I bought an $8.00 USB charging desk fan from Walmart. It is so awesome. It helps me so much while I sit in my security office (2022 Bronco). I work 12 hours a day, hourlyish rounds. I love this job. I studied for a month and passed my private investigator state exam. I'm in the process of obtaining my "C" license. No other job will allow you to study so much while on the clock. Before becoming a COP, I worked in a Hospital ER. I loved the job, but there was seriously a ton of action. I finally found a great company and hope to stay here for a long time and grow with the company. Thanks for your video.

I do security in Las Vegas. I'm unarmed. I was originally was put at a relatively safe store. Unfortunately we lost that account and I was put at a 99 cent store where everyone that comes in looks like a crook. It was a bad area. Constant thieves coming in, people giving me shit because I was told to collect backpacks, and their was a line of homeless that were sitting right outside waiting for me to go on break. After 2 days I told my boss it was too much. I take the bus and on my way home I could get jumped. He understood, and eventually found me a better place. Now I don't have to do shit but stand in the air conditioning. I don't collect bags throw anyone out, or stop anyone. All I do is stand there. Even if I wanted to be brave they tell me no let it go. Occasionally we will get armed guards in as well who take care of the Rif RAF. The managers are cool as hell to it is really laid back. It feels to good to be true.

Department of Justice Security $45/hour, IRS $33/hour National Archives $33/hour, Department of Agriculture$28/ hour, ATF Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms and Explosive department $40/hour ( requirements= Secret clearance, score sheet of Glock 17, 12 gauge shotgun certification, FPS certification. Easy to work, good benefit, always over time and pay is good. To work for Gornment you need to have security clearance DHS, FPS or in some areas Special Police license with security clearance.

In California, they hire almost anyone even violent felons to be security guards, unlike being a mechanic which is a skilled trade that relies on your mechanical ability, the iob of being a security guard is based on what people think of you.

Ofcourse, nobody will hire an insecure security guard you have to be ready to throw down and if you have less than 200lbs who you are going to immobilize ? A woman or child only. Im not saying you have to be a hulk I know some small security guards that are monsters and can handle two three regular dudes that want to cause trouble but they usually posted with a bigger guard colleague as well

@@defcon3security782 Sounds like the farm you were at wasn't prepared for the threats that are created with it. It can be done properly to where you don't feel like you are putting your life on the line, every day.. Specifically on the farms, having a good team with clear communication is key. Being a security guard some times requires you to put your self in tough potentially dangerous situations, especially now with defunding of L.E.. I worked for a Mall in SF Bay Area, for couple years. That was cool. Then started working Cala Foods loss prevention in SF. That was very interesting and violent. Then went to Montgomery ward Oakland. Rockin and Robin. This was back when loss prevention still went hands on. Chase and fight. Then to Wienstocks Management in San Jose area. Doing employee theft. Ended up opening a company. Ups, comp usa, and apartments. Id g o back to loss prevention. Not uniformed. But to each his own. Thanks for giving me opportunity to share.

I appreciate the content brother. Good stuff as always, I know this video was a couple years ago and your last video was 5 months so sometime has past since then hope you’ve been well my brother and I don’t know if you happen to still be around but I was looking at getting into the Security field and just wanted to ask you a couple questions to see if you might have some information regarding that which I’d appreciate any help. I am in California currently looking to get some Security experience before I move to Colorado possibly in the beginning of the New Year. I know each state requires different certifications for Security. I am looking at starting as an unarmed Guard and then with some more experience getting into armed maybe. I just completed the initial state training here in California with the 8 hour online course, and then the state application and then the livescan fingerprints and finished all of that which was simple enough and now just waiting on the GuardCard approval process which could take some time before I am eligible to start working as a Security Guard. The application and training process was easy enough like I said earlier but the thing I am having difficulty on is deciding what is the best Security company to work for. I know it really comes down to your post assignments and what suits you best both location wise and what is involved at each post assignment and each one is different and suited to everyone differently I get that and finding the best post for yourself the thing that intimidates me slightly and I can’t decide just because of the vast options out there is how do you go about finding what is the best Security company to work for. When it comes to the larger corporate Security companies there are just so many of them out there in multiple different areas across the country, from AlliedUniversal, Securitas, GuardaWorld, Prosegur, G4S, Weiser, Paragon Systems, ADT, Brinks, Pinkerton, InterCon, Constellis, CSC USA, AmericanHawk, American Guard Services, National Security Protective Services, Guardsmark, Arcadia Security, and then a bunch of smaller more independently run Security companies but that list right off the top of my head is at least 18 different companies that are large to decently sized enough like 20 companies on top of the smaller lesser known Security companies out there that is a lot I have no idea how you go about picking a good Security company to work for and what even to look for, I’d appreciate it brother if you had any tips or ideas regarding that because that is really what I am stuck on deciding what companies to look into to work for. I’d appreciate any help on that brother, have a blessed rest of your day my man, God Bless-Andrew.

Ok I declined the Job with another company because it was 50 minutes away and I would guard in my car,but it was full time and a extra dollar in hourly pay, and went with another company that have a guard shack that’s 20 minutes away But it’s part time I will have to wait till someone quit or get fired because I didn’t want to do the drive daily or sit in the cold in my car, they don’t pay for gas and also I’m unarmed ,so I don’t make a lot like a armed guard it wasn’t worth it,it’s a waiting game for me but I’d rather be happy then quit
