I hate that I missed this performance, it was the last Adventure Time panel for the original series where everyone was crying ‘cause we thought the show was ending for good, and everyone in the industry was talking about how The Pillows were also playing that day. I’ve thought about this day for years and now I can finally see the performance thank yoooouuu 💖🤘✨
Tamanaka's voice is AMAZING, Manabe's technique and playing are INCREDIBLE, Sato's drumming is GROOVING! This is one of my favorite bands and i hope to see them live one day. I LOVE THE PILLOWS!!!!!!!
@@Hunterfrag Absolutly agree about vocals. And, well I did not actually listen carefully at least 5 last albums, but this gig sounds almoost perfect to me, including Yamanaka's voice.
It's unmistakable!! today I came across a re-edition collab of dohatsuten's otona no susume for their 35th anniversary and it just took a couple of words to make my gaze go up looking for hime!
Hit after hit, at least for me. I would have been more than ecstatic if I'd been here! The Pillows keep things simple, so they can always give a live presentation that never disappoints. I have to mention how well the touring bassist complemented the band - he's a keeper!
It's amazing how quietly iconic that Sawao edition mustang is. So few realise how special that guitar is but every time I see it I feel like that really represents Sawao and The Pillows as a whole.
OMG most of the people there dont even know how amazing amazing amazing this is. I actually listened to the music a long time before i watched FLCL. it stands on its own.
@@indierokker9981 Manabe’s using Sago guitars, done so for years. Custom models made for him, which are also released as signature models. Super expensive though, like $5000 or so. They’re hand made in Japan though. There are cheaper versions from Sago’s daughter company Seed, priced around $800 last time I checked, but that was years ago. Arie’s also playing a custom Sago bass.
