I mean, we are kinda like that too. Big unknown with a physical manifestation? At least half of us are gonna try to blow that shit up regusrdless of what it is or how docile it may be
I love how they go to the snake planet with Starship Troopers uniforms and how the past is just littered with resistance and terminator time travelers all just dropping in to assassinate and counter assassinate each other
Was watching this when suddenly two loud bangs rang outside our apartment complex which was followed by a our complex losing electricity. Thankfully theain office of our electricity provider was like a 10 min drive from us and they soon came by full force to restore electricity. Turns out everything was caused by a snake climbing the electric post and getting electricuted. Fucking weird coincidence.
I think the more accurate way to think about it is imagine if you weee suddenly given limbs you didn’t evolve for, like how if your arms turned into wings. Without a keelbone, massive chest muscles, air sacs, one way breathing, hollow bones, fast metabolism, lack of bladder and everything, you just literally lost the use of your arms and traded them for useless thin sticks. Snakes evolved to not use their limbs to move and giving one legs that it can barely hold itself up with is like removing its entire lifestyle without giving it an alternative.
@@matthew8153 Not so! There's the cyclic (stick) Collective (pitch control) , and Rudder pedals. All 3 have to been handled at the same time. Takes 2 hands and 2 feet
You know. That could make for a fun rts game concept. Instead of building units to send at your enemy, you send units back in time to a key historical moment in the enemy's history. There's an RTS called Achron that has a nifty time travel mechanic. For example You can destroy the workers that gathered the resources that enemy units were built with and those enemy units will disappear, along with any damage they did. Another example is sending a unit back in time to help the past self of itself win a fight. It's mad but works.
The cut from snakes disappearing to the two ballsack guys kicking the shit out of a cave man snake was wayyyy funnier to me than seeing the build up of the guys getting a call because you get to imagine them freaking out the entire time these time shenanigans are going on
I'm actually kind of amazed how this episode alone has ruined time travel for me. We never even saw the main characters themselves actually time travel.
Its so funny because they wanted to appear human to appeal to the family and protect them, but they should have worked a little longer on the disguise lmao
This episode gave us the most realistic take on time travel. You send one soldier into the future, if it works everything would change so if not you send another and another and they keep coming. Nobody else has used that for time travel. The snake bodies piling up on snake Hitler's balcony was IT for me, I had to pause to process what I was seeing.
I like how they send in a linguist expert to try and communicate with her, then just watch as she forcibly mates with him. "Sssshould we ssssstop them?" "Well... they're communicating in a sssense."
I absolutely love how Rick just concentrates and thinks about getting in deeper and that's all it takes for a future Rick and Morty to appear at that very second with snake costumes I love the way they totally Mock and destroy all the time travel sci-fi stories because it's true if you think about it it would be a never-ending Loop wouldn't it
Weirdly enough this is probably the most accurate depiction of how time travel would most likely work in real life when it involves killing or protecting certain people in the past lol I can't think of anything else that comes close to this, but if you got one don't hesitate to tell me otherwise.
Aight I’ll give this a shot cause it is fun to think about. Assuming that time travel to the past can actually affect the present/future rather than create an alternate timeline separate from the time travelers’ universe, my completely uneducated guess would be that one of three things happen: 1) a big flash of light appears moments after the time traveller has left reconfiguring the universe to reflect the changes made in the past (very unlikely unless it happens all the time and we just forget our previous memories) 2) someone (or something) appears the moment after the traveller leaves and causes ‘something’ to happen that was planned in anticipation of the time traveling (ie. Multiple snake assassins killing other snake assassins right before they snake assassinate snake hitler) 3) everything remains just the way it is because everything in history after the time travelers’ time period has already happened and thus sending someone back in time was the result of sending someone back in time (ie kinda how the terminator movies try to work).
I love the sheer absurdity of a bunch of time-traveling snakes trying to pull a Terminator on snake Hitler only to get reverse terminated again and again to the point where his house is overflowing with corpses.
Next thing we know, there's an episode involving a planet full of sentinent dogs that communicate with each other by barking instead of speaking in English
in season six dog world is in ruins as it is at total war with a cat world and snuffles is attacking the cat commander dog world is outside the curve but now rick can access worlds outside the curve with amber colored portal fluid
I thought morty had learned during the fart incident that “doing the right thing” isn’t aways a good idea, SPECIALLY when rick explicitly says so, and just like before it backfired horribly
