Lmaoo, u will get there. My sister attempted the pushup. Form is not 100% but if she can u can ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mTyTQeyJ0_M.html
It's the full range of motion. Most people (including myself when I was younger) do vanity push-ups that are only half the range of motion. If you go down so your chest touches the floor and all the way back up to your elbows lock, the push-up becomes a LOT harder, but you get a lot more out of it.
Indeed, no timewaisting, just the exact right amount of information explained in a simple and chronological way. Rare in the internet nowadays, contentcreators tend to make videos as long as possible
@@ikeijeoma9999 what's funny? All the points he stressed are standard bodyweight exercise secrets, especially the one about activating the scapula or shoulder blades in common parlance.
@@juan9353 Doing exercise at a late hour like this, at least my dad has told me that workout should be done as late as 7pm but I have not done any research myself.
I remember when I first saw this video. At the time I thought I was able to do 60 push-ups, turns out I could only do 27 perfect ones. This really made a difference in my training and I started doing everything a lot more seriously. Thanks a lot for this video calisthenicsmovement!
@@juanitofloreslapaz213 yeah lol you really feel weaker at first but i'm getting used to it. Hopefully one day you'll reach the numbers you were doing before watching this video!
- Pelvis: tilt pelvis forward and squeeze butt tight to avoid an arched back - Wrists: place wrists in a nearly vertical line under the shoulder for a standard pushup, you can target chest more by having a wider grip whereas a narrower one with target triceps more - Elbows: shouldn’t be flared out but should stay pointed backwards/diagonally - Range of motion: all the way up, all the way down - Keep body straight: don’t let your head go down or your hips go down - Shoulder blades: when you you down they move closer together and when you go up they move apart
Slight immature answer mate. U started 1 week ago, couldnt even do one but now can 25 so that means that u didnt lack the fitness but the technique to do so which triggered my short response bc ive been doing it for a week but irregularly and still cant do one properly, not to mention that im not fit anymore, lack the strength in every part of my body to push my 85kg weight
AlexGamer We did about 150 of those kinds of pushups once in Taekwondo because our instructor wanted us to learn the correct way to do push-ups. I still can’t do them right😂
I'm in Taekwondo (white belt, I just started) and we do 15-20 push ups at the end of every class. I couldn't do an effective one, because I made multiple of the mistakes this video showed. Thank you!
1. Squeeze your butt 2. Align arms with shoulders 3. All the way up, all the way down 4. Active shoulderblade movement GOT IT! *fails with first push-up*
I’m here, out of shape, and beginning a new workout routine to get in shape since I am volunteering for the local ski patrol. God bless whoever made this.
I’m always worried I’m doing it wrong, but this guide was super helpful in showing all the aspects of the push-up to perfect. Great content, and great work!
@@Lazy_.Lavender m doing wall push ups with right alignment and then slowly m reducing the elevation. I think it will help. I m trying to get used to the right alignment.
@@valiantgamingOG I came straight here from AthleanX because Jeff gets too technical. Sometimes you just want a precise overview of the whole exercise as opposed to how to tweak a specific fibre in the armpit. I think sometimes Jeff forgets the basics. This is a perfect video for what it is.
Literally. I was paying such a close attention to him when he does it, and imagining that I’m him doing the push-ups. I can feel through my imagination and by the visual that it’s not hard, but the reality hits differently.
Same here. I watched this and tried to do better, and I think I'm getting better form, but I came back and realized I'm still missing a few things. Also that pelvis turn... still trying to figure that out!
I love your through explanation of how to execute different types of push-ups. I love how you demonstrated the wrong posture and how to correct it. I highly recommend this video and can’t wait to do quality push-ups from now on.
Eddie G fixed my form still didn’t feel harder. I’m big so sit up are a pain in the ass how can I do 40 push-ups in a row with good form and can’t do more than 10 sit-ups I don’t understand
Oh snap! This video is like the moment which makes you realise how wrong you were for a good amount of your life. I used to do 3 sets of 25-20-10. And then i tried this. Man i really felt the tension in the first 10!! But am happy to learn this 🔥 Thanks!
Before i watched this video i could only do 10-15 push ups all the way up and all the way down after i watch this vid on how to do it properly i can firmly do 20-30 now thankyou
What do you people get out of saying such shit? No one has ever doubled thier max press ups by changing thier technique! Dumb shit is like saying you doubled your squat by changing technique! Where do you people come from.
This really was game changer for me, i was not feeling my chest during pushups but after following it, now i am able to feel it with every single push-ups
Just months ago I was struggling with push ups but I persisted and now I can do it easily. Trust me if I can do it then you can too. Keep working kings 👑
Lmaoo. Theirs differnt variations. Fast helps with constant blood pressure whilst slow and strady like these help keep the tension. Keep on practicing and u will get it. My sis attempted a lil pushup challenge Check it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mTyTQeyJ0_M.html
Thank you King. I went from 44 uncontrolled pushups to 20 controlled pushups, chest to ground on the way down and elbows locked on the way up. Appreciate it 👏
i started watching this since 2 months ago, and i can't even do a single push up due to my physical state, and now i can do 10 correct push ups, eventhough i'm lacking behind all of my friends, but i'm grateful enough that i finally can do it right. Edit : Now I'm at 45 pushups in a minute. Good luck guys! Thank you for your replies, and keep up the good work!
WOW this is one of the best exercise guides I've seen, incredibly clear easy-to-understand and concise! 0:46 the tip to maintain body tension by tilting pelvis backwards and squeezing butt helped me ALOT... pushups immediately became SIGNFICANTLY harder to do, precisely because i was ACTUALLY training my muscles the correct way! Ty for this golden advice, this will help me tons in the longrun 💯👍
Wistbacka I do Crossfit and my coach always says quality is the most important thing. She teaches the exact same things as this man told in the Video (sorry for my English)
1. Body position But szueeze 2. Arm position Wrists in the nearly vertical line Avoid outward elbows 3.range of motion Go all the way up and the way down 4. Shoulderblade movement
That's a good point, In army you do a lot of pushups. But funny enough there is not much about learning the proper technique, just hard work :D (should be smart work)
@@harethalomari8992 You mean the push ups which you lose all the muscle tension by going down super rapidly and going for quantity rather than quality? Good for PT test not good for actual fitness.
I watched this video a year ago being amazed of how you do it. Back then I couldn't even do knee push ups and was overweight. I started working out recently and can finally do a push up, this video helped me with the final steps of correcting my techinque. Thamk yoi
I dropped from 25 to 0 LOL . Welp, time to practice every alternative day and do it right. I'd much rather focus on quality over quantity. Wish me luck!
Exercising can get so hard sometimes but It always makes me feel better. Last year I had almost 300 lbs in body weight. One day I just started moving more, then slow running then I started doing weighted exercises and I was eating clean by following meal plan I got from Nextlevel Diet. Today I have 190 lbs and I am happy like I have never been in my life.
People in school alweys tell me that I'm weak, since I can do only like 10 push-ups and they do 20/30 then I start correcting them and they just say that I don't know what I'm doing. I sent them this video, they are not answering back
@@tidepods5506 I'd say you are right if it wasn't that I'm to shy to just go to people and tell them they are wrong, this was the first time I corrected them because i was getting pissed at them saying I'm weak Wille they aren't doing the exercise right
@@tidepods5506 of course, its much easier to send them a video since we have a school group then seeing them face to face, you know trught messagges it feel a lot less personal, or at least it helps me to speak up
This comment is my motivation. Have been trying to get in better shape and am now thrown the curve ball that I don’t know how to do a push up properly 😭😭
When I started applying the protraction or the shoulder blade especially at the top, it became so much harder. Yet in a few days I’ve seen so much results. Thanks for this tip. Quality is indeed better than quantity.
thank you i had the problems of my shoulders hurting ALOT when doing push ups and now i figured out that is has with body tension to do and now it doesnt hurt
