Ima huge bulls fan !! & that will always be my favorite series of that era damn 10 years ago and I still remember like it was yesterday two UConn legends goin at it !
Literally only two years ago, those two who should be franchise player who should be in their prime have severed career-ending injury and now both of them at Washington to make it back one day
Robin Reyes He stays with the Celtics they would have made it to the finals at least once by now. and John wall could have been a top 5 PG ever, he was literally a smaller version of LeBron James. And as Clutch as Kobe and MJ.
Man, game 2 was the game to win. It was IT's night, but Wall and Beal each had a chance to end the game at the end of regulation. They steal that game, I think they win the series
Beal the overthinker aimed that shot to the point of air balling it. The real problem in that series was IT constantly getting switches and killing our bigs. Clearly we didn’t have a playoff bench either
I love this series and rivalry. I was excited for the 2017-2018 season but IT got injured and traded. Celtics was different with Kyrie. That's not the Celtics team I used to hate. I wish we can go back to top again.
I'm a Cs fan. I remember watching this series in my dorm. It was crazy. If you never watched it live as a fan of either team then you wouldn't get why we still remember this series. Isaiah's 53 pt game, Rozier being clutch, Olynyk being the unlikely hero in game 7, and all the animosity between the 2 teams made it legendary
The noise level during that 26-0 run was epic. Some Celtics fans sitting in front of me mocked my loud analysis prior to that, but that 26-0 run sent them home early. In my opinion, win or loss, playoff tickets are too expensive to justify leaving early.
@@94mac So? He's still has super talent UNLESS he comes back from injury and shows that he isn't able to play to that level anymore. I honestly doubt Wall will ever sniff a championship in his time but you'd have tonne a stone cold hater to deny the fact that Wall is an elite baller when healthy.
Do people ever watch players like John wall or Drose and Look at the success of LeBron and see how lucky he’s had it? Like realistically he’s been able to dodge a prime PG, a prime Dwight, a Prime Drose and a Prime John wall who all suffered from injuries that made his finals run in the east so much easier. Just imagine if none of them got hurt. The NBA would be crazy
Lol like Bron never faced up against Gilbert Arenas, Rondo and Celtics Big 3, Prime Dwight Howard, Dirk Nowitzki in his best season and Spurs Big 3 then years later with emerging Kawhi Leonard. Those two PG you've mentioned could only lead to Lebron having chasedown block highlights even at their prime.
They aint lying , i watch that whole series . John Wall & Bradley Bill averaged 23.1 a game the season . John wall with double figure assist. I thought they couldve went to the ECF to challenge Kyrie ,Bron, and Klove to the finals but Celtics proved why they were the #1 Seed that year . That was the first year golden state was whooping everybody ass 😂😂 that year .
Damn, do I miss the days of the Wizards being good and batteling in the playoffs. 2015 to 2017 Wizards were a good team and back to back years were so close to making the conference finals.
This is amazing content!!!!!!!! Somebody should do a show like this: two players that faced off in legendary series rewatching and commenting on it. I’d subscribe!!
I was working in Dupont Circle at the time as a bartender at Public Bar (Sports Bar). Game 6... I remember the day vividly... Friday night... Muggy day with pouring rain outside... BUT the bar was packed cause of Celtics and Wizards... Personally I didn't think I was gonna make too much cause rain = nobody comes out to drink (most of the time). Then John Wall hits that game winner... My manager was shook. Other bartenders that don't even watch basketball exploded with emotions along with security guards. I personally lost it too and of course the whole bar erupted... And You could feel the vibes in all of DC... GAME 7! Yeah the Wizards lost the series but they sure put up one hell of a fight. Plus that night Wall hit that game winner... I made double of what I normally make in tips... Sure they are in the bottom of the standings today but I won't forget that shot EVER and moment.
Some fun battles, I remember Jae Crowder put his finger on John Wall’s nose and got slapped 😆😆. The league should never fine guys who retaliate for getting disrespected in a confrontation.
Yea! Keep up with the dope content. If only we had a bench. More specifically a back up POINT GAURD that year! 😢 My fav series so far! I miss rivalries like this! 💪🏾
As a Wiz fan that Game 2 L hurt the worst. I really felt like that one was 'the one that got away'. Even when John got the win in Game 6 with the huge shot, in the back of my mind I suspected we weren't gonna win in Boston. It's funny because even though Boston was by and far the better team, the Wizards and Celtics matched up very well with each other. Every game between them that season was entertaining.
Hopefully this could somehow shed some light to I.T. and help him get back to how dominant he was in 2016-2017 season, well atleast close to that level.
