imagine what this looked like when it was just built. I bet whoever built it never dreamed that one day it would be abandoned and left in such a horrid state.
East Cleveland fascinates me. I live in Cleveland, and I cared for an elderly man in East Cleveland. The blight is undeniable, but the architecture buried in the in the rubble is stunning. These houses are huge, usually boasting 5 or 6 bedrooms. This was once quite high society, but it is pretty sad now.
That's so weird. An entire neighborhood abandoned. It looks cool with all of those vines growing on the outside though. Looks to have been a nice place to live at one time. So sad to be rotting like this now when so many people could have been housed there. Thank you for being respectful of that woman's privacy by blurring her face.✌️❤️✌️
My grandfather was born in 1889 He was an engineer and had a home in a very nice area in Cleveland. Mostly all professionals lived in his neighborhood. That was in the 30s. The area is abandoned and trashed now. Most of the houses are falling down and druggies living in them. So sad. The before and after of the neighborhood is heartbraking.
I know this is not a real recent video but I couldn’t agree more. I’ve unsubbed from one explorer for just that reason. Explorer has a sick obsession with the toilets. And making strange squeaky noises, and just generally focusing on the grossest thing to be found. Ugh! Thanks!
Urbex Dane Nice video, but I suggest you to go in a large group and explore, never go by yourself knowing that the place is very dangerous. Please take care of yourself. Do you know why families left the whole block. Is the economy to blame or ...Can you reply and tell me more..Thank you.🌻
Those vines are called English Ivy. There is another vine similar called kudzu that is even more invasive. I wasn't going to comment, but there was another comment mentioning the vines. I think these abandon video places are cool, I can't believe how many there are, it's too bad they couldn't have been kept up.
this video of abandoned houses reminds me of Detroit. My mother used to live next to three abandoned houses they were all on the corner straight in a row. One morning I stop by to pick my sister up and drop her off at an appointment I was waiting in my car and some guy wonders out of one of the abandoned houses stretching and yawning like he just got out of bed then he walked down the street like he was on his way to work. I said there's no way in hell I can spend the night in a house like that by myself pitch-black no lights probably rodents everywhere.
That area reminds me of the TV show "the Wire", where the gang's "cleaners" would take bodies and dump them in abandoned properties and then board the building up. Boarded-up abandoned properties were so common where the show took place (Baltimore) that no one ever bothered to check...
Random Coyote to this day, that show remains one of my all time favorites. Regarding this video, In my opinion, the neighborhood and houses shown here are super creepy. I've lived within minutes of the detroit border most of my life, and have spent ALOT of time " urban exploring ", and the vast majority of the abandoned houses in detroit are FAR more gone and ransacked than these. Most are at least partially burned out, virtually all have been stripped by scrappers, and it is very rare to find one that hasn't been smashed all to hell by vandals.
It's been many years since I explored any abandoned houses & other abandoned buildings. It was one of my favorite hobbies when I was a kid. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. 😎
lulabell 79 LOL for me it’d be more about respecting myself. Who wants to live in a trash heap?! But yeah I mean at least it’s a roof over their head, respect it!!😂
I agree! I saw a broom, I think I would sweep out at least one room and put the best bed and a chair or two in it, then I wouldn’t shit where I eat. Maybe someone would come along and mess it up while I was out and I would have to start over. Ok, it wasn’t “mine” anyway. Maybe if I was too stoned to do that I would just lay on the floor in my own filth? It’s a bad place to be, mentally, to WANT that but there are people who are in that place. I’m no expert but I suspect most people who live like that don’t know any options, lived in the city all their lives and have no idea about what else is even possible and don’t care to know. Many different stories, but they all have the bottom in common. Some can be helped and some will always live like this. Realize the vast majority of us would never let our lives come to this no matter what happens.
Angel Bagel if he went with a friend they probably would've gotten caught. Better to go solo than with a scared friend despite it being a bit unnerving also.
Angel Bagel ha! Have u guys never heard “ Camp 30 “ in ontairo Canada!? I have been in there in 3rd times at alone... there is lot of murder, rape files going on in camp 30.. it’s history in world war 1 & 2 used a prison for Germany Nazi.. I went there in the night on Halloween day! ALONE!! and all night challenge! Problem is.. my flash light died at 2am and I decided to stay till sun rise at 6am... I survived! Btw there is a lot of strange noise after 3am like foot step coming from next room but I don’t see anything.. even there was so many warm and cold spot... that is sight of ghost in cold spot! I’m so brave to stay in
It’s a miracle the structures are intact on Buffalos East Side all the houses were torched by arsonists one by one over 30 years until there’s nothing left . It was a magical place but in the late 70s it was all over everyone abandoned and moved out pronto .
Urbex Dane The person who lived there or used it as a smoking place probably made it a trophy wall. It's to show how much weed you smoke and brag hey there was $200 in weed smoked from these rellos.
Another good video! It does look like that second place, was pretty full of stuff they left behind! It never cease's to amaze me, to see what get's left when people move on.
It's so sad to see these homes like this. I don't judge anyone, however you live is your business but I would be TERRIFIED to explore these homes! Great video and I have to say, exploring abandoned homes in Cleveland Ohio.... You have some guts!!!! Thanks for the video!
It just upsets me that we have so many abandoned homes in the United States yet still have so many homeless why can't we just give these abandoned homes that nobody wants to do anything with to the homeless that way maybe they'd have a chance
Dane, glad to see you back on your feet my friend. Man that camera is so damn pro. I am looking at one and thinking about it. It's like watching a live feed. I gotta get up your way to check a few of those places out. I would almost swear the door you couldn't get in was blocked by the lid off a casket. Seeing those cans of Old English 800 brought back a lot of memories from my days in the Navy out in San Diego (85-89). I loved that stuff, couldn't get enough. Been many a year since I have had one though. Thanks again for another great video. Jerry
Urbex Dane I would go with you if I lived closer. You need someone that will watch your back but not wander off and will let you get in, git 'er done and get out. Awesome video. Stay safe.
You know how pissed whoever IS squatting there would be to find you!? I have to agree with all the other comments PLEASE be careful. Always let someone know where you’re going and how long you’ll be if you’re going alone but preferably bring some friends😬 awesome video though!
This is crazy never seen anything like it, that massive house with all the vines looked awesome, is this the same street with that woman and her slippers? What was all that white powder on the basement stairs 😨 great explore very brave
Thank you for you doing these urban adventures and capturing video to share the experience with all of us. So fascinating to see how the buildings have become from where they were. You are correct, it's interesting how so many are abandoned in one neighbor hood. Please stay alert of your surroundings and stay safe out there plus have fun.
Wow!! So sad these homes had to just be dumped on like that. Can you even imagine, before the no job having, rif raf got ahold of it. Those were all beautiful, large, family homes. Thank you so much for taking us on all the cool explores you do. By the look of the place, a man could easily come up missing too. Stay safe.
At 7:10 into this it was absolutely uncanny. You took the words right out of my head. When you were looking in the front in the little rooms with the dormer windows I was thinking what a shame, this place was lovely at one time. Seconds later you made your comment about telling the place used to be nice. Looks like it was converted into apartments and may not have been a single family home. When I see cheap fixtures like that brassy hallway light I think "cheap landlord". Still a shame. Especially when I think of all of the homeless people who probably wouldn't mind cleaning the place up. Sad. A real waste.
Explorers of the forgotten. Right you are Dane. You and other Urges are the microcosm historians of thier city or state. Wonder when colleges and schools will start teaching about forgotten history's.
Cigarillo wallpaper. How classy! These homes/apartments looked very nice at one time. They look huge. This was really cool . In NC they just tear anything down the minute it becomes "abandoned"
Not only women go missing, go there at night anyone might come up missing man or women or child, strange things happen at night especially in areas such as these no witnesses if your ass gets snatched up by someone or something! Lol
Awesome video....and like 3warsGunsmithing said, always go armed and ready because you just never really know what might happen. Its the world we live in these days.
Dane, hope you are feeling better. This one was kinda creepy but great at the same time. Be careful and stay safe. Glad you didn't go into the other ones. Don't think the guy across the street woulda been much help if you had gotten hurt 😭
Even the first nine seconds of this video is better than any thing the 315 people that disliked this could ever think of making themselves. It baffles me the will to be snotty with no credibility. Like the stuff on the wall @8:53. Enjoyed this video alot Dane .
Great explore mate well done, is it not nice when you can really taste the odor in those places lol just watch your step there mate. Those places are really in different stages of decay wow.
Baltimore has Dan Bell, Cleveland has Urbex Dane. Awesome work under horrible conditions, stay safe! It is so sad to see many of our cities decaying right in front of us. Even sadder to see the destruction of the people who once lived there.
It sucks what the economy has done to Cleveland those houses and apartment buildings were so well built and eventually they will have to tear them down and put up cheaply made buildings or parking lots. A lot of these houses are 100+ years old and would still be in good condition if they were maintained just like they always say they don't build em like this anymore. 🏚 What's really crazy is how fast they get this bad.
Biggest reason why there so many abandon areas in Cleveland is mainly because of the recession in 2008. It killed Cleveland, and a lot of people had to leave. Cleveland try keeping up with tearing down the houses, but there just so many still.
I've seen houses in Gary that's probably been abandoned for 35, 40 years . I seen a house with a huge oak tree growing in the middle of it, the tree twice as tall as the 2 story house so I'd put the abandonment around the early 80s . Those places with all that ivy across the street reminded me of it . I used to live in Cleveland, it's very boring for a big city .
So sad! Those buildings were once beautiful & new, & people lived there. The things that are seen are temporary, but the things that are not seen are eternal.
Did you know that since the internet, serial killers has increased exponentially due to people being able to connect, share sick ideas, and promote how cool they seem. The obsession w death and dead bodies is taking these ppl raised on fantasies to new levels. Its pretty scary.
Dear God, please have this nabor hood cleaned up and clean out 💖 please restore it fully and please make all the houses Solerised 💖 Thank You God 👍👍💖 amen 👍🌎💖🌟
Did the dog from the last video smell extremely horrible? I've gone fishing to discover a dead deer in about the same condition (in a late stage of rigor mortis) stuck in the river, and that was probably the worst smell I've ever experienced.
Those stairs. I thought you might fall through. I just love what this country is turning into. It makes you think about the future.Less populated areas. The relocation of people is interesting to think about. What comes next?
Those are very nice homes i wonder how the neighborhood became abandoned smh hopefully someone can reform the neighborhood & keep its originality the houses seemed beautiful
this is creepy but cool! great video! have you ever thought of doing paranormal houses? i was just thinking idk if i would go in the if they are haunted haha
