Notes [1:41] I made a mistake, the denominator should be squared, the formula is correct, but my showing of the numbers is not. (19178x10^3)^2 - Pointed out by Wooden Leg.
I continue my series of the Physics of Elite with another topic, hopefully not too gentle, but once we get passed these we can maybe go on some of the tougher subjects
Here I talk about how the force of Gravity works and how it effects a few different aspects of what we see around us. A large part of this is discussion of the Roche Limit.

Thank YOU. This has saved me HOURS of reddit pontification and obstrufaction and missinformation, disinformation and plain opinion. Your video was a wondrous delight. Well done, thumbs up, and up post video. Great Karma to you.

Once again a very nice and exciting vid! Also loved the explanation at the end about the signs of volcanic activity on orbiting moons under gravitational stress. It all sounds so clear once you are aware of the relationships of the different facts. Kudos once more to Frontier that even such details are considered within the engine. ...and I can't wait for the objects below the 120km mark to show up. But I guess they also need to add additional gameplay features so CMDRs can cope with such an environment. Otherwise we will have LOTS of Fuel/Rescuerats emergencies with SRVs floating away into the void :D

Another terrific video - really enjoying these Eros (despite 25% of it going straight over my head).

I'm enjoying this series. Glad you don't feel the need to treat us like arts graduates ;-)

Great video dude. Thanks for putting in the work. always nice seeing the time lapse video's of planets moving. I always though I noticed a planet or station moving as I approached. I'd have it centered in the HUD and it would slowly slide away from the center, nice to have someone actually confirm yes it's moving. Cheers buddy!

How come constant trust forward does constantly increase your speed in Supercruise unless mass-locked. But in normal Space even with Flight assist off, if constant forward thrust is applied ship flies only with max speed :) => Game, not real Physics. A game use of real physics is just as real as 3D rendered Animation. Cheers.

Your videos, well this one at least, is very very boring. My intention is to help you out here. Most people will not say this because they don't want to leave themselves open to the accusation of being dumb. I love science, and also ED, and at first I thought this may be a great channel. Check your view stats and you'll find 99% click off well before the end. Basically it's the equations. You should never show equations to people with no interest in them, which is almost everyone. I wish you luck coming up with a better approach.
