As always, I love your shows. I was really impressed that you included the Ohka flying bomb; also commonly called the 'Baka' (Fool) bomb by Allies. I love your collection of US Navy sailor figures. A guess at your Japanese pilots: Masatake Okumiya (leader of many Zero squadrons), and Saburo Sakai (Japan's leading surviving fighter ace), who co-wrote the non-fiction book "Zero!" with Martin Caidin. Your shows seem to stir things up on ebay. I'm seeing 1/32 scale Verlinden German ground crews and pilots for sale now and the Japanese pilot kits are also showing up more often now.

@@ThePlasticGeneral This Hasegawa model is pretty easy though. So far I've built the Lindberg LCVP, Tamiya SAS Jeep, Airfix Crusder Tank, Airfix Rommel's half track, the Tamiya Italian M13/40 tank (yeah, I know, it's 1/35th, but I like it), and I'm finishing the Zero. I've also got an 88mm PAK gun from AFV club I haven't finished. I had never built any Tamiya kits before. Now I know why so many people like them.

n 1274 and 1281 Kublai Khan, the Mongol emperor of China, sent out fleets to conquer Japan. Storms came up and dispersed the fleets both times. Those events reinforced the Japanese belief that their gods would forever protect them. Their salvation was kamikaze or, “divine wind.” In World War II Japanese Kamikaze pilots who were willing to give up their lives crashing planes into American ships were the "divine wind" of the 20th century. Didn't work out too well.
