I know Tina can be ruthless and relentless when it comes to raiding Teeny's pouches but you cannot help but feel sorry for her. Hunger can make you do things you otherwise would never have done. You can see in the way she protects Teeny that she cares and loves her children. It must be hard for her to sit by watching others freely eating as she sits on the sideline. She is consistently bullied, poor girl. I wish that she could join Bossy's troop where even the lowest ranking still have a chance!
I actually thought at the end of last year she was going to be a part of Bossy's troop.. Then she went back to Skull heads.. I don't know if she was chased back or what..
After witnessing Skinny who was in far, far worse condition than Tina and at the bottom of rank still feed her baby and never rob her, I just can't. Skinny went so far as to drop a piece of precious sweet potatoes for her daughter. I'm glad Tina has people who feel for her though, I'm glad you do. Everyone and everything should. I just want get myself to do so. Especially after Tibbin get punished for nursing on day 1.
Yeah..hunger can make u do crazy things but I've witnessed her stealing from Teeny with her own pouches to full capacity!! You might feel for Tina a little if she provided milk..little to no milk ever!

Even though it looks like she can refill it still sucks, those pouches were huge and then she emerges and they’re empty. She’s got to learn to either evade mom or swallow everything as she goes, or maybe soon she’ll be big enough to fend her mom off 💪🏼

You might want to pay attention to the storyline a Little Closer before you talk "out of turn" yourself.
Teeny is looking round these days😁 I’m so happy to see her putting on some much needed weight and looking happier than I’ve ever seen her. She acts almost content and to see her throwing bread on the ground because she doesn’t like it is so gratifying! That means she is getting plenty to eat! Thank you Arroz to you and the feeders! I sure wish Tina would leave her alone to have her goodies! I get so angry watching her take Teeny’s food.

I'm glad they don't harass her kids Cortina teeny that would be terrible for her cuz she goes right up into skull faces group and eats right beside them almost and they don't even bother her which is wonderful
at least wit skull heads troop around, gives teeny little advantage, cuz they run tina off,,so HAPPY OTHER FEEDERS TOOK U ADVISE, AN started helping out so teeny can grow big an strong .I'm so proud of her persistence
It actually looked like that other monkey was protecting Teeny from Tina attempting to snatch away all her food again. Who knows, maybe the others are also aware of what Tina does to her own kids, and maybe they don't like it either??? They ARE all pretty smart.
It is wonderful to see Teeny with full pouches and trying to keep outbof Tina's way up in the trees..but i do still feel for Tina. She us obviously disliked and at the very very bottom of the food chain..she is pregnant and obviously so hungry as she should be eating for 2..yes i know what she does to Teeny is bloody awful..but its a matter of survival for her too.. she is not getting nowhere enough food to sustain her..that is why her babies are so damn small and don't grow because she doesn't have enough food to produce enough milk..there's bo way Teeny or Tiny had enough milk from her..that dried up pretty quickly..yes she's always so skittish looking around all the time to make sure she's not stepping out of place. Imagine how physically and mentally exhausting that is..Arroz has clearly saved Teeny's life by the plan to get the regular feeders on board..I hope it will also help Tina to have a much bigger baby this time as they've all been full term but the size of a preemie.. just so glad Teeny is flourishing under our watchful eyes..how lovely to see her with bursting pouches..🇬🇧💞🙈🙊🙉🐒🐵👍👏👏🐾🐾
Tina should hassle like all of her kids like Tiny when he was small she bothered him too - as if she can't do for herself? Teeny she was barely skin and bones and taking whatever little bit of food from her which is wrong.
@@angelacarleton9575 yes I agree Angela it is very wrong for Tina to do that to her kids.. as for finding her own food..the difference is that Teeny being so young and so small can get away with pinching the higher rankers food and they won't beat her up..Arroz has said that too... if however Tina tried to get some of that food she'd have been beaten to a pulp then no good for Teeny at all..I truly hate what she does to her children but I can understand WHY she does it.. it doesn't make it right I know but it is called survival of the fittest for that very reason. I feel for her being frightened of sounds or movements which might get her into trouble and trying to raise babies when you dont get enough food to survive on your own and produce milk..except for the food issue Tina IS a good mom..she loves her and has always loved and cuddled her..grooms her..although sometimes a bit roughly but she looks after her..and carrys her still although she is pregnant becsuse I believe she knows Teeny is still too small to be left to her own devices for long..we try and give human reasoning to wild animals and it just doesn't work that way..🇬🇧💞👍🙏🐒🐵🙉🙈🙊

Since Tina Obviously has an issue producing milk for her babies and they don’t stand a good chance to survive, Why couldn’t they tranquilize her and sterilize her? They use that cage, and I’m sure they have had troublesome monkeys that they have had to tranquilize or shoot, So why not have them get her????
It's actually sad that Tina is so scared and skittish of the other troop members, especially the higher ranking ones, that she's terrified to forage for herself. That's why she steals from Teeny, so that she doesn't have to forage for herself because she's so timid. I don't believe there is, or could be, an insidious reason behind her raiding Teeny's pouches; she just doesn't have the kind of intellect and self-awareness to realize her actions are so detrimental to her baby - she can't connect the dots, like us humans can. It's more of a psychological thing than Tina just being a greedy, uncaring mother. It's obvious from the way she protects and cares for Teeny, that she's a good mother that loves her child. It has to be a lonely life. Never getting groomed regularly. Her kids are all that she has.

What a lovely man 'arroz marisco' must be. To show such kindness and care. At times he even honors the memory of the aged monkeys that pass on. I pray he is lives a long comfortable life full of love and care from the people in his life.
Makes me sick! I thought at one time she was a good mom, Tina isn’t skittish she comes out she just using teeny as a messed up form of take out food. She’s lazy there’s bread all over she can get some. She had no problem eating a sweet potato infront of everyone. Teeny sit on twigs she can’t walk out onto or she will fall.
I think Tina sends Teeny out early because she knows that the best food is there. What she fails to realize is that Teeny is picking up crumbs the others drop. I'm positive that the amount she gets from her pouches isn't enough to make a difference in one way or the other and that she is just killing her baby's doing it. That's the difference between Tina and other monkeys, they've realized that it isn't enough to make a difference so don't do it.
GOOD JOB teeny she is learning to hide, but not for long of course tina gets ahold of her.. eventually teeny will be big and fast enough to climb all over those trees to hide from tina and others

It seems to me like they're trying to keep her away from teeny. It's almost like they know she raids teenies pouches and they're telling her to get the hell out of here and leave her alone.
No she isn't she knows full well she will get attached if she dare step out too early for food..yes its disgusting what she does to Teeny but she is pregnant and not getting hardly any food..we know that by the size of her babies. Full term but preemie size which means they're not getting the nutrition from momma.. she is the lowest ranking and is skittish and always looks petrified that she is eating before she should do..cut her some slack..Teeny will now survive because of Arroz plan yes..but Tina is eating for 2. I don’t believe Tina is raiding Teeny’s pouches out of hunger. This is a learned behavior of hers & she will continue no matter how much food is available. Arroz has said there are so many visitors now & everyone is getting plenty to eat, even low ranked. This is an aberrant & deviant behavior unique to Tina. Many monkey mums in other troops all over SE Asia are hungry but you never see them rob their babies’ pouches.
I don't disagree with you at all and your comment is a very good one. I thought the same thing, that Tinas behavior is unique to her, but I saw a video yesterday in which a long tailed Macaque mother raided her youngsters pouches and took every piece of fruit that he or she had gotten. That was most definitely the first time that I had ever seen that other than with Tina. Obviously it's a pretty rare behavior but it does seem to happen in other places and with other mother monkeys.✌🏻💞
Teeny looks so funny when she gets her little pouches filled up. Tina may still raid but Teeny is getting more food. Look at that little rounded belly. Love it!

In all my time watching arroz which is been over 3 years he's not recording any that I know of I don't know if he witnessed any or not you know if he's actually witness them.

Love watching Teeny thrive. I watched older clips of Tiny and Tina foraging and she never robbed him of it, only when the feeders came around. But with Teeny.....seems like she's always robbed her unless she's eating leaves. Makes me wonder if something happened to her. Was she attacked because of her rank so she's afraid? She's a caring mother, but when it comes to food it's like she's lost her mind. Trina is a monster though, she'll down right hurt Teeny.
the social dynamics of the troop are interesting, Tina could well be getting harassed by the others for raiding Teenys pouches, they must have noted that her growth is stunted and seen it as detrimental that her mother behaves as she does
My question is why doesn't she stop and eat then go again before Tina strikes? I guess the biggest thing her brain says is get more get more! It is maybe why she goes up the tree. I just noticed her pouches were stl big when she came down. I wish teeny could live in the troup without Tina. She may do better when Tina births the new baby but idk she may be worse then. She won't be providing the "protection" she does now so idk really. Tiny seems to have done so much better after tieeny was born. That monkey has probably had an awful hard life, i wish she could just for a change have it easy. So so happy Teeny is finally able to eat enough food, i love that she looks chubby and plays and has friends. Its so adorable to watch her. So why was teeny tolerated by her mother wasnt? I thought the monkey caste was hereditary. So, if Tina was considered an untouchable, then teeny should be too?
This video was very satisfying! Bc I got to see two things I wanted to see for Teeny, her outsmart her mother with the food situation. And also the higher ranking monkeys standing up for Teeny (in my mind that's how I want to perceive it lol) Bc I can't see any of the other monkeys all not caring about Teeny and seeing that Tina is stealing the food that is hers!
A few years from now I'd like to see Teeny with her own babies. I have a good feeling that she will be a good momma. She will be a good teacher, teaching her babies how to forage. Heavens knows she's had the experience for it

Tina has grabbed other member's kids and pulled them to her for having a mouth full of food. She also raids Teeny's pouches in front of everyone and has gone into hiding or looking around before doing it. Skinny is low rank too and hates Tina. So, I wonder if Tina's behavior toward her children has had any effect on how the troop feels nd treats hear.

Tina is Low ranking Low as you can get but she makes it worst for herself because she stays Larking in the woods special when she's staring at tenny and other monkey's that's higher rank than her seeing her staring at a baby course there going to run her off plus if she didn't play so timid and scared because I don't believe she is that bad because I say that because there's so many times she comes out of the woods gets her baby walks around with her Steele her food and send her on her way.
I agree she must have a bad reputation for something for to be treated like that because there are more monkeys in that group that is low-ranking and they don't get treated like that Am glad you said that.
