I just looted an Anti Armour 25% Faster Fire Rate 50% Reduced Item Degradation one today organically from a legendary enemy drop. I might start using it soon.
Bloodied caster is obviously the best, but the AA caster is AMAZING for larger/armored enemies like Super mutants, deathclaws, Queens, etc. Nice find dude 🔥
Might as well get the Prime Capacitor for +25% Damage and +65% Damage to Scorched, it changes the ammo type to Ultracite Plasma but it retains the same insane ammo efficiency/creation as the default so you will never run out.
Yess!! Glad to see the caster getting some more recognition. I just started using it and even though I have no attachments and no special build it's awesome!! I find myself selling huge amounts of ammo and collecting tons of nuclear material SIDE NOTE: I apologize if this is common knowledge, but if youre in first person theres a teqnique where you squeeze the left and right triggers at the same time and you can fire super fast triplets.
minerva sometimes has the plans, so you can get it at an earlier point, the damage is crazy, it's super powerful, fun to play and the ammo return is amazzzing, super efficient..
You used to get more ammo before the last patch you still get way more then you use. Players just missed Marvia selling it last week for 160 gold bullion
I just got a Bloodied 50crit -25 ap cost plasma caster from the new nuke event and it’s one of the few god rolls I’ve gotten that I didn’t end up crafting or trading so I decided to test it and as a religious bloodied commando since launch I can say I might have found a new favorite
I got the bp for plasma caster and the first one I made was a bloodied role and since I didn't have a bloodied build made I just left it in my stash and its still sitting their waiting to be used
I’m still learning about using it but I’ve noticed the instigator roll is solid for vats. I don’t know if I would use it without vats because it has such a slow projectile but I would have to guess it would be the double shot.

Absolutely love my Plasma caster always run around with 2 and my slug buster no need for any other weapons. Only wish that the game would let me roll a AA one 🤞🏼
Not seeing this anywhere but theres a glitch with the plasma caster to increase fire rate.. if you shoot 1 bullet hipfire then quickly aim and spam you do somewhat of a triple burst. The timing is a little odd but once you get it down you do so much more damage. I've been melting enemies once I figured this out by accident !
@@BarbsVault I recently made a plasma caster with extra robot damage, 25% increased zoom damage and faster movement speed while zoomed in! However I can't get its prime receiver yet since I don't have the Flux to make it yet.
I used it against the scorch beast queen and it was doing some very solid damage. Nothing to turn your nose up at for sure. It could kill a regular scorch beast lightning quick
I have yet to even find one I’m level 100 and crafted myself a godroll bloodied fixer, bloodied enclave plasma with a fire barrel, and even got a god roll quad Tesla rifle. Still no good Plasma casters 😔
You have to buy the plans for a plasma caster. I’m not totally positive if they drop randomly out in the world somewhere but you can go to vault 79 and buy the plans from Regs if you’ve beaten the main campaign.

You used 2 x 3pt Heavy Gunner perks that give you a total of 20% extra damage, when you could have used 3 x 1pt perk cards for 30% extra damage and given yourself an extra 3 perk points to use elsewhere. Your build is definitely not maximising the damage output of the plasma caster, but looks like a lot of QoL perks for your benefit, which is cool.
I actually updated my build for this gun in a later video but I for sure will go QOL over damage output at this point. I’m already killing things so fast so I might as well got QOL.

Defo need Prime capacitor for the increased damage and with this weapon you won't ever need to make ammo, heck i can't make Ultra cite ammo so put the find extra ammo in container perk on and collected loads of ammo. Never need to make ammo and have around 4k. It's super efficient! Surprisingly plasma ammo and fusion cell sell really quickly, people are hungry for that shit!
Go try ts5025 or just TS alien blaster, it's just amazing, and its a quiet gun, its just amazing. And the groll is just the Best gun in the game by a mile, for me at least. But man...
11 on strength with the legendary +5. Isn't the extra point on strength being wasted and should be used on another? Rank up that Agility legendary and move those 5 points to another. You should have 81 total points (56 and 25 from legendary). You only have 75. The max you can have is 86 if all legendary cards were for attributes. Probably move a couple to End to up that fireproof. Another the Cha to increase Tenderizer. The other 3 could be used added to Cha or Per.
@@BarbsVault you are using 5 that gives 25 extra points to the original 56 when maxed. You should have a total of 81 points to distribute to your perks but only have 75.
I don’t think you understand what I’m saying. Yes, I have 5 legendary perk card slots but I’m using 4 cards geared towards SPECIAL points and the last one is slotted out for Ammo factory or Follow Through which I find to be more useful given most circumstances.
@@BarbsVault nah the attributes from unyielding dont give damage, season let me max all my legendary perk cards so the int is also irrelevant, using expedition travel carry weight doesnt excist so str is irrelevant, agility gives u slightly more "stamina" but 45% armor pen is a 1.6 multiple from and increased stat isnt it like a 60% increase dmg bonus? id just take stabilise for the straight up damage bump over the quality of life stats unyielding gives
In my opinion the damage is already ridiculously fast and I have an addiction to making new builds so I want my INT to be as high possible so I can level up and make more.
@@BarbsVault ah did u scrap alot of cards for perk coins early on? Ive only been playing for 16 days a tips video told me to never scrap cards because i can get everything from seasons still basically have everything atm :p
I only scrapped cards when I was really getting my legendary perk cards dialed in. I don’t anymore, I can’t remember the last time I did actually. I like to level up and get the cards I need for a build I have in mind. That’s why I would never drop unyielding armor. The boost in every stat including intelligence is just too good to pass up.
Lol I believe it’s the name of the exact variant. I think you can just google that exact one and see the stats for it. If you’re on discord, I would suggest hopping in the FO76 server. I’ve learned a ton just from being in there and never even saying anything.
I wonder which one is better: Cremator or Plasmacaster? Anybody know? I can tell you for sure though, that cremator hits like a truck, but is NOT ammo-efficient.
@BarbsVault try it with a heavy guns build and demolition expert and gerenadier, I haven't gotten the slow burn mod yet, but apparently, it makes it even more powerful. I had furious, crit, and weight, so not even the best rolls, and that was after 4 rerolls. It's basically one shots gulpers on a slight delay because the burn is so powerful
@@domokun845 yes the Cremator is a strong gun but it can be a pain ammo wise. It uses 10 fuel for 1 shot so it's annoying to use if u shoot multiple times at 1 enemy!
@Gamerguy327 fr, ammo is def an annoyance, especially if you like to run events. But run a daily op, and you can get back in the black. It's great for mob clearing, but single target dps is still prob plasma gat or gauss mini.
