This documentary isn't talking about the 'vagina.' It's talking about the 'vulvar.' The vagina is the hollow muscular tube that extends from the vulvar to the cervix aka the 'birth canal.' The vulvar consists of the clitoris, labia minora under which can be found the urethral meatus (where urine passes from). Below this is the vaginal opening, the perineum and then the anus. They're talking about the vulvar NOT the vagina here.

When I was young, everyone had hair and no one cared about all this detail. No one cared during the summer of love - and everyone went naked at swimming holes and they didn't compare or give a care either way.

Maybe it's different in England. This narrator is misusing the word vagina. She has NO BUSINESS asking if kids know the right words. SHE doesn't even know the right words for the vagina vs. the labia. My parents were born in the 30s and spoke very openly about everything. They embraced the hippie ethos though, because they had much younger siblings. I think porn has ruined normal life for the S and the City generation and forward.

Indeed. I had breast implants out in and that really reduced nipple sensitivity.. which was a shame. I would never get surgery to my vulva/vagina as I appreciate the sensitivity. And what’s the point of a tight and neat vagina/vulva when they will likely have multiple children via vaginal birth and ruin it all? Seems pointless

@@whitneyanders5945 and I lost about 80% sensitivity from my nips down to my scars below my breasts bc I had them placed from Underneath to go under the muscle. It got better with time but still I'd say it starts at the scar line and gets better as it goes up so my nips have now about 25% sensitivity at the scar line and it gets better as it goes up and once it reaches my nips I'd say I have regained to about 75% sensitivity. Which my doc says is pretty good for my type of surgery. But still sucks. But been considering getting them pierced and I bet it will barely hurt heh.
I have a grandson who is uncircumcised. His cousin is circumcised. They are aged 6. When we were outside changing for swimming the circumcised one was making comments on the other one. I just said we're all different and it's okay

This really sucks!!! The last time i watched this only the surgery parts were blurred and stuff! But, you could clearly see the sculpture the guy made as well as text book stuff or whatever and to be honest it literally stopped me from getting my own surgery done...or at least putting it off longer!! The labia needs to be able to stretch enough to allow a baby to be born. So, if part of it is removed will there still be enough skin to stretch enough? Also, I can't imagine any guy refusing sensual pleasure because of "ugly bits". This is absolutely insane!
Gawd. losing my virginity the first time around was painful enough, I wouldn't want to go through it again. But I understand that in some cultures they must have their hymen repaired if they have lost it before marriage. In some Muslim countries the bride is given a special sheet for her wedding night. The next morning it is displayed from her inlaws front windows for all the neighbours to see the bloodstain, which proves the bride is "a good girl" and respectable. The consequences of not being able to prove virginity are unthinkable.

Even why I was young, I never understood why other women were willing to sacrifice feeling clean and dry for waxing (or worse, shaving). The pain, damp and insane itching just to look like a child made me resentful if a partner suggested it "for a treat". I gave it a whirl and put up feeling dirty and damp until my meager hair grew back but after that it was a firm no. This was very interesting. Things like that really are like windows into people's minds, I always enjoy that. Sure, I do have preferences when it comes to women, for example, I really like women with dark eyes, dark hair and sort of caramel colour skin but most women I have been with during my life had blond, red or light brown hair, often had blue or green eyes and very light skin. At no point did it seem a problem in my mind, they were someone I enjoyed being with and for me how they looked was part of who they are, it never even crossed my mind that they should get their noses, lips or genitals surgically modified. I had a girlfriend long ago, she had a bit of a nose like a hawk beak, I thought it was great and that it was part of her charms but some people around me who ended up meeting her could not help themselves and mention to me that she had quite a nose (not said in a complimenting way). Sometimes I feel sad when I look at someone that's had many plastic surgeries on their faces thinking they won't look their age, some to the point of looking like some performers in some circus freak show on the 19th century. Few years back some guy I knew told me he was taking a week vacation to go away somewhere so her wife could have her labia reduced. At the time, it was the first I had heard of that being done. He told me that he didn't want to pleasure his wife orally because he found it all disgusting, she must have felt pressured, checked the internet to find somewhere to get the procedure done. I was a bit shocked at the time. Lets just say that this person who was an acquaintance, never became more than that and now we talk on Facebook once in a blue moon. Anyways, very cool documentary. Now, he did do a vital kind of surgery - for SA survivors whobwere profoundly destroyed and needed literal reconstruction. That was the most horrifying and sad thing ever.
I've heard of the hymen restoration, which is ridiculous ! At 8, I lost mine to a fall on a fence. My mom was an RN & was more concerned with internal damage. That's the last time even she saw "it" ! Figured my Ob-Gyn would tell me if anything was amiss & I've had no complaints !

The blurring is annoying and giving me a headache. It never occurred to me to change a private part of my body to please someone else. After 3 children and 43 years of marriage I’m just fine. Although if I was disfigured that’s different.

Women really have to ask themselves why they feel they need these surgeries. Whether it is a bbl, breast augmentation, rejuvenation, botox, face lifts etc. Changing the size in sexual organs, the color etc. I feel this is very sad that people are willing to lay down there lives all to achieve what God did not create. Your life is not to please the men of society. You were made for God and if he chose a mate for you, and it is in his will for you to get married. May you only desire the favor of your husband and may he accept you as you are. At some point we have to stop blaming society and take a deep look at how insecurity unchecked results in people taking extreme measures to feel worthy in the sight of others and to accept themselves. Most girls in puberty are insecure about their bodies, this is part of becomming a woman, and is normal because your body is going through major changes and your hormones are changing. Tinkering with a child's body during this period for cosmetic purposes should be a punishable offense. We should get more sence over the years but it just gets more sad
24:49 I can understand wanting to have surgery here. At first glance to my male brain it was automatically off putting. I think the conditioning of watching porn when younger contributed to my automatic feeling of attractive or not attractive. In all porn that I watched no vaginal lips were so over-sized. Now if I never saw one before and it was my first experience I would most likely have found it attractive as a young man full of testosterone.
