I just tried this recipe it was incredible! I have been wanting a French toast recipe since being vegan & this blew me away! If you are a French toast enthusiast this recipe is a must try! You may even fool some nonvegans!
Hi Candice, great the way you make your recipes vegan. Which I would like to see is: gypsy snitzel. I used to always eat these when I came to Germany, I loved the Ziegeunersauce and the sntizel. Nowhere else could you eat such a good snitzel as in Germany so it would be great if you could make this vegan for me.
That bread looks sooooo fluffy!!!!! "I don't want to hear about how bad it is for me, I already know!" BAHAHHA, same. I'm about to pour sugar all over this, I don't care about the bread. K. Thx. Bye
I LOOOVED french toast as a kid so I am pretty much sure I will love this recipe :D However, I feel so weird about adding the nooch and black salt into such a sweet recipe XD Especially considering my mum used to make these with leftover hallah which is definitely sweet and decadent :D . Anyways, sending you lots of love! Hope you're staying safe and having a great week!
Candace, did you color your hair, or did you go to a salon? If you did it, what is the brand and color? I’ve been craving French toast, so this may have hit the spot. Do you have any recipes in mind to make that use pumpkin? While I think pumpkin is a year round thing, others think it’s just for fall season. I drink pumpkin coffee, chai tea, which tastes like pumpkin. Maybe pumpkin cookies, with a pumpkin spice cream cheese frosting, or spice cookies, maybe using spice cake box mix, and a pumpkin frosting?
Candace I don’t know if you remember, but I made a comment about zucchini fritters. I wasn’t trying to take away from what you were offering. I respect you as a vegan inspiration, I just have a quirky sense of humor. I meant no offense. You’re awesome and I love you ❤️.
French toast with ketchup and syrup is the way to go 😛 Don’t even tell me that it’s wrong because my British Nana taught all the family to eat it like that 🤣
Just read the ingredients, some margarines have whey, or milk byproducts. Some don’t. If you see an ingredient you don’t know what it is, google it. It’s kind of a pain. When a product says Vegan, you already know. But a few margarines are vegan, must have whey.
Do you think these could be meal prepped in advance? If so, how would you? I like meal prepping waffles (Tho french toast is my fave) and then popping them in the air fryer.
Yup....just went to Whole Foods in Denver, Colorado. Kind of buzzed....they were actually grouchy about your ingredients. Found a "kind" girl so got most! French Toast party tonight. Btw...my 14yr old wants to move to Canada. Besides stress, and high crime rates, can you advise? We love you!!
I do not like oatmeal. I like taking a cholesterol pill even less. I need a way to eat oats that goes beyond just boiling it until it's sludge then drowned it in butter and brown sugar. It doesn't matter how you flavor it, I just can't swallow oat sludge. Please help. ❤
what about making black bean burgers with oats to help them stick together? or i’ve made a “meatloaf” the same way. you can also make cheese sauces using oats instead of like cashews or whatever was supposed to make it creamy. OR blending bananas with oats and a little plant milk, you can make a nice “pancake” batter. i use oats a lot and don’t care for oatmeal either. wishing you health and happiness!
Great presentation, but I am intolerant of all soy except maybe tamari, keeps me from being 100% vegan unfortunately. And it`s not just soy....being vegan with IBS is almost mission impossible because you`re always hunting for that scrap of protein your gut can handle.
