Love it! Consider blocking off the Odyssey grill and any other open ports on the bumper. I think you could benefit greatly from taking the front end aero into account, seeing the way that interior trim piece you added gets pushed up

You can see the aero drag as it goes down the track. If you guys could clean all that up plus that deli slicer of a dashboard you guys could really quicken that van up. Nice work guys!

It still funny to see a van and truck go that fast period. I'm use to big engine muscle cars wheeling for these times, now frigging trucks and vans daily drive it lmao. Us old school muscle cars gotta bump up the game....

Yes, I was going to post the same. It has so much more potential, and a tiny bit of weight loss will help to. But better aerodynamics is super important at high speeds. Closed front, flat bottom and attention to details. Needs passenger side window first. 145 mph+ and 9.40's for sure.

To be fair the Model X Plaid is a glorified minivan. Still not as cool as the Plaidessy though. This is becoming my favorite channel to watch. You guys blend electric ⚡️ with ICE better than anyone.
I too think you guys need to address the aero packing up in front. It's bound to be slowing you down on the top end, since you're stuffing all that air into the can van body. The dash shows just how much air is piling up. Fix that, and with Kyle's killer lights you will spank Cletus easier!
I remember about 3 or so years ago when people said that electric crap wont ever beat a ICE car to we drove hours here in our EV & smoked Cleetus's F1smok'ems 😅.
It seem you have a lot of air still moving the "dash". Putting a piece of sheet metal behind the grill area would eliminate that and maybe increase aero.

The Plaid has a great drag coefficient, so the van body was always going to slow it down a bit if I had to guess, but wow it didn’t affect it as much as I’d have guessed. I think a fun goal could be improving the aero and weight while still (mostly) keeping the sleeper van appearance.
I had to watch your version first and you did not disappoint. Always a good day when you and Cleetus are going at it. BTW the reverse lights show just like brake lights with the current set up but no big deal.
You need to take that back to the wind tunnel, see where all the air is going like into the cab and lifting that guillotine, it would be cool to see the big aero issues fixed to squeeze a little more out of it. Great job guys!
So cool! Drag strip mode actually cools the battery. In some cases if it’s very cold it heats it up. But basically always trying to keep the battery cool and ready to take some high voltage.
Just finished cleetus video but had to come see if you had yours up yet. To see that minivan do that effortlessly against a truck that is modded and on tyres and screaming is crazy.
The race between the Rowdessey and Leroy is where I found the Boosted Boiz all those years ago. Great to see Cleetus and the Boiz both killin' it after all these years!

You don't need holes in the grill on that thing. Clean up the aero underneath and in the front, subtly, and you'll get close to original Plaid times 😎👌
Brent’s laugh is pure joy and shows he’s never lost his imagination like alot of us as we got older hopefully I can get that part of me back it looks so peaceful man
A better way to do the taillights would've been a trailer light module. On my Model 3 I used one from a company called Tekonsha, it converts PWM to analog. If you ever wanted to go back to the old lights keep it in mind!
