The Pied Piper of Hamelin (1957) Musical, Family, Fantasy Full Length Movie 

An immortal tale of which everyone should take heed even in this age!

That musical movie should be produced on stage, it would be a great westend or broadway production !!!!

I first saw this movie when I was in grade school in the early 1960's. I had forgotten all about it until the mid 1970's when I got to run a beautifully restored 35mm Technicolor version of it at a holiday children's matinee at a large theater in NY. Unfortunately EVERY online & DVD version of this film available now all seem to have been mastered from the same, slightly faded 16mm film copy, that's also badly spliced & scratched in a few places, especially during the "Prestige" musical number. I wish somebody could locate the original negative or a good film print and re-master it. Claude Rains is great in just about everything he ever did, but I really enjoy him in his role in this film. ( even with all the splices & scratches)

I am 70 years old and am still traumatized by this film. Nothing doing this time around.

He has a look on his face like: "I didn't really want all these kids to follow me. Oh man, this is bad..." 😆
