It’s Interesting to think that, while in most terraria playthroughs the player could be seen as evil in a certain sense, since they willingly summon the wall of flesh and willingly do all the endgame activities… In this one they are the bad guy, they bring the world to its end by killing all these powerful creatures who held it together, causing it to collapse in on itself

i love how casual you are with these runs, if you feel like the pillars are too boring to do another time you just summon in a sigil, if waiting for the plantera bulb to spawn would take too long you just place one there, there's something about it that i respect

The respawn timer was shorter than usual when you paused because the game continues counting down the respawn timer when you're on the title screen.

something about you saying "there's only one way to go smaller..." and deleting the world with the final hours music in the background was oddly depressing.

Also, every time I hear Clock Town's theme song, I have flashbacks to getting vaporized 500 times as a deku because I didn't know how to play the game. Good choice of music!

I've played terraria for a long time without the journeys end update and it still never ceases to amaze me with how fun it can be.

The randomizer idea sounds great! I can only imagine what craziness will happen since with each randomization there will be weird blocks getting replaced with weirder blocks. perhaps one ide for future runs is to have a sort of tier list of blocks, and new blocks can potentially replace them as you kill more bosses.

Loved seeing all the worlds at the end. Really feels like a slow armageddon taking over

God. What an incredible emotional journey. It was such a claustrophobic stressful breakdown of the world as you progressed, harking all the way down to 117 blocks. It felt kind of poetic that it ended there, at a world size you were already fully experienced with. The dramatic music and the deletion of the world at the end are a perfect finale to this series, I think. Great work, Wand of Sparking, another excellent series by the best Terraria content creator and weapon.

I really loved this series and also it’s baffling to me how you can take on 3 pillars at once when it takes me like 15 to get just one

Here's a fun challenge: Start with a small world and every time you die, you delete one type of block from the entire map.

I like how you went with the majora's mask clock town music getting darker as the world gets destroyed

It's really convenient that you paused on the same frame you died and the screen got stuck while Super Metroid music was playing, since if you do the same thing in that game (open pause menu while reaching 0 health at a specific point) the game gets stuck on a black screen.

The challenges you do are always fun and entertaining to watch, i can’t wait for the next episodes of the stardew completion series

Just had an idea for a Terraria challenge that might be slightly fun but most likely anxiety inducing and rage filling. Terraria Roulette: A normal playthrough, but for every required boss, you have to guess one item that the boss drops. If you guess right, you continue the playthrough. Should you guess wrong, you have to end the playthrough and start over. There are a few special things you can do. You can do optional bosses, but you still have to guess. Guess right on an optional boss and you will gain a bonus guess. This allows you to guess an extra item on the boss, giving you a higher chance of success. You can stack bonuses together by beating another optional boss without using a bonus. Bonuses are optional to use and using any bonuses on a boss will cause ALL of them to disappear. If you have multiple bonuses, you can either use them all to get a very good chance of a correct guess, or use none. Wrong guesses on an optional boss still cause a reset. Optional bosses aren't the only way to get bonuses, you can also farm mini bosses! Things like event bosses, for example. This can be done infinitely to get an endless amount of bonuses. But do know that you still have to guess correctly on event bosses, otherwise the run resets. The final way to earn bonuses is through required boss guessing. Should you guess the rarest item a boss can drop and it does drop it, then you get 3 bonuses. (This can be changed if you think it's OP.) In the case of you losing the item you guessed right on, the boss you got it from can be re-fought to get it again. Only until you get the item again does the guessing come back. Here is a list of all required bosses: Eye of Cthulhu Skeletron Brain of Cthulhu/Eater of Worlds Wall of Flesh The Mechanical Bosses Plantera Golem The Lunatic Cultist The Pillars (Each one must be guessed correctly.) Moon Lord Here is a list of all optional bosses: King Slime Queen Bee Queen Slime Duke Fishron Empress of Light All Mini Bosses (Both lists can be changed depending on what you want.) Should you finish a run, you can do an, "All or Nothing." (A.K.A AoN) If you do an AoN, all bosses that were skipped have to be fought, and guessed correctly. (Not including mini bosses.) Failing an AoN means failing the entire run and resetting, but it's optional. If you didn't skip any bosses, then you can't do an AoN. If you think this is too frustrating or hard, then try... Easy Mode: Guessing right on an optional boss or mini boss grants you a skip that lets you bypass a boss item guess entirely. They can't be stacked though. Guessing wrong only makes you fight the boss again until you get the item. But if you think that was too easy, then try... Hard Mode: You have to play on expert. King Slime, Queen bee, and Duke Fishron are all required now, and you can only have one bonus. But should you want true pain, then try... Hell Mode: You have to play on Master Mode. All bosses are required, including mini bosses. You get no bonuses. AoN is required. Good Luck, you'll need it. But, somehow, should you conquer Hell Mode, then try... Impossible Mode: Same as Hell Mode, but with the exception that all bosses that have an enraged form must be fought in it, and dying causes a reset. Dying to a boss does not cause a reset, you can try again. (Excluding Impossible Mode) Any loopholes in this challenge cannot be taken advantage of, you can patch up the rules if you find any. This series was really fun to watch :) something about the music choice in the ending there as you showed the world sizes also was *super* creepy, like I had really just watched a world wink out of existence. Final hours really does serve to make everything creepy.

imagin a game where you are forced to live in a cave due to some reason with the sun mealting everything on the surface. you start have to build a small house underground, mine for ores and extend the cave to build more houses for more people who move in. you were also need to fish underground and eat bugs for food.

Not exactly a Terraria challenge, but I'd love to see you do a long-tem series where you go for every item researched in journey mode. Love the vids, keep up the great work!

Recently stumbled upon your channel. Having completed the last of the achievements a few months back, I still feel the need for some Terraria in my life. This is good stuff :) Regarding new challenges, the first thing that sprung to my mind is an upside down world, like in symphony of the night. Might need some additional restriction to make it interesting, tho?

Collab of the year: Wand of sparking, phantasm, and gungir, the terraria weapons

My idea is to do like a skyblock run, but you are only starting with the minimum on your island: 25 dirt block, one mud block, one block of water, one block of lava and a tree. Also, give yourself some spawner for golem.

Damn… the primary enemy of the world defeated, the great moon lord dies, only for it not to matter anyway. For it all to be gone, everyone, everything, goin to the void, just little pieces of data marked as trash to be overwritten, bit by bit. A little depressing, honestly, but nonetheless a fitting end to the series, and an amazing video I’d be excited to see another randomizer, and as for suggestions, I’ve already left some in the Discord (which anyone reading this who hasn’t and who has an interest in being involved in this community should join, by the way) Thank you again for all your hard work, Canadien, and I can’t wait to see what amazing new videos you have in store (especially the new Botw cheats and Stardew valley perfection challenge videos :-D)

Ive watched alot of challenge videos and something I've learned from them all is that the most powerful thing in any playthrough isnt weapon or armor. It's the Nurse.

Goddammit that thumbnail with the pillars jacked together is genius.

I had an idea for a challenge, but it could be pretty hard. You basically play on pacifist mode, where you yourself dont kill anything. Only traps and Npcs basically. Especially in the beginning it would be hard because of the lacking resources for it. I dont know if its even possible, but if it is, you could try to get the princess as one of your fighters, her attack is one of the strongest.

That plantera fight might have been the most casual fight I have ever seen.

I'm doing my own terraria playthrough on my channel, and watching this gives me anxiety, lol. I admire the amount of work you put into doing this challenge run, I dont know many others who would!

the reason the respawn timer is shorter after saving and exiting is it continues to count down even when you leave the world, so if you leave after you die and come back 15 seconds later the timer will be gone

I think the hardest challenge possible is a true melee play through, anyone capable of such a feat would deserve a platinum play button

this is one of the most fun things i have ever seen but also one of the most scuffed

I’ve got a few ideas for challenges, a chest and drops randomizer (at least for bosses), or a craftless run (as much as possible, so no equipment mostly)

Myth: If you have a giant floating vat of water with a one-block leak on the bottom above a perfectly flat stretch of land spanning the entire world, the water will all disappear before amounting to anything (put walls at the edge of the world so the water doesn't spill out)

Playthrough idea: You may only use items gotten from before the previous boss/progression point. This includes all parts of gameplay such as mining and combat. The only exception is boss summoners and the temple key can be used whenever. for examples: pre-mech stuff for plantera pre-WOF stuff for mechs, etc. For EOC, dont use anything from underground. (There isnt a progression-boss before EOC) Notes: Events (goblin army, eclipse, frost/pumpkin moon etc) do not count as a boss. as pre-hardmode bosses can be done in any order, WOF is considered boss 2... Meaning no boss drops/witch doctor/dungeon. as the mech trio can be done in any order, they are considered one boss aswell, pre-WOF items for all of them as basically nothing happens after golem (and he is easier than WOF) he does not count as a boss.

All the majoras mask music made this so much more enjoyable!

It was really interesting watching the world go from this one huge into well, we all know. I will say I enjoy the idea of random blocks with the death of every boss... or maybe somehow make the world bigger after every boss with random blocks?
