It is my firm belief that there are incredible healing aspects of both western and alternative medicine-I think that true “holistic” healing observes what both spaces have to offer, and chooses the appropriate interventions from either or both spaces pending on the individual who is seeking care. However, in the same way that both spaces offer wonderful interventions, they are both for-profit industries, which means they inherently have pitfalls, where money is placed above the health and safety of the consumer.

Great video…I’ve trusted in alternative medicine for over 50 years but have never considered the similarities between Western medicine and Alternative health care….thank you for making me aware of the similarities, and that we all must be informed concerning our own health issues…I do believe that I’ve lived to be 83 years old by staying as far away from Western doctors and medicine as I possible can…also, I’m a staunch believer in Prayer…Be Blessed💐

I loved when you said that sience doesn't master everlasting and humility is the key for both physician and patient True our body is a wonderful gift from our creator and he wants us to cherish it and to be sound in mind to enjoy life to the full Being balanced and aware is the key also Thank you

Wow. You are such a magnificent person. I think there are many of us out there who strive to equally magnificent, but can often become disheartened when we encounter people being less than fair minded in their conduct. Thanks for posting your videos. They give me reassurance I’m doing things to my own standards regardless of the standards others set for themselves.

The only thing not mentioned here about supplements vs pharmaceuticals is that pharmaceuticals are patented so one company can make huge profits on their products and charge extreme amounts of money for drugs that only work on symptoms and don’t address underlying causes of chronic diseases, thereby keeping people on these drugs for the rest of their lives. At least supplement companies have healthy competition. I do think the consumer needs to do their due diligence in researching about supplements and alternative therapies, and find out what works for them.

Hey Tori, have you treated patients presenting with fissures and unexplained bladder pain successfully with pelvic floor PT? Do you think these two are usually related due to tight pelvic floor muscles? I was in PT for 6 mo with no success treating either. Turned to alternative medicine for another 8 mo which also failed to heal both. Wondering if I need to give PT another try

I'm so sorry that you're struggling with fissures and unexplained bladder pain, and that PFPT and alternative medicine haven't been much of a help in the last ~14 months. Please, please, please don't give up on your body's ability to heal. Bodies are capable of so much healing when we support them with the right healing environments - it's just figuring out what that environment looks like that can be so tricky - and I'm confident that your body is no exception. I have had success treating fissures and bladder pain, but that success really depends on the cause of either or both. It's tempting to say that they're related due to pelvic floor tightness, but sometimes pelvic floor tightness isn't the cause of either of those things. I do have a video on treating fissures that may be helpful to you. It's here if you're interested in checking it out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DuiteSszdxE.html In cases of more "mysterious" pelvic conditions and whether or not PFPT is helpful, I really think the provider can have a huge impact on the outcome - whether or not the provider is willing to delve into the case/piece together the puzzle/openly embrace trial and error/admit when they do and don't know things AND whether or not the provider has the right tools in their toolkit/past experience. That isn't meant to discourage you from seeking PFPT or any other service, so much as it is to encourage you to be discerning about your provider(s) and to rely radically on yourself (which can be really hard to hear, and I understand if it is. It's a really unfortunate truth, but our healthcare system just isn't set up to let or incentivize providers to support each and every patient like they want to). I know hopping from provider to provider is a financial luxury not all can afford, but always remember that the initial evaluation is just as much for you as it is for them - feel them out, ask questions, and trust your gut. You deserve to feel peace in your body and mind, always. Finally, I know from my own experience how exhausting it can be to try and understand your own conditions - to truly rely fully on yourself - but it's the only way I've ever been able to heal. Making timelines, really mining my memory, piecing together a few hypotheses as to WHY it started, cultivating a relationship with my body and letting my intuition take me down each path, looking at each intervention as an experiment instead of a guaranteed treatment, and using each failure to inform my next intervention. It's hard and frustrating and overwhelming, but it's a practice, and you will get better and better at understanding your body and how to help yourself heal. I really wish I could be more helpful, and I'm so sorry that you're hurting. I hope so much that you find your healing and the right provider's guidance soon 🧡

I have a question. How many times a day going pee is normal?
@PelvicEmpowerment

I think it really depends on the person and how much they're eating/drinking, but technically ~1x/2 hours is within normal limits!

Unless you've been run over with a truck, fallen off a cliff or been subjected to nuclear radiation then whatever chronic illness you have is caused by what was put in the mouth. Human metabolic health comes from acting like a human and that includes eating human food. Don't eat seed oils, sugars, carbs nor processed foods. Move around, get plenty of sun and good sleep along with eating plenty of animal products and saturated fat.
