caught Somewhere in Time 2) Wasted Years 3) Sea of Madness 4) Heaven Can Wait 5) The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner 6) Stranger in a Strange Land 7) Deja Vu 8) Alexander the Great I always thought this would make a perfect album🤘🏽🔥
@@threestringsomg It is not a joke that is my list. I love other stuff they did but that album is perfect. I saw them on that tour twice. I love Powerslave too (saw them on that tour) but Somewhere in Time is Maiden at their best.
Great list .. would love to see you create an album…for bands like Judas Priest, Saxon, Mötorhead. Or take a genre like Atmospheric Black and do an eight track picking from across the genre. My list for Iron Maiden would be: Side A: 1: The Trooper 2: Caught Somewhere In Time 3: Hallowed Be Thy Name 4: The Evil Than Men Do Side B: 5:The Clansman 6: The Prisoner 7: Afraid To Shoot Strangers 8: Fear Of The Dark

id probably give your album an 8 or a 9! i’m not a huge fan of rue morgue so that would unfortunately be a skip for me. but here’s my album: 1. caught somewhere in time 2. the clairvoyant 3. face in the sand 4. the pilgrim 5. aces high 6. ghost of the navigator 7. when 2 worlds collide 8. alexander the great i wanted to fit in prowler somewhere but i was kinda going for an ~atmospheric~ vibe (that may not be the right word to describe it lmao)

@@REDOYSTERCULT302 I Definitely Agree, I Was Super Close To Putting It At 8 But I Just Thought At Putting It At 4 For Some Reason, I Was Wondering What Would Your Other 7 Tracks Be?
1. Hallowed be thy name 2. Number of the beast 3. Wickerman 4. Fear of the dark. 5. The trooper 6. Flight of Icarus 7. Powerslave 8. Alexander the Great

Side A Children of The Damned The Reincarnation of Benjamin Button, Seventh Son of A Seventh Son Revelations Side B The Prisoner, Fear of The Dark, Stranger In A Strange Land, The Nomad... secret ending if you leave the cd running - Wasted Years 👀👨🎤 Secret secret ending Hallowed Be Thy Name (because it's my 3rd place song from Beast and like you can't do without it really) Children OTD has to be my IM opener. Immediate goosebumps (I'm straight back in 1988 crying in the dark with both joy and sorrow on my Walkman hoping the batteries don't run out....🖤🖤🖤), zoned in, have to hear it all, can't stop listening mode straight off...straight into the sorrow....bite me🧐 Id call my Maiden album Listen In The Dark and it would always play side B first by accident because it always happens on tape....so yeah its a magic plays side b first cd....🤯..
Only 8 Maiden albums is absolute torture I guess I'd go with 1. Wrathchild 2. Murders in the Rue Morgue 3. Another Life 4. Innocent Exile 5. Killers 6. Twilight Zone 7. Purgatory 8. Drifter Oh wait, that's just (most of) Killers.... What a coincidence ; )
I will make one full of underdogs Side A Flash of the blade Innocent exile Sun amd steel Childhoods end Side B Public enema nb 1 Deja vu Fates warning The unbeliever
I'm boring but I would pick 1st album minus Charlotte the Harlot and add in Murders in the Rue Morgue or Women in Uniform. The first album is simply that good.
I love rainmaker too! But it didn't make it my perfect album: 1. Moonshield 2. Revelations 3. Flight of icarus 4. The evil that man do 5. The number of the beast 6. Wasted years 7. Powerslave 8. Hallowed by the name
First of all this is a great idea en video....... only 8 songs is almost impossible 🤣So you to have to choose songs that in your personal top 20 but also that songs that fit to make a great album. And even then you have to skip so many great songs. But I will give it a try. Both side A en B starts with my favourite openers, followed by a song that fits in the category Maiden Ballads. By the way Infinite Dreams is my favourite Maiden song of all time. Then follows a shorter really heavy song. And of course as a closer of both sides two real classic album closers, but I have to say that was really a hard one. Mariner, to Tame a land, Alexander, etc/ are all great closers. Side A: Caught somewhere in Time Infinite Dreams Montsegur The Book of Souls Side B Where eagles Dare Afraid to shoot strangers The Fallen angel Hallowed be Thy Name
Ive been a metal fan since early 90s. Never found the appeal of Iron Maiden and the opera vocals. One song was enough for me back in the day to never listen a single album of Maiden.
Let’s go… Deja Vu Caught Somewhere in time Prodigal Son Revelations Wicker Man Hallowed be Thy Name 7th Son of the 7th Son Nomad Let’s see how you did…
