If I had a big family this would 100% be the car I'd want to have. Sidenote, I was driving through a retail park car park in Naas a couple weeks ago and there was a guy taking pictures of his new Buzz (SWB version) and he looked so incredibly happy taking the photos and sending them on, it was such a pure moment I felt so happy for him because I'd be the exact same.
As a Tesla driver I have to say this is hands down the most feel good ev out there and nothing comes close. Your holiday starts with stepping into the car if you have an Id buzz. The intense positive feeling of happiness is so nice that it compensates for every other downside the buzz might have.
much better than the previously version. Though I wish VW had installed their seat concept from the Sharan/Alhambra with three individual seats in the middle row. And leather. And a 15 kWh larger battery. And head pump as standard without having to sacrifice other creature comforts for it..
Nice review Mark, delighted to observe that VW has provided 2 lights in the tailgate when raised to illuminate the load area, why do all manufacturers not include this in their models, seems pretty basic accessory to me ???
Wonder will it depreciate like the current one? Like the practicality but given the inevitable extortionate price and the fact current ones are dropping value like a stone, you'd be better to wait and pick up a 2 or 3 year old one.
Where do you find the Buzzes that have dropped like a stone in value? I hoped they would, but around here they are still ridiculously expensive even as 2 year olds.
I so freaking love this. Is software still crashing every 30 minutes though ? Very impressed by the roof and space inside. This makes me so eager to see a Tesla Cybervan, more powerful, more efficient and more reliable with zero maintenance and access to the Tesla network of superchargers. Thank you for the video.
The small wheel base starts at 68.000€ where I live ... it's just so frikin expensive. The price of this long wheel base will even more insane, but that's just VW I guess. Love the car though, would love to have one.
I heard the ID Buzz is coming with a smaller 53-ish kWh battery. Hopefully LFP. Hopefully with at least 3mi/kWh at 60-80mph. Hopefully with 15"/16" alloy-steel wheels and efficient tyres. Hopefully with Heat pump as standard Hopefully with a front 2+1 bench Hopefully with a 3rd row in SWB Hopefully with a fabric canopy or 23 resin window option Hopefully with a less tech-laden more analogue option. Hopefully all that with a base price similar to the ID.4 Hopefully VW has gotten its act together, because after several years of hype and BUZZ as a big let down nothing similar to the Type2. A chronically posh class of car. Like as if the Honda E were a seven seater, all it'll need are mirror less doors with all the pretentiousness and lack of practicality, efficiency and affordability. A base version, tech-detox 8 seater SWB ID BUZZ should not be impossible
I would have been happy to have the five seat version but I didn’t like how far forward the second row was, if that had been able to slide rearward like the seven seat one does I’d probably have ordered one
Nice review. Love the look of it but my kids know all want their own cars to drive. Btw is there a way to buy you a coffee as a way of appreciation for the excellent reviews on your channel?
Amazing job VW, Toyota has been doing this for over 20 years with the Estima and Alphard/Vellfire which have more features and are far better designed!
Original ID Buzz was a cool looking vehicle but always thought should have 7 seat capability and rear windows not opening was not good. New version much more practical and will appeal to lot more people who want 7-seats in a vehicle that shape/size.
Does it have streaming now during charging? That is one feature I particularly liked on my Tesla‘s. And it‘s putting me off to get other brands. The sales people look at you like an alien if you ask them about it.
Not sure how you would fit a 500 KWh battery pack on an 18 wheeler let alone on the Buzz. Apparently they have filled as much space as possible within the wheelbase and that’s why the battery is 86 KWh max.
Do you regularly drive 1000km in one go? You don’t need that range you just top up everytime you stop for a coffee or when you get home, my ID buzz with circa 230 miles works fine.
I'm hearing last 2 years how it is fantastic car, and soon will be on the USA market. Time is going and no sales are provided by Volkswagen yet. Is something wrong, or your chanesse factories didn't make sufficient production?
@@haukionkannelwhere? We’ve received zero Info on them except for what the model trims will be. No range numbers, no price, no estimated delivery dates
@@ImmortalMachine In comparison… It is WW… small WW 4 seater city EV cost €50000 so this is actually only €10000 more expensive and if you take normal WW family 5 seat family car… it will be about 60000€ so about the same price as this! European cars just in general are expensive and WW follow the suite.
@@ImmortalMachine Yeah! But it seems that those prices still are many, many years in future… Maybe newer, who knows. There are some sub 30000€ EVs coming to the market, but those are really small cars. Tesla 2 has been delayed many times and so on.
