I was at the local mall and looking at some key fobs in a kiosk and a young girl came up to me and asked me something. At first I was confused because I thought she worked there. I asked her in Visaya if she worked there. No. She was asking me to buy her a fob. What the heck. 4 years here and that was so crass. I told her no, I’m married.

Most Asian people don't say I LOVE YOU openly. They show it more than they say it. If you say I love you 20 times a day but don't show it, then it has no meaning. I guess it depends on the Asian's life experiences.

Question about 🇺🇸 want an relationship with an Filipino , my cousin met an Filipina lady online He's secretive & I never met my half-Filipino cousin neither don't know his mother . My cousin don't come around family as He used too. If an 🇺🇸 marrying an Filipino if the wedding in The Philippines do they have to everything before getting married like a visa, birth certificate??

i said i would not do the online thing and i havent. however. i did stumble across a nice philipina on facebook and said hello. she is 46 and a widow. have been talking with her. also her 18 yr old daughter who speaks better english. she has her own home with a sari sari store. a car and more. have seen it all on live chat. she gave me a tour of her home. i think this is very legit. i dont know where this is going but i dont see any red flags yet. she lives in nueva ecija. daughter in colledge. i think i got lucky first time. your thoughts?

The woman used the term "mature" so much but I think it's a very inappropriate term to use in comparing the Filipinas in the province vs Filipinas from the City. It's like insinuating that woman in the province are immature. You just ruined their reputation in the eyes of the foreigners.

Money is everything.even she don't ask money, it is better to give her some. I like David's 2 tests. I think the biggest threat to western men in Asia, is western men themselves. We bring our biases and ways of thinking that are in many ways incompatible with other cultures. All we have to do is be open minded, flexible, and know when to say NO. I also agree that we shouldn't try to change Filipinas but just find the one we feel more compatible with. I feel these things will allow us to have more fun time there.

I 100% agree with David when he said he should adapt to the Philippine culture. For over 30 years I lived in Japan and I had only Japanese friends who did not speak English. If they came to America I would hope they would only speak English. Gio I would like to see you do a video where you would speak to a Filipina only in her language. That would be awesome. Especially for first dates, I recommend NOT taking the Filipina to high end western restaurants - they are out of their comfort zone. The Filipina's I've dated are more at ease in local eateries.

My girls never has asked for money, it’s such a turn off. The jealousy thing is born sometimes out of past experiences…plus single Filipina’s will look to scale up if your a catch. Huh! I'm Filipina but never like to be late for anything especially work. However, I grew up in the US (SoCal) and had been living here since I was eleven years old! Btw, I think most of us (Filipinas), as she mentioned, show our love in actions, and words come later. Love for me is actions, not words since I feel that westerners use the “I love you” loosely, and most of the time, they can't back it up in actions! I agree with what is said here. And the warning to Filipinas about asking for money. Especially when getting acquainted with a man online, NEVER ask for money. You risk your man never talking with you again. You MAY explain that you need money. But mention that twice and you risk the man never talking with you again. WAIT until you meet. Then you can SHOW your need for money. Your chances will always improve as your relationship grows.
