🇯🇵Fujikawaguchiko Day 6 & Gotemba Day 7📍Lake Kawaguchiko, Fiji Omuro Sengen-jinja Shrine, Fugaku Wind Cave & Yeti Ski Resort🎿
My Top Tips:
❗️We went to Yeti Ski Resort so we could ski whilst in Japan, plus we got to enjoy a view of Mt Fuji while doing it. As we visited in March 2023, the ski season was finished. Luckily for us, Yeti has artificial snow which means they can operate for a longer period, so we were fortunate to experience our ski day. We paid for a beginners ski lesson which was fantastic. We were the only people in the afternoon lesson which meant we had lots of instructional time. I think we did great for beginners! We even got to some some intermediate lessons.
❗️There was no direct train from Fujikawaguchiko to Gotemba so we had to take some local buses with our large suitcases. To ensure a smooth journey, we got the first bus before the rush. Lots of tourists travel from Fujikawaguchiko to Gotemba to go to the premium outlets which means buses can be very congested.
❗️Yeti cost: We paid just under $140 AUD per person for an entry ticket, skis, pole and boots rental and ski clothing. We brought our own ski goggles gloves and hats from Australia. You can purchase them at the shop, but they are pricey.
❗️To get to Yeti, you can drive and park there or get the JR bus. Yeti has the bus schedule from Gotemba Station to Yeti Ski Resort on their website.
