Did you know that the Philippines attempted to invade Malaysia? But it backfired and it ended up with decades of rebellions and conflict in the Philippines! What exactly happened?
What is the Jabidah Massacre? Is it a hoax? Fake news?
On March 18, 1968, a group of young Muslim men were massacred by the Philippine Army to cover up a failed plan to invade Sabah in what is now Malaysia. This became one of the main catalysts to the armed struggle and conflict in Sulu and Mindanao.

@@KirbyAraullo , tbh with you I have a hard time believing this as I'am a Marcos supporter. But as long as it's been recorded in the history it is not refutable. Somehow when I look back during Marcos reign there are alot of unsolved cases even today. Maybe it was Marcos suppression of the news or someone is looking to instigate a riot against Marcos. What are your thoughts about this especially in Jabidah Massacre ? (Even tho this video is not about politics, I just have an urge to relate this to my current political beliefs) As a request sa napaka raming projects mo dito sa iyong youtube channel pwede bang ipatuloy mo itong klase na video during Marcos Reign. I can see that if only the British people were just honest and caring about their subordinates (as they might refer to the conquered people back in colonial times), these would not be happening all over the world. I mean look, border conflicts also in the China-India, India-Pakistan, Pakistan-Afghanistan, Egypt-Sudan, Israel-Palestine, Cyprus, and many more are just results of them just caring on fattening their kingdom. And here we all are, cleaning up and tryin' to fix all the mess they caused decades to centuries ago.

If you actually learned about the processes behind that then you can only half blame the British, with China and India, China wants to expand to control the Himalayas as a buffer, defensive line and a road to Pakistan one of their strongest allies, with Pakistan and India, many Muslims didnt actually want to split the Raj, with Sudan and Egypt they want to control the Triangle, with Israel and Palestine a bilateral state failed as radicalism gripped both the Israelis and Arabs, with Cyprus a Turkish minority already existed in the North, causing Turkey to invade, the British only caused half of this, dont forget that there are other people and actors in the world stage

Then one time, my uncle told the story of how he was brought to one of the camps in Cubao because he had long hair and was caught in a small banda-banda bar. They forcefully shaved off his hair because "good Filipinos" don't have long hair daw. He was so traumatized by it that until today, he refuses to cut his hair short, bald spot be damned.

Me too. I grew up in the "Solid" North and at a young age puro propaganda at historical revisions ang nababasa ko. Sobrang galing at strategic ang historical revisionism na ginagawa ng mga Marcos. Sobrang humanga at inidolize ko sila. I myself spread those false information kasi nga akala ko totoo. Grabe ako makipag-away sa Facebook para lang sa pamilyang Marcos. Not until nag college ako at kumuha ng Education major in Social Science. I know better now. Never Again! Never Forget!

@@ohoh7541 I immediately got disillusioned by Marcos after I looked way deeper into Martial Law in Wikipedia and other reliable sources. I wish I met Martial Law victims as well to affirm my belief that it was all true. Despite my parents blabbing that life during Marcos was all sunshine and sunflowers, it did not convince me at all. However the main reason why I successfully resisted the Marcos propaganda brainwashing is through my studying and research to other authoritarian countries. I was also very mad that Marcos did not even let Philippines prosper actually, just look at the economy back then! The reason why my relatives think life was Marcos was all good was mainly because of the media blackout which effectively blocked true reportage. Instead they were fed with propaganda. The Bagong Lipunan crap is very similar to propaganda of Mao Zedong and North Korea without communism. The image of a perfect Philippines during Marcos was a propaganda ploy to cover all of the shit and mess. I believe this is the main reason why a big chunk of Filipinos can be easily swayed by the Marcoses, because back then there was zero concept of free thinking. Secondly, I live in Canada and I went to school there which definitely encouraged free thinking and right judgement.

@@ralphdominiq1222 Hard pill to swallow: there is no "both sides" to this. Cory's administration was awful because she was a complete and utter rookie filling her husband's place - the actual politician - while trying to clean up the mess left by the previous admin. Someone who had no idea what to do running a country that needed to pay a $20billion debt, answer to the tribes Marcos alienated, answer to farm owners who were overworked to hell in order to catch up to a starvation and lack of employment that already began when Marcos was in power, answer to incoming economic crisis, answer to Marcos loyalists, and more all stacked on top of each other. So no shit she made some awful, unpragmatic decisions. Marcos administration was awful because he tried to pull a f*cking Putin vs Ukraine on Sabah, lying to his soldiers about why they're being sent to Sabah and all. And when news got out about it, he quickly tried to sweep it under the rug by killing the soldiers who found out about it. If it weren't for that one escapee, no one would know. And when that got out, he shut down 90% of the news outlets cause he knew that the Filipino people wouldn't wish to become colonizers and would never take his side. He planted spies in classrooms to see if teachers or students are trying to hear about what happened and if they were caught? Instantly thrown into prison or worse, tortured CIA style in secret. Which ironically, only made his PR worse. Foreign imports, exports, investments, and trust plummeted not because of some "communist scare" but because they found out about that too and didn't find the Marcos administration trustworthy anymore. Some of the rebel political dissidents we have now only wanted to secceed from us more because they remember the Philippine government for what Marcos did to them. Now his wife and kids are capitalizing on the incompetencies of the admins that followed and the problems they faced trying to say "see? Maybe we weren't so bad~" like they weren't part of the reason why the following admins had so much to do. How on earth is anyone supposed to look at *that* and go "oh you should try to be fair to that side too"?

What is wrong about Malaysia holding Sarawak and Sabah? Sarawak and Sabah are component states of Malaysia. The sovereignty of Sabah and Sarawak as component states of Malaysia is intact, recognized internationally and recognized by the United Nations. This was confirmed and clearly stated in the United Nations Malaysia Mission Report "Final Conclusion of the Secretary-General", 14 September 1963. So, our president sukarno ask the usa to stop. The president of usa agreed but the jews and british didn't agree, so they kill JF Kennedy. Then our President act the same as their move in johor singapore sarawak sabah to our side, to get clear message for british allies to stop what they did. Latest as in June 2023: 1. June 6th - Paris Court of Appeal had set aside and annulled the previous Paris Court (lower court) ruling awarding the heirs of the defunct Sulu Sultanate. 2. June 27th - Dutch Court of Appeal in The Haque had dismissed a bid by eight descendants of former Sultan of Sulu to enforce the arbitration award by Paris Court (lower court) ruling and dismissed an attempt to seize Malaysian assets following the Paris Court of Appeal. 3. , Paris Court of Appeal also imposed on Sulu €100,000.00 (Euro currency) to be paid to Malaysia as legal cost. 4. Mean while in Luxembourg, a second attempt to seize Malaysian Petronas assets had been filed in Luxembourg Court due for hearing in September 2023 after the first attempt was dismissed. This will likely be dismissed too following the Paris Court of Appeal decision. Malaysia had spent around RM32m, equivalent to about USD6.6m to deal with these Sulu claim cases in various European courts, in Madrid, Paris, Luxembourg and Netherlands. Apart from the €100,000.00 Sulu has to pay to Malaysia as legal cost, Malaysia is planning to sue Sulu for compensation for the loss of RM32m spent. Since now Malaysia has won , so Sulu should follow the decision. Sabah, Malaysia 🇲🇾 🇲🇾 🇲🇾 🇲🇾.

Sulu finally lost in various courts of appeal. They lost in Paris Court of Appeal and failed to get the US$14.92B compensation. Instead Sulu has to pay Malaysia €100,000 as legal cost imposed by Paris Court of Appeal. Sulu also lost in The Haque, Netherlands in their bid to enforce the Paris Court ruling and failed in their attempt to seize Malaysian assets following the Paris Court of Appeal decision. Their bid to seize Malaysian Petronas assets in Luxembourg would face the same fate following the Paris Court of Appeal decision. The sovereignty of Sabah and Sarawak as component states of Malaysia is intact, recognised internationally and recognised by the United Nations. Philippines claims on North Borneo based solely on historical and legal rights is very dubious without any evidence. British North Borneo Company (BNBC) signed 2 agreements with the Sultan of Brunei and Sultan of Sulu on 29 December 1877 and 22 January 1878 over the territory of North Borneo respectively. Thus, Sulu claims on North Borneo was given by Brunei as a gift is unfounded. On 22nd July 1878, Sultan Sulu relinquished his sovereignty on Sulu Archipelago and its dependencies thereof to Spain in Bases of Peace and Capitulation Agreement. The agreement by Sulu with BNBC on 22 January 1878 is null and void based on his majesty termination letters also dated 22 July 1878 to the Governor of Sulu and Governor General of Philippines who later forwarded it to BNBC (24/7/1878) and Spanish government (20/8/1878) in Madrid respectively. Later this whole episode is override by the Madrid Protocol 1885 that North Borneo belongs to the British. Regarding the rent, it is ludicrous to be considered as there is nonexistence of any agreement between Sulu/Philippines with Malaysia on the matter. Even when Malaysia stops giving money to Sulu since 2013, no legal process been taken to court in Philippines, Malaysia or ICJ until now. It is only a gift as the amount is ridiculously small. One dollar (Mexican gold dollar) has a weight of 1.7 grams of gold. For 5300 dollars have a weight of 9.01 kg of gold. Compare the value of 5300 Malaysia dollars to 9 kg of gold. Furthermore, rent you pay in full. The above documents are kept either in Public Record Office in London or General Archives in Madrid. Most of them would eventually either fall into ruin due to the raids of local inhabitants or would assimilate into the local culture creating a creole society with Spanish style government with a populace of indigenous people, colonists, and mixed race people. For example, Tandag City which was known as Fort Santiago when it was first founded.

I'll give you the red pill version as most of the info found on the history books are the blue pill version. ”I was a fighter pilot in 1968 deployed in Cebu, Philippines, when newspaper headlines said, "US Backs Malaysia" during the near confrontation of the Philippines and Malaysia over the ownership of Sabah, North Borneo. This hit the Filipinos hard. At the least they had expected that an ally would remain neutral, and at the most help the two countries iron out their differences. Although there is little similarity between the Philippines-Malaysia rift and a hypothetical attack of a communist country such as the USSR or China, which is the immediate object of the US-Philippines Mutual Defense Treaty, the impact of the US promptly siding Malaysia triggered overt doubts about the reliability of the US as an ally of the Philippines. Immediately spare parts for fighter planes of the Philippine Air Force were either not arriving on time or not available. The reason given by JUSMAG was that the parts were shipped erroneously to Iran and Vietnam. Right or wrong this fueled the doubts of the people. The Sabah issue headlines evoked the very first mass protest in front of the US Embassy, and prompted the Philippine Congress to take closer scrutiny of US-Philippines relations. When the Philippine government started recalling its contingent of troops from Vietnam, speculation ran high that this was due partly to the 1968 incident. Right or wrong, Filipinos recall this incident as a pattern of how the US deal with its commitments in the Philippines.” -Philippine Air Force (PAF) Pilot Col. Samson Mahimer in 1988 Source: https: / / web . archive . org/web/20200102145211/apps.dtic.mil/dtic/tr/fulltext/u2/a202758.pdf

During the US colonization of PH, 2 agreements (Carter 1899 and Carpenter 1915) were signed by the Sultanate of Sulu which relinquished its temporal sovereignty of Sulu and its dependencies. Later, the 1930 Anglo-US border agreement acknowledge the boundary delimitation between PH and North Borneo that belongs to the British. The British later recognized Malaysia and established the Five Power Defense Agreement or FPDA. Will US breach US-UK agreement?

Thats the reality. May planong bawiin si Erap, sinabotahe nnmn. Ayun ginaya kay Marcos haha.

@@hopelope1703 RU-vid doesn't want link source reply lol. That time its not about US-UK agreement, Its about the PH-MY dispute, Sovereign vs Sovereign not masters vs masters. PH was hoping for US to side with them because of the MDT but expecting neutrality cuz PH know it will be up against MY+UK and are prepared to fvck them both head on. PH fought superpowers before Chinese, Spanish, Dutch, US,JP etc etc so facing UK+MY was no big deal. The problem there is the friend and ally you considered suddenly betrayed you and announced publicly all over the news that it backed other country. So it will be US+UK+MY vs PH. Its too much lol.

THAT’S WHY THEY ARE PAYING LEASE. HOWEVER, MALAYSIA JUST DON’T WANT TO RETURN SABAH TO THE SULTAN OF SULU BECAUSE IT IS GENERATING A LOT OF INCOME FOR THEM. THAT’S THE FACT

You FACTS only based on information from Philippines. Sulu only claimed that Sabah was given by Brunei to Sulu as a gift for purportedly helping Brunei to fight rebels. But Brunei refuted this claim and denied ever having given Sabah to Sulu. There was NO DOCUMENT regarding the transfer of ownership of Sabah from Brunei to Sulu signed by both Sultans. "... PAYING LEASE...". There was NO PROOF that shows the payment was "LEASE". In fact the document or letter of payment stated that the payment was "CESSION MONEY". Cession means "the giving up of rights, property or territory by a state". The the territory (Sabah) had been given up by Sulu, it meant the the territory (Sabah) was ni longer belonged to Sulu.

Sulu finally lost in various courts of appeal. Latest as in June 2023: 1. June 6th - Paris Court of Appeal had set aside and annulled the previous Paris Court (lower court) ruling awarding the heirs of the defunct Sulu Sultanate. 2. June 27th - Dutch Court of Appeal in The Haque had dismissed a bid by eight descendants of former Sultan of Sulu to enforce the arbitration award by Paris Court (lower court) ruling, and dismissed an attempt to seize Malaysian assets following the Paris Court of Appeal decision. 3. Paris Court of Appeal also imposed on Sulu €100,000.00 (Euro currency) to be paid to Malaysia as legal cost.
