because of that they have shitty sale and must paused production of EV junk vehicles !! this all car maker companies get billions of tax payers money and they still charge this shitty EVs so much that only rich and high class can afford them even they too have them as third or fourth car or for shoppping in city
The pricing of all cars is nuts now. The only way people buy them is on finance now. It’s not the price, it’s the monthly payment seems to be the way they advertise them
Yeah. VW used to be a cheap car brand. But now they’ve tried to enter the more luxurious market. Which makes no sense at all when they have Audi, Porsche and Bentley. Sure they don’t have a minivan but still.
@@toyotaprius79Nah, has nothing do with it but the increased price of all types of energy sources which incrased inflation and expenses in all areas. So you can't blame VW one bit but those who made Germany break up economic ties with Russia and those that blew up the gas pipeline. So we in Europe got double f.ed...

Haven't even watched this video all the way through yet but I'm laughing my head off at the bonging noise when you sit down! "Dad! Can you do that again?" the children will say! Good to see the German sense of humour. Hello from the UK. I will continue watching and looking forward to more ausgezeichnet video content :)
the reality is even with that stupid high price, they lose money in every one they sell. VW really dropped the ball when they decided to ride the diesel wave after the dieselgate, if they had took Tesla serious and developed proper EV platforms they would not be in this sad state, the worst software and the worst value for money in EV
Having such a short frontal area means much less shock absorption capacity, resulting in a dramatically reduced passenger protection. Same for the third row seat passengers. A few years ago I was driving my Golf GTI on a highway and there was a sudden traffic slow down and I was rear ended by a big sedan and I'm happy I had no one on the back seats because the rear bumper was literally against the back of my seat. Had I had rear passengers, they would have been crushed to death.
Round lights 2+1 front row seating 3 row seating in Short Wheel Base (8 seater) Sub €40,000 entry level price If VW think a tarted up vanity project is perfect, then no wonder their ambitions are not being met
I know.. but people would say "look its a Porsche 911 van" and make fun of Porsche 911s. Also there are no models with round headlights in VW line up anymore.

Totally agree about the lights Thomas, I’m genuinely impressed with the functionality of that vehicle! Great review
Nice van and I enjoyed the review. Let's hope the prices of EVs come out of the stratosphere soon. Getting people into them will convert many to electric propulsion. One of these with a real world 200+ mile range would be a good start.
The prices are still a little mad. The e-berlingo is £29-33k so almost half the price with a 200(160) mile range. The buzz is pretty but Vw are really bad value
Great stop advertising it in America and sell it. Make sure dealers don't mark them up over $10,000 above sticker either. Enough talk and time to come through. The Electrify America has been a joke also. Let's Go. Southern CA people love these and want them now.
We have a non-GTX short Buzz, and are happy with most features on it, including the lights. Functional lights are important during Nordic winters, so I would not want retro styling that compromises safety. The towing capacity of the GTX short version = 1800 kg is now almost up to the capacity of our Citroën Evasion = 1900 kg.
perfect for weekend trips to alps or mediterranean... I still hoped GTX would have a bit more upscale interior than it is, for the normal versions yes, it/s perfectly fine utilitarian choice of materials and assembly in general, but on GTX especially with two-tone exterior I/d love to see that level of sportiness that it already is, but bit better in terms of overall coverage with upper scale materials
I also wish they had the rounded headlights. But I wish they had brought a few of the features from their California over like the rail system for the seats to make layout a bit more configurable.
avery cool car, but 400 km range is not so much and its very expensive ofcourse. and I wish the vw ID models would have a panoramic roof that you can open. thats something I need in my car.
Give us Porsche houndstooth fabric or hatched fabric from the older gti. Also would be great to upgrade the tray table to premium build with rear heated and massage seats. They should also allow you to build your own interior by selling components that clip into floor tracks. People could custom order their interiors components.
Saw the buzz in a camping show in Melbourne, love the form factor, but...VW don't get it, the mass market want cheap transport, legacy auto spending dollars on maintaining branding to attract brand loyalists is ok but ultimately the product tech is mediocre and price is poor value. EVs are such a radical change that even brand loyalists are looking around to compare the tech...
Finally enough horsepower to be of some interest. Its just so disappointing that the sunroof doesn't open for ventilation. That's one of the most important aspect of the retro bus. In fact, VW my have been the carmaker that introduced it, or at least popularized it.
Agree with wanting more rounded lights, but liking the GTX specs. I am excited about seeing more reviews on this model but I am afraid that this thing is going to be like 80k in the US...
Thanks for a great review. With the new updated software with pre-heating of the battery is there also a better solution for keeping the heating on for longer time than 30min? I.e. for camper / dog mode?
@@markbennett6658 Keep the sporty looks get better performance & better range then give me a call when prices come back from the stratosphere. Or keep the price and line it with luxury.
My grandfather had a 50-hp VW van in California in the early 1960s. I wanted to feel nostalgia for this new one. But VW has been replaced by innovative vehicles that did not exist then, such as dedicated camper vans from Fiat/Ram on one hand, and three row Kia minivans or SUVs on the other.
I like the 2 tone color combo looks really Nice end retro but futuristic at same time i would love to have this GTX version or any version but i can't afford it 😢😓😩 lol Nice fart music 😂
Too small inside the head room is very low due to the thick floor , you can’t fit an 8x4 ‘ in it , real range is poor. Looks great but the sub version in the uk is already heavily discounted due to bad sales. Vw have lost the plot
UNFORTUNATELY, the driver's ergonomics are still at the same level as in the original Kleinbus from the 60s... i.e. the seat and steering wheel adjustments are still too limited in 2024....
I wanted to buy the ID Buzz so badly when it launched but the extremely short (real) range/small battery and high price just killed any enthusiasm... and the worst thing was that god awful i infotainment and steering wheel commands. If it was cheaper and had a bigger battery they'd would sell millions
The problem I see here is that people who wants a minivan are to be able to do long trips...and with the range on this a long trip will become a lot longer
Hallo Thomas! Another great Review, nice work! Regarding your question, there is definitely a more spacious van with the same length as the LWB version, it is the V Klasse Kompact (or also the EQV i guess) with 4,90m in length. Between these 2 I would still probably go for the V klasse kompact. But regarding the SWB of the ID buzz, that is something unique since you do not have many options of this shorter length (4,7m) in the van segment. This is a great option for families living in the city like me (in Germany). Unfortunately though I am not ready for full electric yet but if there was something like the Buzz SWB as a hybrid I would buy it straight away.
looks nice but the prize for this edition will be a finanzial desaster - I've driven the ID Buzz & the T7 Multivan, it's a big deillusion - too much tec will end in early recycle ...... I'm into VW & Audi for over 2 decades - these toy like cars end my love to this brand - so long.
Why do they put hard plastic on the doors? Even my 2017 Golf has soft touch on the front doors and dashboard. It really matters in the "quality feeling" of the car. The entire VW ID lineup feels cheap. VW is destroying their own reputation in markets where they only sell ID models, like Norway.
Hard plastic is both cheaper and more durable than soft touch materials. So they make more money. Unless your question was rhetorical, in which case ignore my officious offering.
