When it comes to the ultimate in luxurious experiences, the brand new Mercedes-Maybach S680 is truly glorious! Loaded with exceptional technology, incredible comfort features, and details never seen before, giving us plenty to explore as well as a drive and chauffeur ride.
Based on the new Mercedes-Benz S Class, the Maybach S680 houses a 6.0 twin turbo V12 ahead of an extended body by 30cms; offering even more room for the rear passengers. With 621hp and 900Nm available, despite being over two and half tonnes it will still acceleration to 100km/h (62mph) in just 4.5 seconds and on to a limited top speed of 250km/h (155mph).
However, where it really excels, is when it comes to the absolute pinnacle of luxury offered for the cabin occupants. From the reclining lounge chair and champagne cooler and flutes, to the motorised doors and incredible infotainment system. It offers a wealth of features not seen elsewhere, and lots for us to discovery on this first opportunity to get out on the road in the new Maybach.

If there’s one car besides a Rolls or Bentley I want more than my E63S, it’s this baby. V12s are awesome and so smooth. I loved the old 5.6 V12 BMW 850CSI. If you afford one of these, you can afford the gas.

Saw this Maybach at the Abby Hill roundabout about to get onto the A road and was wondering who’s been chauffeured on a Thursday afternoon in MK 😂 Then boom! Shmee drops the video. The bright red colour does really pop when you see it in real life

@@anidudee Highly unlikely to be be Mat Watson as the BP and Shell next to the roundabout gives it away in the video. In addition, I saw it go into the Shell where Shmee stopped to film the interior. Also, Mat had a go pro stuck on top of the Maybach for his review unlike Shmee

As much as I love new models and the new technology of the W223, I think the new S-class is a downgrade in exterior appearance from the W222. Especially the taillights. They went from these classy, stately, and iconic lights to ones that remind me of Mazda lights. I also prefer the W222 front bumper to most of the W223 bumpers, except for those with the AMG line. I really hope they do a refresh to bring back more of that W222 presence to the amazing things the W223 has to offer. That parking and rear steering is absolutely phenomenal.

The older cars like the Astons and Jags looked great with these fat tires. And it looked so much more comfortable. Who told the manufacturers we want this anyway? It's like taking a beautiful woman for a mountain walk and she shows up on her high heels.

I know I'm not in the market for this kind of thing, but I wouldn't buy one even if I could. Frankly the external design of the car is very bland and uninspired, and all that chrome just looks nasty.

I noticed that in this video and carwows review as well. Totally cheap looking. Overall there’s way too much plastic. The front grill intakes is also plastic Matt said. No thank you. Just get a Rolls and do it right. Don’t spend this much on a disappointment. Don’t even get me started on those huge bezels on the hideous iPad style drivers display. This is tech from years ago. No way should a screen like that b in this car. The Cadillac Escalade has curved display screens with tiny bezels as an example of what the latest tech for a 2021 premium car looks like. This car as the pinnacle of technology? I don’t think so, not for 2021, perhaps, 2018. This car as one to be driven to the airport in as a passenger , sure. But to drop 200€ to have it in the driveway , no thanks, there’s just nothing that special about it. I’d take a Bentley or Rolls over this any day.

I just picked up my 3 2021 S680 V12 Maybach's, all with black interior black exterior fully-loaded with all options, I paid Mercedes Benz to put in black-out electronically opening/closing curtains in the rear as a custom preference instead of the original screens that go over the widow's.

Whenever I see this car, I forget the Rolls Royce Phantom. This Mercedes Maybach S Class is the BEST luxury car by today. The Phantom may be lovely, but there is character that the Maybach has that really dominates Rolls Royce for me. This Mercedes Maybach S Class is my pick of choice in the luxury segment, no car can match it.
