This monitor cost $699 now during Black Friday special 2023. I was planning on getting a 32" OLED, but when I received this one the size is exactly what I was looking for. It is definitely a premium monitor, though it does not have any visible metal like the most expensive monitors.
@@TechTicals Yeah. The only thing I would look to replace my 342C is with a 382c or something. I look at these Nano IPS as alternative (If OLED is just too much a PITA) But, I will take next GEN Oled at 38". But, at the first sign of weakness on my current panel, I'll replace it with this DELL or the LG version.
Have you currently considered the 39" LG Ultrawide, or... Maybe even the 45" Ultrawide? Reason being both are OLED and 800r curve which redeced the need to tilt your head in the latter's case?
Their size is good, but i would stay away from them because of the lower resolution 3440 x 1440, that will mean you have to make things bigger and also it won’t look very sharp.
I like the size of the Alienware 38 better, it is wider, but not as tall as the Asus, and is also curved. but the Asus has the better panel, with updated ports, (HDMI 2.1) so depends which you prefer, but definitely don't buy the Alienware brand new, the price is ridiculous.
I have a 34 ips ultrawide at the moment but I would love to have a ultrawide 38 with this resolution but with oled. Do you think it's worth getting the extra resolution and size for the performance cost it takes to run the games? I guess you also did some research on if there will be an oled version of this in the future?
Doesnt look like there will be a 38 inch version anytime soon, it is the least popular size believe it or not, maybe because of the price. If you have the graphics card to support it then yes it is worth it.
This monitor is at $900 with a $200 Dell Promo eGift Card Included. Would you consider that a good price for somebody that mostly will use the monitor for productivity and only casual gaming?
It is definitely a good price, but I would suggest getting an OLED or Mini LED display if you can afford it. If you don't care about those, this monitor is perfect for you.
It’s obvious you don’t know what you’re talking about. Their pre-built desktops suck but their laptops are good and their monitors are incredible. They’re easily the best on the market besides maybe Samsung but that’s because Alienware uses Samsung panels.
