What do you make of the DRAPE CUT? Would you wear it? Let’s discuss … PROFF
@anthonyeasterling983
@anthonyeasterling983 11 месяцев назад
Yes I would as a matter of fact. I think the drape cut gives a man that look of Royal Intellect. The cut can be tailored to fit the man who needs it .

I will wear the drape cut when I am older. I think it’s the pinnacle of classic men’s wear, but I have to work up to it. I would feel out of place if I transitioned to drape cut right now.

@@anthonyeasterling983 Very well put Anthony. There is quite a bit of room for individuality in the Drape Cut. For instance some may prefer their trousers slightly narrow. Or coat cut a bit closer to the body. But the FULL DRAPE is unmatched both in elegance and comfort. PROFF

@@AskOkeyIncI agree I brought a full tuxedo that was dated 1933 and honestly for rather a while I kept standing up and down because I actually couldn’t believe such a pair of trousers could be so comfortable it was cut for braces and was a high waisted pair of trousers which was 2” higher I’ve had made to measure and bespoke clothing before where i have trousers that are so comfortable I had to check i didn’t walk out in my pyjamas but drape cut trousers is a different experience.. that suit changed everything. It also told me all my suits need to be braces and high waisted because not only was the comfortability unmatched I noticed my shirt was never untucked either due to it being high waisted which saved a lot of time during the day instead of keep trucking in my shirt. Also back in the gold age of dressing shirts were way longer and would go past the gentleman’s waist this was due to shirts being undergarments in the early 20th century but still in the 30s and 40s the shirts were still long due to them realising the longer the shirt is the less it untucks itself theres a lot of things that modern day tailors can learn from because back then they just did it right a great testament that will make you never go back the normal off the rack clothes or casual wear and go to tailoring and truly appreciate it is the longevity of the garments I know people who’s had the same overcoat since the 70s and the greatest example is how I can purchase a suit from 1933 and still wear it go to gucci or any other of them fast fashion or casual brands and see if they can last a few years without some wear when you know your clothes can last a lifetime you appreciate it more that’s the greatest thing about tailoring and formal wear not only does it allow the individual to pick out exactly how they want it from start to fashion and allows the individual to be creative the individual can also rest assure it will last a lifetime too I’m sorry but there’s no other set of clothing but formal wear that does such things and ticks all boxes

You do have a brilliant way of speaking, agreed. One small thing, which I mention because I imagine you would want to know. Review your pronunciation of hyperbole. The credit for the Duke of Windsor's Stylish Wardrobe🎩👔👞has to go to his Dutch Master Tailor📐✏ Frederick Sholte, of course! The famous Menswear expert Bruce Boyer talks about this in his classic hard to find book📒 " Emminately Suitable" Scholte is considered by some to have been a genious and claimed to have been inspired by the British Officers💂Military Dress Coats, which became the patterned Prototype for the "Drape" or "Blade" Cut!

ABSOLUTELY WELL SAID Angelo I’ve often said the same in several of my tutorials. The STRUCTURED CUT and more especially THE DRAPE CUT is inspired by REGIMENTAL DRESS. And there’s a reason they used STRUCTURE to BUILD UP THE MAN I just don’t get this modern trend of “SOFT UNSTRUCTURED TAILORING” Most men aren’t BUILT FOR IT PROFF
