Totally forgot about this one! It's crazy to run down memory lane. I think Colts fans wouldn't be as salty towards Andrew Luck had we found early success finding a replacement QB. The fact that we had to suffer through so many new faces felt like "insult to injury". Andrew Luck was like a supernova that burned quickly in the night sky, but I enjoyed watching every minute of it.

Luck may have been the smartest QB ever. He retired before the Colts got him killed. I'm still a colts fan but I hope they never treat another player as bad as they treated Luck.

@@ags5696luck would take unnecessary hits it’s not entirely the colts fault tbh. He also decided to reinjure himself while snowboarding only to retire over a minor leg strain a few weeks before the season after fans waited two years for his initial recovery. He waited too long to get shoulder surgery in the first place.

This is literally the perfect recap video to get me back up to speed, after not following NFL for 8 years or so. Luck was basically our Peyton Manning 2.0 in the making. I'm sooooo looking forward to Anthony Richardson next season

Honestly I thought the play would be the lacerated kidney vs the broncos but I think you might be right this might be the one that started it all. Dude was an absolute warrior and played through so much. But in the end Luck might have been too damn tough for his own good.

When it comes to injuries in the NFL which happen to everybody that plays, there are two kinds of players, particularly in the skill positions: Those who figure out how to protect themselves better and those who don't . If they don't learn they won't last no matter how good they are at the game. Andrew was one of the smartest and most talented to play the game, but I'm not sure he ever played smart enough to protect himself better.

I still do not fault AL for retiring the way he did. coming back from any injury will take a toll on you physically and mentally. It's also why AR is being wise along with the Colts front office because they don't want to repeat what happened with AL. AL will go down as the biggest "What if" but i think it's safe to say that AL did himself a good service retiring. Colts defiantly took AL for granted and suffered for it.

I clicked this thinking it would be 2012 in Detroit, when the Colts were losing…until the Lions failed to convert a 3rd down to allow them to run out the clock. The Colts got the ball back, and from their own end of the field, Luck engineered a TD drive in the final moments to win. I was there.

The real play that changed the colts was the redskin defense trying to rip Peyton mannings head off, causing his neck injury that led to the 2011 terrible season and getting luck while sending msnning off to retire elsewhere.

It's sad that he pretty much gave up on that play and prepared himself for the take down and 3 opponents still took him down in a way I think was unnecessary. I think secretly there is too much desire to take out the competition in many NFL defenses. Some play with great respect for the opponent, but a lot of them don't and some end up getting hurt unnecessarily! I've seen on many occasions when a defense is getting their ass handed to them the tackling starts getting a bit ridiculous and the poor sportsmanship you see will never go away! The QB before Luck had something happened to him years ago against Washington that I thought was equally disgusting, but we can blame that POS Greg Williams for that!

Those guys twisted Luck up and fell on him like he was a golf tee Hard luck for the Colts to have a brainiac QB, Luck knew what was up that good health gives money value so he cashed out took the money and ran. Ran while he was still functionally able to -- Brilliant!!

Back when stupid puppett grigson ran the team. Ballard has his moments but he is much better than grigson. Ryan grigson is the reason why luck was wasted. Bengals are doing exactly the same thing with burrow right now

No way ballard is better than ryan grigson man!! Under grigsons 3rd year as GM the team won the afc south and ballard is going into his 8th year as GM and is still struggling to put pieces together to win the south.. so grigson was arguably better.
