Why I subscribed: 1) High-quality videos and clear sound with nice background music sound 2) You not only show but also EXPLAIN why you should do or avoid something 3) You're always very detailed (for instance, grip, position, rep speed, etc.) 4) 3:27
We can't thank you enough for the quality of the information given in your videos (and especially this one). Thank you for what you give. Educating people like you do is the greatest gift...
Wow. There are a lot of squat tutorials out there. The fact that you took something done to death and made one of the best version I have ever seen... People need to share this. Well done.
I'm learning so much valuable info from your videos. I'll be 43 yrs old in May and the coaching and tips on this channel are going to help me tremendously. You guys are freaking animals! Thanks for the excellent content!
@@muscledoggs566 my researched is based on the training i received by professionals when i was playing "college football". I have no opinion of my own if your trying to body build then ok, but look at all the injuries they receive in the long run.
Granted, I'm old (75) and have been sitting for most of my life. But, I started lfting again about seven years ago. As I try to correct my form flaws, I've found that I just cannot squat down with a wide stance as shown in this video. I guess my inner thigh muscles have atrophied and shrunken. I've never been able to do a side split on the floor even when young. Or, have a decently high side kick. But, I'll keep working and nudging my hip joints and tight muscles to try and regain some of my lost flexibility.
Man! Your videos are always very informative and thoroughly details, explained from different dimensional according to sports, Injuries, individual anatomy etc. Very very inspiring videos! Thanks for sharing such information with the general public. Fitness industry need more coaches and trainers like you. 👏👏👏
Cj Iscool I've been working out for quite some time, and this seems like a pretty good one to me. But please feel free to make your point, I aways appreciate good advice.
Easialy the best squat video ive seen, perfect for beginners or if your looking for a few extra pointers, this is the first video ive watched and now im subscribing.
I really liked the fact that you brought someone else to show us the weighted squats .you could have explained that yourself but you did it anyway to give us the best possible advice ! Thank you sir
I've been researching squats now for a few days, tooks notes on 20+ videoes (Athlean X, Eliott Hulse and so on) and this video gave me more information than their 3 hours of content combined. Hats off, you've earned my sub.
This has to be by far one of the best videos on the subject. What an awesome work guys! I specifically enjoyed the feet position part, because I always felt anatomically that a little far apart and the feet pointing outward is the most confortable squat position. Ass to the grass all the way! That's surely some evolutionary inherited primate anatomy shit going around LOL El Eggs Daniel Ebert you guys rock!
What a perfect timing! After almost a year of only calisthenics, I started doing barbell squats last week! Happy to see you guys talking about it! Nice vid as always, by the way.
Came here from a link from everydamdayfitness (sorry if my spelling is wrong) this is a great video, best squat video ive seen by far. I am new to your channel, have you done a video on the squat machine ? I think it's called a Smith machine. Are they any good ?
But honestly, he barely looks like he even lifts. I'd rather look like the bodybuilders that don't do squats "properly" than this dude. His legs are the only thing on his body that look big, and that's just because the rest of his body is so small and feminine.
The Cereal Guy That has nothing to do with it, all I know is that I'm natural and I'm bigger than this guy after just 2 years of lifting, so obviously he's doing something wrong. Why would I take lifting advice from someone smaller than me, that just logically doesn't make sense.
DerpMode because thats genetics not that he is doing something wrong thats just a falacy he is a physiotherapist and degree in sports science now everyone is big in youtube you are probably a perma bulker who thinks fat squals muscle and his tiny brains thinks the whole world goes only around bodybuilding
That's because bulking works, do you not bulk? Bulking for 80% of the year works for me so I'm gonna keep doing it. Genetics doesn't determine your muscles mass, only the shape and where the insertions are. Everyone grows because of the work they do and how they eat/sleep, Ronnie Coleman wasn't a giant 60lbs infant when he was born, he was just like everyone else. Why don't you try out different ways and see what works and what doesn't instead of calling me gay and stupid?
I have seen several hundred squat videos over many years and this is one of the highest standard squat videos I have seen. Proof that number of views and subscriptions is not a good indicator of quality.
Thank you so much for always providing high quality content of calisthenic movements. I learn and improve so much in just 1 week by doing the exercises you provided. Best of luck to Sven and El Eggs.
Hi. I dont have the mobility in my ankles to get them past my knees. Therefore my back is rounding when i Squat all the Way Down. Any videos about ankle-mobility-excercises?
I Love this channel. Started watching when I used to do calisthenics. It helped me so much. And now you have very good videos about weighted training. You guys are awesome. Freundliche Grüsse aus Brasilien.
well, if European champion Daniel Ebert does it.. i still prefer to only let go of my air in the top end of my lift (my physical therapist, a femaile crossfitter, got me started squatting to strengthen my weak and thus often sore back)
Ivo Kraaier he can do that because he can squat much more than 150kg. When I started I needed the valsalva maneuver even at 80kg. Now I can squat properly without bracing but need to brace at 130kg. It's all about overall strength. At maxes a proper Valsalva maneuver is needed.
Tanirhum. I thought the Valsalva Maneuver was supposed to be avoided at all cost during any exercise. It can put an unnecessary strain to the heart and increase internal blood pressure ( cause anurism or pop blood vessels)
Your videos are always so well done! Very informative, but I love that you're always demonstrating something, and not just standing there, yelling into the camera in an echoey gym.
Just purchased one of your programs for advanced callisthenics on your website! I haven't started it yet so I don't know how well it will work but the organisation of your content is immaculate. Most fitness training channels I have come across just lack the clarity of instruction and depth of knowledge that you guys demonstrate is possible to achieve with careful planning. I wanted to leave this comment to let you know how much good organisation is appreciated!
Calisthenicmovement Danke für eure Videos die mich dazu gebracht habe mit Calisthenics anzufange und mich motiviert haben. Freu mich schon auf das nächste Video :-D lg aus Wien
Squating depth... no one can agree on it. Everyone says different things. Words I found while researching this topic by world-renowned spine expert Stuart McGill: “The risk is greater than is justified by the reward. No one is going to give you an extra million dollars for squatting deeper. If you need to do that for competition, then that’s one thing. But if your objective is health, then it’s pretty hard to justify.”
Ok! I came here because of Every Damn Day Fitness and damnni wish I'd found this sooner! I watched this video and am now off to the gym to put all of this into action to see how I can implement this info!! Thank you so much for the video and I will be happily watching from now on aswell as going through past videos!!
Hi Great tutorial - really does explain a lot however I have one key problem and that is ankle flexibility. Do you have a video on this or can you make one on improving flexibility in the ankle? Id even pay you to do it haha, ive had to stop squatting because my form became terrible because of it :(
TheDarkSide243 I had the same issue. Wrap a band below your ankles and a post, then kneel down and move knee forward. Make sure the band is below the ankles as this pushes your talus bone back while you are stretching. This has fixed my ankle tightness.
