Thank you for your great videos on these bulbs im planting some now in New Zealand. The potting mix recommendation in the video can the ingredient's be added to general potting mix as well? Thanks

You can add all three ingredients to your potting mix. You can also add just the manure and the peat moss. Adding some topsoil will make your mix heavier and therefore protect your plant roots. Thank you for the kind comment.

Are these perennial and can they survive in-ground in zone 8? Also, how much sun, or shade do they need?

Alysbar, they are perennial. I believe they can survive in ground in Zone 8 if heavily mulched (4 inches deep) in the fall.
